I have a macbook pro and I connected a new iphone to my computer. Somehow all my pictures in the iphoto app deleted. How can I get them back, and no I do not have my TimeMachine On. Please help!
If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.
This HP document may help explain how driver software is distributed now:

My computer had to be restored at the apple store. When they did it my Microsoft word, powerpoint, and excel were all deleted! How can I get them back? Who do I talk to, Apple or Microsoft?
you are responsible for reinstalling any apps. It is not Apples responsibility as outline the the service agreement. Do you have the product key?

I updated my Macbook, and All of my apple desktop pictures were deleted. How can I get them back?, I updated my Macbook, and All of my apple desktop pictures were deleted. How can I get them back?
Oh!
First thing I think would be to do a search for the folder in case it's somehow got moved.
Failing that, you can retrieve the folder from your original installer disc using Pacifist.
Insert the disc (don't boot from it) and open the installer package with Pacifist. Navigate to the Desktop Pictures folder (might be a bit more fiddly to find in the package structure). When you find it, select the folder, right-click (or ctrl-click) and select 'install in default location' from the context menu.
Exit Pacifist and eject the disc.

Some of my movies I had on my iPod deleted and I can't get them back?
I had The Hunger Games, Breaking Dawn Part 2, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower on my iPod. They were a free digital copy download from when I bought the movies. I backed up my iPod after putting them on, but today I plugged my iPod into my computer and deleted my purchases (I got those back) but it deleted Breaking Dawn Part 2, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I cannot get them back! Could I have some help?
Synced media like apps, music and videos are not included in the backup that iTunes makes.
If you can't redownload the digital copies by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store and y do not have them on your computer or computer file backup than all you can do is contact iTunes

I-cloud in my i-pad settings was accidentally deleted. How can I get this back?
Usually I-cloud is in the settings folder under mail, contacts, etc. It isn't there and I'm not sure where it went to or when. Is there a way for me to get it back without having to buy it?
iCloud is free. If your iPad is running iOS 5, there will be an iCloud item in the main Settings list. Click that and you should be able to set the iCloud account up again.

Safari accidentally DELETED!! Can I get it back?
I by accident deleted Safari and I don't have the installation CD. So now I'm stuck without Safari and when I try and download a version that works with 10.3.9 it looks for a previous version of Safari but obviously I don't have this. Could someone help me in getting the latest version of Safari that works on 10.3.9 on my computer. Is there any way?
Hi
Welcome to Apple Discussions
This is somewhat obscure, however, there does exist a downloadable copy of Safari 1.2. You'll need to use another browser, or someone else's computer to get a copy.
Before downloading, open the Finder. There navigate to HD>Library>Receipts and move to the trash (command/delete) any Safari receipt package.
Next, download Safari 1.2 from here.
Once installed, apply the 10.3.9 Combined Update. Do not use the computer during the install. Once done, go to your Utilities folder>Disk Utility and "repair permissions". This update brings Safari up to v 1.3 (unless Apple has since updated the Combined Update to include Safari 1.3.2). You can check Safari's version by going to the Finder: Applications>Safari.app and opening the Info panel of the application (command/I keys after single clicking on Safari). If it's 1.3.2 you're complete.
Otherwise, you can bring Safari up to version 1.3.2 as follow: first, apply the 1.3.1 update, followed by the 1.3.2 update. Once finished, again "repair permissions".
Now go to Software Update in your System Preferences and check for updates. There may or may not be Security Updates for Safari. If there are, select them and let them install. As mentioned above, do not use the computer while the Installer is running. -
All my notes have been deleted and I can't get them back
M-My notes had doubled so. Deleted the doubled up notes when I went on the app late they had all dissapeared my phine and ipad have since synced with icloud again is thee anyway of retrieving them I am desperate
You probably deleted them yourself and they weren't actually doubled. If you have a recent backup, restore that backup (you may want to get any pictures off the phone since the backup) to see if your notes are contained in the backup.

I have accidentally deleted Safari and can't get it back...
I've read previous topics about this problem, but none of them have solved it for me.
I'm running Tiger, and do not have Leopard.
I tried the install disc method which involves running the Optional Installs.mpkg file, but that file is not on my install disc. I do have a similar file, but among the programs it installs (such as Garage Band, Mail, etc), Safari is not one of them.
It's probably worth noting that I do have Safari.app in my applications folder, but the icon is a generic application icon, not the safari icon, and when I click to run it, it tells me it is incomplete or damaged, and cannot run.
Please, I'd really appreciate any solution to this problem. Thank you.*Hi Captain, Welcome* to Apple's Users Help Users Forums.
Neils method will certainly work. I think you can do it this way too. On your install disc look for Optional installs. You will then need to Combo update to where you want to be. (10.4.11)

I accidentally deleted a photobook--can I get it back?
I've been regularly backing up with Time Machine but can't seem to find the book. I have all of the photos--no problem there, but I don't know where to look in Time Machine. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
MBOk, how do I go about doing that, and what exactly will that entail? Will it restore every photo I've ever deleted, or just since the last Time Machine sync? When I'm in TM, I see all of the photos that I've used and albums and such in the left hand margin, but there's no heading for Keepsakes, which books fall under.

Lost documents... Can i get them back?
Hi Guys
I am hoping someone can help me and all is not lost.
I was using Illustrator CS5 on Windows, with a number of documents open when I had to leave my office to deal with a screaming daughter. I was then a little distracted before I managed to get back to my laptop. To my horror my laptop had installed some updates and automatically restarted. And you guessed it my files were gone. I know I know I should have been periodically saving them as I worked on them and stupidly enough I had with one but not the others.
I quickly checked the recycling bin to see if a back copy was there as I had heard that this is sometimes the case. I did find one document that was modified at the correct time and date but with some random name. I tried restoring it to find out what it was and now have no idea where it has been restored to.
Where would it be? Could this be the document I am looking for? If not can I get them back?
Is there away via Illustrator to bring up recently unsaved documents? I know you can do this through recent documents in the File drop down menu but this only has documents that I saved in it. I know this is unlikely but I still have hope or should I say I am praying.
Please tell me there is hope.
Thanks for your time.No. When nothing was saved, there's nothing to restore - all your documents only ever existed in their modified state RAM, not on your harddrive and AI doesn't do auto-saves nor does it any longer produce crash recovery files as it did in older versions before CS or so. If there are any randomly named AI files, then they were produced by the operating system, but that mustn't mean they are actually usable. They could merely be memory dumps of the last active state, not structured data files. Hopeless case for the most part and before wasting time trying to search something that doesn't exist you better simply start over...

First key pressed doesn't work?
Strange, but lately, I would say about 85% of the time, the first key I hit on my keyboard doesn't work. It doesn't matter what key, letter or number, it doesn't work. I'll look up at what I've typed and the first letter is always missing. It's turni
