HT1766 I am trying to up date my phone to iOS7 and now my phone is stuck with the itunes symbol and a connect to computer picture and I can't use my phone. I attached the phone to computer and have downloaded itunes to my computer but I have no idea what
I am trying to update my phone and the phone is frozen on a screen that has the itunes symbol and the computer connection showing.
I did not have itunes on my computer.
So I downloaded itunes set up which took an hour or so.
Now what do I do?
Please check 2 things in your computer.
1. Right click 'My Computer' => Manage => Services & Applications => Services. Look for Apple Mobile Service at the top. Status must be STARTED. If stop, please start it.
2. Open iTunes in computer. For Windows 7, go to iTunes Store => Authorise this Computer => key-in your Apple ID and password when prompted. For Windows 8, press ALT and S together. A pop-up window would show information of authorising computer. Click Authorise this Computer => key-in your Apple ID and password when prompted.

My question says it all...if I use Master Password will it keep a "nosy" tech out of my list of sites/usernames/and passwords or should I delete all of them after making a copy off computer so they don't have access? When the computer is returned I need to go to each site and reenter the information
If you put a password, it should keep most nosy people off your PC. Or, you can always simply back up your current profile on like a thumb drive, etc. Then delete your current one. when you get the PC back, just put your old profile back. You can read [[Backing up your information]] for instructions on how to do this.

I have tried to restore my old iPhone 3, but when i tried the itunes logo and a pic of a USB cable have come up on my phone and now i cant do anything with my phone.Any ideas how i can fix this? I'm sorry to learn that your phone is having problems starting up, marinema08. I'm sorry if this is incorrect, but are you using the original HTC Droid Incredible or a later Droid Incredible model? Every time I connect my iPhone 4s to iTunes on my Mac, it tries to set up my phone as a new one/restore from back up. I have it all set up already, but it keeps appearing. What do I need to do to stop this?

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -

hi, I was about to reset my iphone3g when I accidentally selected erase all contents and setting. It was stucked with the iphone logo, so i tried to fix it by restoring all my datas in iTunes. I was able to successfully fix it but when I inserted my sim card it says that simcard not recognized. I tried all the solutions in the net but nothing seemed to work. What should I do? Yes, but be aware that you may end up getting duplicates of all Cloud synced information on both phones. Either you disable iCloud altogether or give each phone a separate Apple ID and computer user account.
Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data. Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

I can't use Photobooth - when I open the app, I get the message: "Photo Booth couldn't save your photos - Photo Both encountered an error when trying to save your photos. You photos cannot be saved at this time."
i tried adding user macintosh hd/users/your_user/pictures/"photo booth" but still photo booth is not working and even images in photo booth cant be deleted they keep coming backBack up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box markedAllow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.

If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it -
