What are you trying to use as your payment method, credit card, debit card ... ? Debit cards don't appear to still be accepted in all countries, and even where they are it seems (based on what some people have posted) that not all work.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) and see if they know why it's being declined (but you might not be able to use a debit card) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management
Do you have a different card that you could try ? Or do you get the 'none' option on the payment details screen (that would allow you to download free items) ? Just bought a new replacement phone at the apple store and as soon as I got home, vertical lines came up through the screen and now it's extremely blurry. All the functions of the phone still work fine and I really can't see anything except a small part of the screen at the top. I called the apple store and he told me to put the phone in recovery mode on my computer and the restore and update it. I did this and I can tell the phone has restored yet it is still extremely blurry and I can't see anything to type it in. Is there anything I could do with this? The apple store is over an hour away and saving another trip down there would be great. Thanks

I have an iphone 5 and and ipad3 which I wish to sync.
I went to Apple store and tech unable to do this - wasn't happening and said there was an icloud problem and to go on line to find out, as they didn't do icloud issues in the store.
I've backed up my phone in the meantime.
I want to be able to read my kindle books and access contacts between these items.
Another question, I brought more icloud storage, but iphone is not saving to icloud as well.phone will not back up as says not enough storage - keh?

I have another appointment with Apple store end of this week.
Last time they also said I may need to have my iphone replaced - this would then be my thrid iphone in 4 months! First iphone the camera didn't work (lucky I found out on second day and automaticallly replaced).
This iphone is doing black screens, will not ring (despite techy trying to get phone to ring - YET the alarm works fine to wake me up). Phone vibrates but won't ring, even though set to ring.

Can I walk into an apple store and get my name engraved on the back of my ipad?
II'm using my ipad for school and I don't want it stolen. Is there anyway I could go to an apple shop and get my name engraved on the back of my ipad for a decent sum of money? I live in Ireland and bought the ipad in PC world
Having it engraved wont' stop it from being stolen. All it might do is make it easier to identify if it is.
The best way to work towards preventing theft is to be smart with your device. Don't ever leave it laying anywhere unattended....you're in the library, need to take a bathroom break, don't leave it on the table, put it in it's case/bag and take it with you or leave it in the custody of a friend.
Be aware that it is a target for thieves and treat it accordingly. Treat it like you'd treat your purse or wallet. -
I am rebuilding my iTunes library, but still have all the old content on my iPod Classic. I have just download some songs from the iStore and want to add them to the iPod, BUT when I try to sync it asks if I want to delete all content from the iPod and add only the material that I have just downloaded from the Store. I do not want to lose my old content, because it is very extensive.
You are trying to sync to other than the one iTunes library you can sync to. You can copy music from multiple library/computer if you use the manual method of syncing. That method is described here

If you want to make this computer/iTunes library your syncing computer/library you have to restore the iPod on this computer/library. Restoring erases the iPod.

more than likely it is your video card. If it is ATI 2600XT, tell it bye-bye. The card is barely used at all in TDM or Safe Boot Mode. The 2600 and Lion and the issues with that card, even if it seems okay, is not.
Depending on Windows OS as to how it mounts and sees your Lion HFSX (there is a nice HFSX driver from Paragon, and an NTFS driver for Lion too)
480GB SSD is overkill for any system unless you are pushing CS6 2-3GB images and then for scratch. All you need for a boot drive is about 100GB.
If you have an SSD now, then 1) you need to do a full image backup and restore (regularly as maintenance), and 2) TRIM Enabler
Save Lion and you can always do a clean Lion install w/o going back to SL - but you might want to keep SL (dual boot) and handy if you run into anything you still need that required PowerPC/Rosetta
FBDIMM RAM dies, Amazon has $32 kits of 4GB. And having all 8 DIMM slots filled improves things. If you need or want to and feel 16GB isn't overkill.
SSD and issues are always possible. you should not just go along. not without a clone image. And you should have another drive w/ TRIM Enabler so that you can do a repair and "trim" what is needed.
Clone a system with CCC regularly. Bootable. And can also be used by Setup Assistant.
Install Lion over a heavily used SL system and there are likely remnants of old things that get in the way and left in there and not removed. -
How much is the G5 worth? The one from 2005.
The Apple Store will offer to recycle it for free, you are better off selling it on ebay or elsewhere, I have seen decent looking ones go from $80-$250 here in Australia.
You are looking at $1000 + to get a new one -
Lost music bought from i tunes store and want them back
over the last couple of months i have paid for over 200 quids worth of music mainly a few films but iv managed to loose all the purchased items evan wiv time machine (so time machine is bollox) now when i go to download the same tracks again i have to f'in buy them again now what can i do about that...?
Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your content was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you have your tracks on an iPod or have them backed up, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it. -

I just got an iphone5. My computer itunes recognizes the iphone when connected, but will not sync. I have been to the Apple genius bar and they have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes several times and did everything they could think of, but still it would not sync. I have an ipad2 that syncs with no problem. So they told me to go get some computer help elsewhere...blamed it on Windows? Thanks!
You can poke around in the settings. There's a lot of stuff defaulted to on that you may not need. Such as notifications. Background app update, background app update. Try turning those off and see if that helps.
