HT1766 I Pad says icloud has not been backed up.... but I cant unlock it to do that
My Mini Ipad says Icloud has not been backed up for two weeks, It then displays OK on the bottom of message but nothing happens also it says slide to open at the bottom and I can't open it now.
A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

My ipad has a screen up that says icloud has not been backed up and it will not let me do anything
My iPad has a screen up that says icloud has not been backed up in a while. I can not get that screen to close or turn off my iPad. What do I do?
Do you mean it says,
"This iPad has not been backed up in 2 weeks.
Back up now?"
Did you try the home button? -
i am not able access my ipad as it says that the icloud has not been backed up. it also does not accept when i click ok.
Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
When it's rebooted you can force a backup via Settings > iCloud -
Just got on my Ipad and it says it has not been backed up for 4 weeks. It will not let me turn it off, unlock it, and when I press OK it does nothing.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My Ipad is locked. iCloud backup states it has not been backed up for 9 weeks and now I cannot open my iPad.
Reset it by holding the power and home buttons until you see the Apple logo, then release.

My ipad has locked me out. It says ipad hasnt been backed up. Needs to be plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi. It won't let me do anything. How do I fix it?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

How do I back up iPad? I do turn off completely daily.
As long as you keep it turned on, then yes it is on. What I meant is that it must be connected to a WiFi network as well as WiFi being turned on.
You can have WiFi turned on in the settings, but that doesn't mean that you are connected to a network. When you are at home, you would be connected to your home WiFi network. If you try again tonight - or whenever you plug your iPad into recharge, just don't power the iPad off. Leave it turned on and the backups should occur automatically.
But let me also say that you so have to have this enabled properly in the settings. Settings> iCloud> Storage & Backup> iCloud Backup> On. Make sure you have the iPad set up for automatic backups. -
..
Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected. -

I recently got the new iPhone 5c I used icloud to back everything up from my 4s to my new 5c. Now, I keep getting a pop up that says Continue Restoring? (This iPhone has not been backed uprecently because it has not finished being restored. Would you like to finish downloading any remaining purchases and media before backing up, or delete them along with any app date?)
I seleted to finish downloading because I didn't want to lose anything. It still will not finish downloading and I have tried this several times.
What do I need to do to that I can get my iphone to back up and so that I can install the new iOS?Hello there, Brandifoote24.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up an explanation of what you're error signifies:
iCloud: Understanding Backup alert messages
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4576
"This iPhone has not been backed up recently because it has not finished being restored. Would you like to finish downloading any remaining purchases and media before backing up, or delete them along with any app data?"
This message is displayed if your iOS device has been trying to complete a restore for more than three days. This can occur if your restore has been interrupted due to network connectivity issues or some other problem occurs.
Being that this is the case, you would want to go back to the article it seems you were referred to us from and try to restore from your icloud backup again:
iCloud: Troubleshooting restoring an iCloud backup

How do I restore an iCloud backup if my device is already set up for use?
You'll need to erase all data and settings from your device, so first confirm that you have an iCloud backup to restore:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, then tap the name of your device to view a list of iCloud backups.
Check the date of the backup you want to restore, because you'll be restoring only what iCloud backed up on that date.
After confirming that an iCloud backup is available, follow these steps:
Connect your device to a power source and make sure that it is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
Follow the instructions for restoring your iOS device from an iCloud backup, which include making sure that your device is using the latest version of iOS.
If the issue persists, then I would troubleshoot Wi-Fi using the following article:

Try restarting the phone and trying again.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again. -
I keep getting a MSG that my device has not been backed up. Going thru manage iCloud I see ther are two backs (one for cell and iPad). They both say "incomplete ". If I delete them cloud backups will stop and I assume I will need to go back to the control.
Has anyone else experienced this? After deleting the backups, go back to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure iCloud Backup is set to On (if not, turn it on).
