Sorry, kcrail, this is a Community Forum.  All support is done here.  (BTW, posting your phone number in a Public Forum is somewhat akin to writing it on the wall of the bus station.  Never a good idea!)
Since you are running Windows 2000, you most likely have a pretty old version of Windows Media Player.  Easiest thing for you to do would be to puchase a USB Card Reader that supports Micro SD cards, and simply drag and drop your music to the /AUDIO folder on the card.  Put the card back into your phone and you're done!

  • Unable to transfer music to Zen X

When I try to transfer music from a CD to my Zen Xtra (40gb) I receive an error message that reads "Unable to create file". Please restart player. I've done this several times and it still doesn't work. What should I do?

BhSorry it has taken so long to get back to this issue. ?I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit, if that matters. ?I was able to drag and drop but didn't get the album art I wanted as well. ?How do I tell it where to get the songs from so that it doesn't think it is just a place holder
Thanks again for any help you can give. ?

  • Unable to transfer music..

For some reason, i updated to version 6.84 of the pc suite which includes nokia music manager 2.0 and now when i try to transfer music to my N72, it just keeps saying pending and none of the music gets transferred... I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with some sort of a fix for this problem ?

Nokia Music Manager is notoriously flakey. I gave up using it ages ago.
The quickest workaround is simply to use file manager to drag and drop the MP3/AAC files to:
    [card]:\Sounds\Digital
On your phone. If you connect using a USB cable, then selecting "Data transfer" mode will make the transfers significantly faster - though not as fast as putting the memory card into a card reader attached to the PC (if that's an option).
If you need to rip the songs from CDs, you can use Windows Media Player or iTunes. Go into settings and select MP3 as the file format (Windows Media Player) and crank the quality way down to keep the file sizes small (both).

You do make an interesting point. I have read that trying a different computer user account has been suggested with some syncing problems. What you can do before you sync is to make sure that all of the apps still show in iTunes before you do start the sync.
I don't know if a different user account on the computer will revert to a totally clean iTunes library. If it does, then you should know that when you connect the iPad and try to sync. I would think that iTunes will give you the "erase this iPad" message before you sync.
However - If you auto sync, turn that off first. At least you can experiment without danger of losing anything. Then you will not lose anything by accident. Also - backup your iPad before you log in with a different user account. I think that you can also choose the original (your own) iTunes library if you are in the second account. Read this.
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2011/01/keeping-multiple-itunes-librar ies-on-a-single-computerif-you-share-your-computer-with-others-and-you.html
On a Mac - Launch iTunes, and from the menu go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices> and check the box - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing.
If you are using Windows go to Edit>Preferences>Devices ......
I would think in a worst case scenario would be log in with your own account and then sync the apps back to the iPad - or simply restore your iPad from a backup.
Having said all of this DO NOT do anything that you are not totally comfortable with doing. I still believe though that iTunes should warn you about erasing if the second account thing doesn't work. As long as you turn off auto sync, you should be able to at least check this scenario out and then make your decision.

  • HT201269 I'm unable to transfer music

I had some CDs that I downloaded to my Itunes account to put on my Ipod touch and now I would like to transfer those same CDs to my new Iphone 4S and I"m unable to do so.  I can transfer things that i have purchased from Itunes, but that is it.  Please let

Instead of trying to transfer that music from your iPod, transfer it from iTunes on your computer to your iPhone.
Simply sync your iPhone using iTunes on your computer.

  • Unable to transfer music from MacBook Pro iTunes to iPod iTunes

After syncing my iPod to my computer through iTunes, I have always had my music transfer over without any problems.  Yet this time, after trying to transfer all the songs from my computer to my iPod (which was just a single album), it did not work, meaning I couldn't locate the album anywhere in my iPod.  It might be because I downloaded the album on my iPhone, then synced it to my computer (which was successful), and that could be part of the problem, but I'm not sure.

I figured it out! Here's what I did:
    1. Hook up your iPod to your computer using an HDMI cable (the same way you would when syncing your music)
    2. In your iTunes library, locate the album that you would like to transfer, then click on it.
    3. When you see the black box open with all of the album's songs in it, you will also see a PLAY button, a SHUFFLE button, and an arrow in a circle button next to the title of the album. Click the arrow in the circle button (I don't know what else to call it)
    4. Click ADD TO, then select the device you would like to add the album to, or the playlist you would like to add it to.
    5. Your iTunes will then process the data (transfer the album) from your iTunes library to your iPod.
HOPE THIS HELPS TO ALL THOSE IN NEED!!!

  • Unable to transfer music from ipod to new laptop

I have had to purchase a new laptop and want to transfer my music, etc, from my ipod onto my newly installed itunes, so I can then transfer it onto my ipad.
I can see the music on my ipod, but when I try and drag the music into the library on itunes, a red 'no' symbol is displayed.

The sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases:  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • Unable to transfer music purchase from iPad to Macbook

I have tried everything to transfer the purchased music on my iPad to my macbook. It simply won't transfer. Any idea's?

    Hi BluJunco,
Happy Holidays!  The resource below may help you get your iPad purchases on your MacBook.
Re-download or transfer your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad or iPod to a computer - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT1848
If you purchased items from the iTunes Store and you've stored them on only your iOS device or iPod, you can transfer them to any computer that is authorized with your Apple ID.
The easiest way to add past iTunes Store purchases to your iOS device is to re-download them from iTunes in the Cloud.
You can also transfer your purchases from your device to your computer.
Transfer your purchases to your computer
Before you transfer your purchases, make sure that your computer is authorized with the same Apple IDaccount you used to make the purchases. Learn how to authorize your computer using iTunes.
If you bought the iTunes Store content on your device using multiple Apple ID accounts, you'll need to authorize the computer for each one.
To transfer purchases from your device to a computer:
Connect your device to the computer. Wait for its icon to appear in iTunes.
Go to File > Devices. If you're using iTunes for Windows and can't see the menu bar, learn how to turn on iTunes menus in Windows.
Choose Transfer Purchases from [device name].
This feature works only for content bought from the iTunes Store. Any items that you imported from audio CDs or received from other sources won't copy from your device to the iTunes library. However, all podcasts from your device's Podcasts app and copies of all PDFs and books from your device's iBooks app will transfer to the computer. Learn how to transfer media to your iTunes library.

  • HT1351 Unable to transfer music, say's that files cannot be found but they are in my iTunes library

I have a new ipod Nano 7th gen and even though I have transferred my music into my PC, it tells me that I t can't sync them to my ipod, as they cannot be found, even though they are in my playlist and are playing through the PC.

    Hello, Allisysltd.
Most likely the media that was transferred is not where iTunes can read it.  Not to worry as I have done the same thing and it is easily correctable.  I have included a article below that goes over how to direct iTunes to read your library if it is not in the default location.  Also, I have  included a second article that shows you where the iTunes music or media folder is located on Windows 8.

  • Unable to transfer music from coputer to ipod

    help!
i wnat to synch the musin fron ituens to my ipod shuffle.
    and i cannot!
    tks,
    s.

I fixed mine! let me tell you what I did -- i was searching more discussions and somebody had on there -- i went to start, then programs, then ipod, then ipod updater ((the newest one )). I think clicked restore (although, this deletes everything on your ipod, that wasn't a concern for me because somehow my entire ipod got deleted the other night!) and it restored it to factory settings. Then i went to Itunes and transferred the songs. If that doesnt work another person told me that your ipod drive (mine was E:) might be networked to another network drive so i changed it by going to control panel and then clicked on "switch to classic view" on the left hand side. THen i clicked on administrative tools, followed by computer management. On the left hand side at the bottom there was something called disk management, click on it then right click on your ipod drive and say change drive .Then change it to a drive that won't be associated with another one ( i chose s) and thats what got my ipod back! sorry this is so long and i hope it helps you!
