Probably a dumb question but can I have two versions of Firefox on my system at the same time?
The reason is because of Add Ons that are not compatible with v4. I'd like to be able to close v4 when I need to use an Add On in v3.

You can install them both but there are a few steps to take.
When you install Firefox 4 use the custom installation option and choose a different location to install Firefox.
In order to use both versions, you need to create a new profile for Firefox 4 (Firefox stores user data in the profile). Using the same profile with different versions can cause problems. Once you create a new profile you can copy certain data such as bookmarks and passwords between them. You can also use Firefox Sync to keep the profiles synchronized. Finally, you will need to set up shortcuts to launch the correct profile for each version.

Can I install two versions of NW in the same server?

I have BW installed in a server running on Netweaver 7.3. but I need to install Netweaver 7.02 to do some tests, is it possible to install this other version in the same server? or will there be conflicts after the installation of the second version?

sapinst detects existing instances, and makes sure that you dont use the same instance numbers => same tcp ip ports for diferent sap instances, wich would cause conflits.
so in the limit you can install any number os sap systems on the same host, given you have enought hardware resourses.

How can I run two independant LabView applications from the same computer, without taking a performance hit?

I have two identical, but independant test stations, both feeding data back to a Data Acquisition Computer running LabView 6.1. Everything is duplicated at the computer as well, with two E-series multifunction I/O cards (one for each test station) and two instances of the same LabView program for acquiring and analysing the data. The DAQ computer has a Celeron processor w/ 850Mhz clock and 512MB memory, and is running on Windows NT.
I have noticed that when I run both the applications simultaneously, I take a substantial performance hit in terms of processing speed (as opposed to running just one program). Why does this happen and how can I prevent it? (In t
his particular case, it may be possible to combine both the tests into one program since they are identical, but independant, simultaneous control of two different LabView programs is a concept I need to prove out).

Depending on your application, you may or may not be able to improve things.
Firstly, each task requires CPU time, so a certain performance difference is guaranteed. Making sure you have a "wait until ms" in every while loop helps in all but the most CPU intensive programs.
Secondly, if you are
1) streaming data to disk
2) Acquiring lots of data over the PCI bus
3) Sending lots of data o ver the network
you can have bottlenecks elsewhere than in your program (limited Disk, PCI or Network bandwidth).
Avoid also displaying data which doesn`t need to be displayed. An array indicator which only shows one element still needs a lot of processing time if the array itself is large.... Best is to set the indicator invisible if this is the case.
I think
it would be best if you could give some more information about the amount of data being acquired, processed and sent. Then maybe it will be more obvious where you can optimise things. If you are running W2000, try activating the task manager while the program(s) are sunning to see where the bottleneck is.

as the window resizes the UIcontrols are also resized if wrapping is enabled and they will be in same row.
as u mentioned they are two containers in root container but appears one by one do as below
for root container
set layout - grid layout
colcount - 2
for 1st child container
set layout -grid layout
set colspan - 1
as u requre 3 Ui control in it
set colcount of child container to 3
add the UI controls
set the colspan of UI controls to 1.
do as same for second container

How can I get two cameras to aquire at the same time rather than one after the other

I've got (2) PCI-1428 cards, Two Uniq Vision cameras with power supplies, cameralink cables, and IMAQ-D6804 cables. Both cameras are being triggered by the same switch, but they are not grabbing images at the same time. Right now it is triggering one camera as desired, but the other doesn't aquire until after the time-sensitive event. On the next test, the two camera will trade these roles. I am using 2 cards, so they should acquire at the same time. How do I change it so that they grab images at the same time? Thank you for your help.

Hi Deater,
Thank you for your post. Triggering from two cameras at the same time may be a little trickey, but it can be done. There are multiple ways to tackle this problem. If you have a RTSI cable, you can RTSI the two PCI boards together internally to lock them in HW. You should also be able to use the triggering line on each board.
One of the best methods for triggering multiple boards is called GenLocking. The following Developer Zone page describes GenLocking more fully and has several examples to help you out: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/a387b5c0ac6f6f4e86256c87005fcddf.

How can I keep all of my students on the same page in an iBook?

My school is in the process of giving each student an iPad Mini, one grade at a time. As a ninth grade teacher, all of my students have one, but we are having some trouble staying on the same page when we are reading a novel ( no pun intended ). What I mean is that what appears on page fifty for me will appear on page forty for one student and on page sixty for another. I tried to fix this by having all of my students keeping their iPads in landscape orientation, but that did not solve the issue. I then tried to have students adjust the size the font on their books so we would have a uniform text, but the tool for adjusting the size images this tricky as well.
I am considering having all of my students make their font size as small as possible and then giving them a specific number of times to tap on the font increase, but I am hoping to find a simpler method. Am I overlooking something?

Well, I don't know about why anyone else needs it, but for me it's for the papers I have to write for my masters program. The professors like to have the rubric attached to the bottome of the document so they easily grade and keep things organized. They of course give directions on how to easily change the orientation of the last page in Word, but not all of use Word, or even want to use Word. Maybe I need to ditch Pages and go to Word? I'd really hate to do that!
So, come on Apple, let's get this feature added, stat!

You have got a good answer from Claire, but if you are using a keyboard with a standard Spanish layout, you have to use SHIFT + [ to rotate to the right.
You can also use ´ and ` (to the right of the letter P) to rotate the image. This is the location of the [ and ] on the US layout.
If you use a Spanish ISO Layout on your keyboard, then you have to use ´ or ` since the [ is replaced by the º in the layout.
You can also use the buttons for rotation in the Control Bar at the bottom of the window

How can I Resize Two or More Shapes At The Same Time?

I've got text over a rectangle over another rectangle. When I change my text, the size of the boxes needs to change and it's a drag ot have to do each one separately and constantly realign. Is there a way I can resize both of them at the same time tokeep the proportions the same?
Or is there a way I can enter #s to resize, so I could just enter the same #s for each shape?

Here's an example of what Wyodor is referring to: text in shapes within another shape.. It goes one step further and adds the first shape+text into another shape but the concept is the same.
