HT1766 I am unable to verify my icloud account for my ipad and ipad mini
Help - for both my ipad and my ipad mini - i have been unable to set up my icloud back up because the email id i currently have as my sign in - i no longer have access to.....so it is sending a verification email to an account I can't access. I tried changing it to my current email account, but it won't let me do that either since that is my rescue email - any ideas?
I have been trying to activate my icloud on my mackbook pro running the latest lion 10.7.3 for the last 2 weeks without any luck. It says verifiction e-mail sent check your e-mail, but I never get any e-mail checke all folders no e-mail from apple. Is somebody have the same proble? How I can verify with my apple id? any help appreciated

First I would try quitting out of the mail application by double tapping the home button and holding down on the app until it starts shaking, then hit the red minus that shows up in the top left corner. After try turning your phone off completely and turning it back on.

We are running yosemite OS X 10.10 and iOS 8.0.2... Is there any way to do this?

Hi All, I am using iphone in UAE and ipad in India usinging same apple id. Earlier I could do imessage to my Ipad with different name but with software update,I am unable to do, as signing id for the iphone and ipad is same.How to restore back
I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

My iPhone and iPad are on my moms icloud account and i just got a macbook air and i want all my devices on my own iCloud account - i went to all of my settings and it won't let me change my iCloud account on my phone and iPad. can i change this?
You will have to do more than simply changing settings in your moms account. To set up everything in your own account, go to Settings > iCloud > scroll down and press sign out. From this, check out this link for how to setup iCloud on all of your devices after making a new icloud account on your phone: https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Before you set that up, you will have to make a new iCould account which you can simply do after you sign out of your mom's account on your devices.

Change it as with a new or different iCloud account?
If so, delete the existing account at Settings > iCloud. The Delete Account option is available at the very bottom the the account settings window.

Help! I have created seperate icloud accounts for my kids devices and mine. My daughters contacts and mine keep merging anyways. If I turn contacts off and then back on on my phone in icloud, I get duplicates. Now I have triplicates!! I've double chcked that we are both logged in to our own accounts. How do I stop this, its gonna be a lot of editing out duplicate/triplicate contacts in my list. NOT HAPPY!! Another problem....When I go to create a new message and search by name, all numbers, including those I have changed because the person got a new number, will show up. Why is that happenning if I have deleted or changed them? I end up not knowing what number to use. It's extremely frustrating!!
When you turn contacts to off in Settings>iCloud, you should be choosing Delete from My iPhone when prompted, as they will be synced back to your phone when your turn contacts back to on. If you are choosing Keep on My iPhone, turning contacts back to on in Settings>iCloud, then choosing Merge when prompted, you are merging a second (or third) copy of your contacts with your account each time you do.
The autocomplete suggestions you get when you create a new message, compose a text message, or perform a spotlight search, are stored in cache memory. Once in cache memory, it remains on the device even if the corresponding contact is later deleted. Unfortunately, at the present time, the only way to flush this cashe is to restore your device as a new iPhone without using your backup. Perhaps this will change in a future iOS release. -

Yes, you can delete your account from settings > iCloud. Your data will be stored in your personal account (simply choose to delete all information from your iPad when prompted). Then make a new one (again, settings > iCloud) making an account for your class. When you are done in the classroom, delete the iCloud account again and login with your personal account When prompted, always delete the information.

iCloud complimentary storage plans expire tomorrow. Do we need separate iCloud accounts for iphone and laptop?
I'm thinking you had a Mac/Me.com account like I did that got transferred to iCloud. We were kinda grandfathered in to 25gig storage while the basic iCloud account storage is 5. As far as I know that storage plan is the only thing that expires tomorrow. You'll just be reverted back to the basic 5gig storage.
As far as anything else you don't need to have a different iCloud account, remember only one iCloud account can be used for the full suite of services on your phone but you could use a different one for iTunes and App store purchases if you wanted to. My wife and I share one account for those purchses on all our devices and computers but I do also use a separate iCloud account as my main one on my phone to keep our emails, messages, etc. separate. -
I need to change my iCloud account on both my iPhone and iPad (used to be a joint account and not in use anymore) but I cant remember the password to delete the iCloud account on either device OR the rescue email to reset password!!! While I can ask to reset the password I have no idea where the reset email is going!
If your current account ID is an updated version of this older ID, try the steps in this article in order to delete the existing account: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud. The last one (change your ID temporarily) will usually work.
If your current account ID is an entirely new ID that was never previously associated with the old email address, contact the Apple account security team for assistance changing the password for the old ID: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security. -

I recently upgraded to a windows 8 and have the latest itunes installed meaning I have access to icloud but I do not have the latest iOS so I can't set up an iCloud account. Is there a way I can do this through itunes or on my pc?

How do I set up a new iCloud account separate for my iphone and ipad?
I have an old iCloud account for my iphone and when I bought an ipad last year I used the same iCloud account. I now have no storage left and my iphone won't back up. I want to upgrade my iphone soon but don't want to lose all my photos, contacts, etc.
I have spent the last hour trying to create a new iCloud account so I have two separate ones for my iphone and iCloud, to no avail. Apple don't seem to have any information I submit and I am just going round in circles updating passwords! And re-enters new account details. I haven't received an email registering my new iCloud account.
Can anyone help! Can I create two iCloud accounts? Why can't i! Even though I am using two separate email addresses.If it's stuck on verifying it's because she never responded to the verification email that Apple should have sent to the primary email address she used for the Apple ID she set it up with. She should check her inbox and spam/junk folder for this email and click on the Verify Now link to verify the account. If the email isn't there, she can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under her Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
Or, you can just delete the account (which is a misnomer since until verified the account isn't really created). -
I should not have created a seperate icloud account for our second device
I have my sons ipod and my iphone on one icloud account. When my husband bought an iphone I created a seperate icloud account for his phone and now want to have all three devices on one account.
First, are there any issues with having all of us on one account?
Second, if I can proceed, how to do I change his account?Then sign in at settings > iCloud with seperate ID's for each user, if you are already signed in with an ID you don't want to to use, delete the account.
Use your own ID's for signing into settings > messages and settings > FaceTime (if you use them), but when it comes to signing in at settings > iTunes & App Stores use the same ID on all devices, use the one you have already made purchases from. -
