Ok I have an Iphone 5.
My husband installed IO.7.
(He's no help. He is a Pc user).
I do not know which number after that.
I bought a desktop 27.5.
I was told at the Apple store to go home and hook up my IPhone 5 to my desktop.
To connect to I tunes,plug in my phone to the back of my desktop, and to follow instructions.
I could not find any instructions anywhere in Itunes.
Then I happened on instructions in Safari.
Are you kidding me. I could not understand what to do. Except to go into my phone and click on to Icloud
backup in settings. But, as soon as I put the usb cord into the desktop, it took me away froom the site, and the words backup now!
I bought Apple because I realize, I have no technical experience!
HELP!!??
First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet. -
I cant seem to open some photos on Iphoto. I downloaded like 3 months ago from my phone into the iphoto. I could access ALL of my photos back then but when I try and access them now I cant seem to open the file. When i open iphoto and open the folder thats on it, i can see ALL the photos that are there but when I click on different ones some appear in the larger screen but A LOT of them dont appear. Iphoto seems to have erased the file or I dont know.
Also I tried clicking on the photo that doesnt appear and making it "Reveal it on finder" - "original file" and it says 'The operation can’t be completed because the item can’t be found.".
I really want those photos because they involve a really special family vacation, please help me find those photosA LOT of them dont appear.
What do you see in the window when you click on those? A blank, black window? An exclamation mark? What? -
I am trying to upload pictures from my phone to my computer and I'm getting an error message that a photo is corrupted so it can't download. I don't know how to tell which of the photos is corrupted so that I can delete it and try again? Thanks!
If this is an iCloud account the Outbox only appears when sending an email, so if it is still trying I suppose it should be showing now (not sure though, hard to replicate this)

This is often a feature of faulty battery. Try to Restore your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send your iPhone to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

Can't download pictures from my phone to my computer
A while back I had MacAfee installed and it gave me problems so I unistald it but it still continues to not let me downlaod or open any files. My problem today is that I tried to transfer my pictures from my camera to my PC and the PC tells me they can't find my device. I tried everything to find it and nothing seems to work. I have read your post on how you are not able to download any pictures from your phone to your computer. Are you able to transfer files to a different computer? I would be happy to help you, but first I would encourage you to post your product number for your computer. In addition, it will also help if you indicate which operating system you are using; and whether your operating system is 32 or 64 bit. The more information you can provide, the better!

After plugging my iPhone into my computer something happened to my phone that took seconds and now I cannot find my photos of my holiday. Where could they be and what was this that happened to my phone. I was not asked to do anything and nothing was said after it happened, it looked like an upgrade or a download not sure something ran across the the screen and that was that. I had approx 600 photos please help me.
1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

I need some help fast please!! i have had the iphone since august and have videos and pictures i need like 100% need, and today i downloaded music and plugged my phone into my computer. The phone synched and it did to the settings when the iphone 4 first came out last year, dating back to when i first had it on february 24th, 2011. I need to restore it back but everytime i try to do it through itunes it puts me back to the same settings, i hope someone knows how to fix this problem, i would greatly appreciate any help!!!!
Check here and see if you got an automatic backup when you pluuged into iTunes. (Fingers Crossed)
Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
If the recent backup is there, simply restore your phone from that backup. It sounds to me that instead of syncing the phone just by connecting it to the computer, you may have restored the phone to your ancient backup. No problem if you have the newer backup, but a huge problem if you don't have the recent backup.
If, in fact, you did restore the phone instead of getting a backup thru the (automatic) sync process, I'd strongly suggest getting the difference between the two straight in your mind.
My other suggestion would be to understand that your iPhone is "managed" thru iTunes. You need to connect the two whenever possible instead of using the charger. -
If I plugged my ipod into my computer and unplugged it to fast and only 25 songs synced onto the computer, then is there any way to get my lost 100 songs back?
Were these songs purchased from iTunes? If so,you can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

If your photos on your phone are saved on any sort of removable memory card, you can take that card, put it into your computer, then sync that folder with your iPad.
Alternatively, you can e-mail those photos to an account you can open on the iPad and save the photos from there.
I don't know if the Evo can sync with a computer, but if you get it onto a computer the use iTunes to sync it to the iPad.
Or if the evo has a removable microSD card, and you have the iPad camera connection kit you may be able to transfer the photos from the card onto the iPad. -
ITunes freezes when I plug my iPod into my computer but no one else's
Hi everyone,
Hopefully someone can help me out here. About a couple weeks ago (around the time the latest version of iTunes came out), my iPod (at the time I believe it was a 120GB iPod Classic. I've since replaced it with a 160GB iPod Classic.) would freeze up iTunes when I would plug it in (also if I open "Computer" in Windows Vista, that also freezes up).
I've tried everything almost everything I've been able to find when Googling the subject: Restoring the iPod one of the few occasions I CAN get my computer to read it. I've replaced the iPod (120GB iPod Classic) with a brand new one (160GB iPod Classic). I've run Check Disk on both my computer AND my iPod. I've cleared out the temporary files on my computer. I've made sure that I have all of my updates for both Windows and iTunes. I've run virus scans, disk defragments, etc. The only thing I haven't done is re-format the iPod but since this is a BRAND NEW iPod, I didn't think it would be necessary.
I also notice that when I bought my new iPod, it worked fine until I turned my computer off then turned it on the next day and I started running into the same problems again. Also, I've recently discovered that my iPod works fine on another computer so I'm thinking that my iPod isn't the problem.
I'm trying to be as specific as possible here but if anyone needs any more details to help me out here, I'd more than happy to let you know.

Why can't I import my pictures from my phone to my computer?
I took pictures of some items I would like to sell on ebay but I cannot upload them to my computer. When I plug the phone into the computer nothing happens.
two questions,
1.) What operating system?
2.) Have you tried searching for the mobile device on your computer? -
The screen on my iPhone has gone black while I was using it. It just "shut off". The phone is still working as I can hear/see it when it plugs into the computer, but the screen just wont turn on. I've tried the soft reset "holding down home and lock screen" and i've tried to restore settings. I went to the apple store and they said I had to send it to my provider (in another country) but my phone contract has run out.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there some way apple can replace the phone? It's less than 2 years old. Surely the screen shouldn't just give out like that.

The iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. If you sync to another it will erase the current content from the iphone and repalce with content from the new computer.

Connect your phone to your computer. Normally a window pops up (PC) that will allow you to transfer photos from your phone to a folder on your computer. If you're using a MAC iPhoto usually opens and gives you the option to sync.
