I have a icloud back up message on my ipad, and it does not disappear when I hit OK, this is preventing me from using the touch screen , is locking the whole screen except the message area. How can I get rid of the message and using my ipad

With Okay under this message. We plugged it and connected to WI-FI. I'm assuming its looked, because when I try to press Okay nothing happens. This message is just frozen on the screen.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

My iPod just announced it hasn't been backed up by iCloud in 7 week. The WiFi is turned off and I can't click this message away. Pressing OK would not work. Because I can't get rid of this icon, I cannot go back in the menu or switch my iPod off or use anything else. Any ideas how I can get rid of this message and go back to the menu to actually use my iPod again?

Have you tried resetting your iDevice?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Press and hold the power and home buttons until the device shuts down. After a short while the apple will appear and the device will boot up. Things should work then.

As long as you charge it connected to wifi overnight it will backup itself, or you can click backup now button in settings- icloud- storage and backup.

Sorry, if you deleted your iCloud backup, its gone...there's no way to get it back. If you still have your phone, you can create another backup. If you no longer have the phone, then your data is gone.

My problem is, is that I have backed it up, but am unable to remove the message, and whilst the message is there, the iPad is frozen, and I cannot do anything.
Has any other user had such a problem, and if so, how did they rectify it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up

Thanks to everyone who responded and related subject helped. Holding the home button and power button simultaneously for 10-15 seconds does unlock the screen. I can now use my ipad again. However, a futher problem has arisen since updating to IOS6 and activating icloud at same time, Although not sure if its related. The problem is that when connected to my PC the itunes message appears 'Cannot read ipad'. It instructs you to restore but keeps timing out after about 1 hour. This maybe internet issue but can't understand why itunes cannot read my ipad. May need to completely erase all content & reset. Or any other suggestions why this has happened?

How do I get back to email summary screen from a message

I can't get out of the edit mode in my messages. I can not get back to a message summary screen no matter what I do. The options across the bottom of the screen are reply, trash, folder, flag and reply.
Only since iOS 6 upgrade

On the top it doesnt say ALL Inboxes or iCloud or whatever mail box your in?
If not, close the app, double click the home button, swipe over and kill the Mail App..Then open mail app again.

My imessage will only open to my latest message and won't show previous conversations. Every time I hit message to go back and view previous conversations it just goes back to my home screen.

I suspect you have a received a hack message via iMessage. I have been receiving this type of message for the past week. Once this hack message hit my phone, I will not be able to open the Message app again or it will go back to the home screen as soon as I open the app. You can still open existing conversation by going into 'Contact' and then try send a message to a contact with an existing conversation. Any attempt to start a new conversation via Contact will close the app and return to the Home screen.
So far my only way to deal with this is to turn off iMessage and survive on SMS text until Apple comes up with a fix to block this type of hack.

But I don't uese Wi-Fi, I use the internet 3g.

HT4847 I'm trying to delete (my stolen) iPhone 4s from my iCloud back up listing. But when i try although both the stolen and my new phone are listed if i try to delete the old one it comes up with a message 'cannot delete backup at this time'

When i try to delete my stolen 4s from the icloud back u list i get a message saying 'ths cannot be deleted at this time' . This is taking up 2.2gb of space. How can i delete the device? I have unregistered the device and sent a remote wipe message to the phone.

I did get rid of a few after I set the iphone to not show music which was in the cloud but I still have 2 albums that won't go away. Any more suggestions? Thanks for your help.
