Well, as normal, after posting I figured out my problem. My storage on the 5c was full. I had to go into Podcasts and delete old podcasts and free up the space. If you are getting the message your iCloud is not big enough then buy more storage in iCloud. That should solve your problem. I still think the 5c is a POS but I may be influenced due to the fact that I want a 5s. Cheap company I work for.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. When streaming movies from itunes, I get an error that there is not enough storage

I stream a movie for my kids and the ipad says that there is not enough storage available. I can stream from Vudu and Netflix with no issues. When I started streaming from itunes, I cannot due to this error.
Still learning iOS, any help would be greatly appreciated!

The message is quite clear. The size of the iTunes library is larger than the space available on the device.
Stop attempting to sync the entire library to the device.
Select the desired content to sync to the device.
Sync.

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

Well you only get 5gb for free if you backup there and use more then 5gb on your ios device you have 3 options
Delete data so you never use more then 5gb
Buy more stoarage space
Dont backup to icloud

My main hard drive only has a few hundred Mb left on it so i bought a 1 Tb external hard drive and want to know how to make iDVD use the space on the external hard drive instead trying to use the main hard drive. Yes - This is important.
Free Space - Must be on the Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk and can not be used on any other.
My safe level is a minimum of 25Gb free space - to let iDVD and Mac OS run OK.
This is due to that Mac OS X is in reality UNIX and there by needs lot's of temporary space for temp. files and so does the application iDVD. And this can not be addressed elsewhere.
So to free up space - one thing is to move iMovie Events to an external hard disk BUT THIS MUST BE DONE Right Else all can be lost ! !
• Never move or adjust any folders Named - iMovie Events or iMovie Projects - on Desktop/Finder - links will breake and can be hard to impossibly to heal. ALL movings must be done within iMovie Application (it goes for iMovie'08 to 11)
• External Hard Disk - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange will NOT WORK FOR VIDEO - nearly everything else BUT NOT VIDEO.

Why does my iPhone 5 keep saying "cannot download" "There is not enough storage to download 'Facebook'. (Btw, I already have fb on my iphone 5, just trying to update it). You can manage your storage in Settings... Well, in settings, I have plenty of storage left that I bought... called iCloud! What's up with this piece of $500 junk I bought from apple, that it won't allow me to record memorable moments in my life!!! Should I go back to android, which lets me record hours of video/audio/pictures, without ever "CHARGING ME EXTRA", never even a dime!!! What a waste of time, energy, resources, etc. I miss Steve Jobs... He wouldn't have screwed his customers over like this!

Go to Settings>General>Usage and see how much available local storage you have available. You can also see what apps are taking up the most room.
You say that you paid for more iCloud storage. That's for back ups. You can't download apps to it or steam media from it. In order to take pictures you have to have space on the phone itself.

Anyways, I cleared more space by simply deleting videos on my iPhone.
It appears that there are definitely cases where the iPhone requires MORE than 2x the amount of space the app takes up in order to install the app.
It would be useful if Apple could make this requirement a bit clearer.

I didn't confuse it with my iCloud storage. I'm talking specifically about the storage ON my iPhone.
When syncing the diagram on the bottom of the page (you know the coloured one that gives you Audio, Photos, Apps...) shows me that I have more than 20GB of remaining space.
And I'm trying to get audio on it which is definitely LESS than 20 GB. So it should fit.
But it still gives me the error message that the data I'm trying to sync to my phone is too large

1600 songs... it depends the individual size of each track. Not all tracks take up the same storage space.
If you want to have all 1600 tracks on one iPod, you need a larger iPod.

The GB size of the download file is the compressed size (like .zip or .dmg). When the file is installed/uncompressed it can be 2-3 times larger.
You need to delete some files and not run with an almost full storage.
How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.
