My daughter's ipod touch is not working properly. I would like to restore it back to factory settings to see if that will help, but she doesn't want to lose her world on Mine Craft. Is there a way to backup game data?

Game data is included in the iPod backup that both iCloud and iTunes makes. Just make sure that you do not backup the iPod after restoring the iPod to factory settings/new iPod since the new backup may overwrite the previous backup.
Also, some games maintain status on servers so all you have to do is sign in with the same account, Most GameCenter games are that way.

Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; devices running an iOS version prior to 5.0 can't be updated straight from the device. It will be updated to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware.

it doesn't matter now i fixed it by reading other discussions: way to solve the problem:
install the game again play on it for a little bit and then delete it and it should say: deleting it will delete all of it's data or something like that =D

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

iDVD is not longer officially supported by Apple, but still works like a champ.
In iMovie 10, go to File>Share>File, choose the size (probably should choose either SD or Large) then click Next, give it a name, then click Save (remember where you saved it).
When the activity indicator shows that the Share has completed (may take a while depending on your hardware and the length of the movie) go to iDVD. Go to File>Import>Video and select the file you just created. It will bring the video into your iDVD project.
