  • PLEASE HELP! How can I recover deleted videos frommy camera roll?

Hello. I was making a video in iMovie and when it came down to exporting in 720p, it said I did not have enough room. So, I accidentally deleted a few videos from my camera roll. These were the video clips that I used in my iMovie so when I try playing the movie, the videos I deleted won't show up. How can I recover these deleted videos??? Please help! This is a video for someones birthday that is coming up soon. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Are you talking about iMovie on the iPhone, or iMovie '11? If you used iMovie '11 you had to get your media onto the computer. If you're talking about iMovie on the iPhone I think you want to be on http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1140
I don't know if DriveSavers can work with an iPhone. It involves opening the hard drive in a clean room, and I don't think you can do that with an iPhone drive.

  • I deleted some videos from camera roll but they still appear in the videos folder

I removed some videos from my 4s to my computer but they still appear in a file called videos on my phone.  The file Videos doesn't show up on my computer when I plug my phone in to the USB.  How can I see this file on my computer when my phone is plugged in?

The "Photos section" within the Photos app is just a view of your Photo Stream, organized by dates and locations.  You can see the exact same content by looking at "My Photo Stream" within the Albums section of the Photos app.
So, deleting things from Camera Roll will have no effect on Photo Stream nor the "Photos" section of the app, except for pictures in Camera Roll which may not have been uploaded to Photo Stream yet.

  • How do I backup my iPhoto Library to an external hard drive and keep my photos grouped by their events?

How can I backup my iPhoto Library to an external hard drive and keep my photos grouped by their events?

I have attempted to make sure my iPhoto library has been backed up on the external hard drive and that it is safe to delete some events from my internal hard drive
You need to think this through.
Time Machine is a back up application. It keeps a rolling back up of the data. It's called rolling because it means you can revert to the data you had on a specific date and time. But that's not eternal, and as time goes by, and your drive fills up, older backups are deleted. So if you delete Events on your Mac they will - eventually - also be deleted from the Time Machine back up.
If you wan tot archive data hendon't use Time Machine for that job. Here's how you might archive an iPhoto Library:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
Now you have two full versions of the Library.
    3. On the Internal library, trash the Events you don't want there
Now you have a full copy of the Library on the External and a smaller subset on the Internal
    Some Notes:
As a general rule: when deleting photos do them in batches of about 100 at a time. iPhoto can baulk at trashing large numbers at one go.
You can choose which Library to open: Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
You can keep the Library on the external updated with new imports using iPhoto Library Manager

  • How to add videos to Camera Roll?

Somehow when I setup my new iPhone 4, all my photos/videos from my 3GS got synced into my Camera Roll. Today, I had over 2k photos/videos in the camera roll, so I decided to organize them. I sunk everything into iPhoto on my MacBook Pro, and then DELETED all the originals (so they wouldn't be cluttering my Camera Roll). Well now NONE of the videos that were originally in the camera roll are NOT showing up on my phone. I am very irritated and upset, I use photos/videos everyday for work, and NONE of the videos i've taken with my iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 are on my phone. Now I have a few meeting with some clients later this week and need to show them these videos, my job revolves around it. Can someone PLEASE shed some light on this and give me some info on how to put the videos back onto my phone (even if they HAVE to be in "Camera Roll").
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
I have a similar problem. I transfered the videos I took with my ipod touch 4g 64gb and now I wanted to add them back into my ipod on photos Camera Roll. I went to the photos tab and checked "Include Videos" but everytime it starts to sync, Itunes stops working and a popout appears and says that Itunes encountered a problem and needs to shut. What can I do?

Photo Stream is not a backup.
Photo Stream has a limit so is temporary.
iTunes does not handle the import of photos/videos from any digital camera including from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

How to move my videos from videos to camera roll?? I can not access them to create a proyect in imovie...

As far as I know, iMovie will recognize only Firewire connected camcorders. If you are connecting with USB, it will never work.
If the memory card is removable, take it out and use a card reader to copy the video to your Mac.
    I found this from a topic ………

lost my iphone and can't find photos and videos from camera roll on my computer. where are they?

    Where did you put them?
These are not part of the sync process at all, as the manual tells you.  You should be importing them to your comptuer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

  • How can I save my photo stream pictures?

So, Apple in it's infinate wisdom has nearly ruined my honeymoon and I'm at my wits end to save what is left of my digital archive of the trip.  How on earth can I SAVE my photo stream pictures OFF of an iDevice??  I have 210 pictures that I desperately need to save onto my computer and the only place they exist at the moment is inside the photostream.
Not that it matters, but let me vent... the reason they only exist is in the photo stream is because of Apple's under-prepared servers for iOS5 deployment and a glitch in iTunes that wiped my phone immediately as I plugged it in today (no sync, no confirm, just plug, beep, and then a wiped phone in under 5 seconds).
I lost all of my phone content, which luckilly I'm an exchange user so the most important stuff is always duplicated off the device.  But my pictures and video from my week long honeymoon were on my phone and while SOME of them did sync to iCloud, not all of them did (still don't know why THAT is - but that's the next mission) and NONE of my videos were in the cloud.  On top of that, no backup has been done by iCloud in over a week even though I have been on wifi and charging several nights on the trip, and all last night once I got home.  No backup.  Wiped phone.  *** Apple.
Where I stand right now is a photo stream full of pictures that I want to save and cannot seem to get to.  First thought was that since iCloud is a cloud based service I bet I can log into a web site and see all of my content an save it from there.  Nope.  This is Apple so of course that option would make too much sense.  All I can do from the web portal is look at pretty icons and delete my pictures.  I can't even browse them, much less save them.  Again, ***.
So next on my now restored phone (from a week old backup) I can see my photo stream and a nice little save button exists.  Good, that'll save it to the camera roll and I can copy them off like the other pictures.  Nope.  I select some pictures, click save, and nothing happens.  I select 20 or so pictures, click save, and 2 pictures show up in my camera roll??  Again, *** Apple.
So there is also an option to add the pictures to a new album.  Ok, here we go.  Select all 210 pictures, add to a new album, and yes it makes a new album.  Now to save that album off to my PC... NOPE.  The album is nowhere to be found in the file system (where the camera roll pictures live).
Ok, so at least I can now back up my phone so I know that these pictures won't just fall off the iCloud in 30 days.  Backup goes fine... and is 30M in size.  Son of a...!  There is no way that backup includes all those pictures.
I installed the Windows iCloud manager - that sounds like it would let you MANAGE your iCloud content, but nope.  You can manage your payment info, and have it stream NEW photos to you, but you cannot get to your existing photos!  One last time Apple... W T F.
How can I retrieve photos that are in my photo stream?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Yes you can do that, select the rectangle with the arrow in it, in the top right hand corner of your photo stream screen and select the pictures you wish to save to your camera roll then tap the save button at the bottom of the screen and choose camera roll from the options that appear.

  • What url is used to send videos in camera roll to youtube?

Our school blocks youtube.com on the wireless network, which is fine, but my students need to send videos they create on 4g iPod Touches to YouTube and currently can't. School personnel says if I can tell them url to unblock, they will allow the upload. Uploading videos in Camera Roll works successfully from home, but I see no url and don't know how to track it.
I know they log blocked traffic at school and could look this up, but they don't want to take the time to do this; they want a url they can paste into their filtering appliance.

Your photos are included with your photos in iPhoto.  They display with a small videocamera icon at the bottom left of the thumbnail and the elasped time at the bottom right.

  • HT201317 how do I save my photo stream photos to my camera roll? It's not working.

how do I save my photo stream photos to my camera roll? It's not working.

Photo stream photos are not included in your backup, only camera roll photos are.  Photo stream photos can only be accessed from an iOS device or computer that is signed into your iCloud account and has photo stream enabled.  However, they only remain in iCloud for 30 days; if the photos are older than that they are no longer available to download.
If the photos were in the camera roll on your 3GS when you last backed it up, restoring the backup to another iPHone should recover them.  If this is an iCloud backup, you'll need to do this before the backup is 180 days old or Apple will delete it.
If you need to restore the iCloud backup to your 4s, back up your 4s to your computer using iTunes, then restore the iCloud backup of your old phone to it, import the recovered photos to your computer (as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then restore your phone to the iTunes backup your made earler to recover your data.

  • Does deleting your videos in camera roll go to the cloud

I am trying to get more storage on my ipad2....what do I do to remove videos from camera roll without permanently deleting them?

If you delete the videos from the camer roll, they will be gone - unless you import them to your computer.

iCloud is not an external storage drive in the sky, it is backup storage in the sky. You cannot upload and download from iCloud like you can copy and transfer files to and from an external hard drive.

  • How do I down load pictures from Camera Roll that were

How do I down load pictures from Camera Roll on my iPhone to my Mac Pro that were taken prior to iCloud?

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. This was the same prior to photo streaming with iCloud and remains the same since.
With a Mac, you can use iPhoto for the import which also supports iCloud photo streaming, or the Image Capture application.
