HT1766 The camera on my Iphone 5 locks everytime I press to do a selfie
Does anyone know if its easy to fix a broken camera? When you reverse the camera to do a selfie it looks the camera..
The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

Because your computer sees your phone, as it would see any digital camera, as long as you have photos in your camera role. Since you state you don't sync with this computer & have a passcode on your phone, that's why you get that message. The only way to prevent that message is either start syncing with this computer; remove the photos from your camera roll prior to connecting; or first turn off your passcode before you connect. Either that, or you live with it.
You shouldn't be storing photos in your camera roll anyway. iPhone camera roll is not designed for photo storage. You should be regularly importing them. -
Having just updated to the latest system 6.0 (10A403) Everytime when I connect my Iphone to my Mac and open iphoto with the phone connected, a warning window keeps popping up. Showing "Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone 4S" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode."
But it is not locked. The rest of the synch in iTunes seems to work fine but iPhoto says that there are no photos for importing, when thjere are many. Any assistance most appreciated. thanksReenable the password and then disable it. The message should no longer appear.

The camera on my iPhon 4s is not working correctly. It is colored all strange and the shutter keeps opening and closing trying to fix the problem but it cant. I have already reset my phone and turned it off and on again. How do I fix this??
If resetting the camera app doesn't work you can try restoring your iPhone's software. The entire process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure you do a backup. Make sure you do a backup.

Hi I am on an iphone 5 IOS7 and when I look at the 'Silence' setting at the bottom of the Don Not Disturb' screen - then even though all of the settings on that screen are off i.e. not green - the 'Silence' -'Only when iPhone is locked' setting is tickedP
Chris thanks for your reply, if none of the Do Not Disturb settings are switched on - then am I right that this setting will have no effect. I.e. I want my phone to ring at all times, so have turned off all of the do not disturb settings

I have problems when using the camera on my iPhone 4S (the same for my daughter with a iPhone4)
A veil around the blurred photo, a development impossible and completely unable to read the bar code or QR code. What to do?Sounds kind of stupid, but check to make sure that your iphone case cover is not blocking the edge of the camera lens. I had a silicone case on my 3S and when it got older, it started tot slip and the edges of my pictures were blurred.

Why won't the camera on my iPhone open?
So whenever I try to open the camera app on my iPhone my phone screen restarts with a white page with the apple in the middle of it. The camera just won't open at all. When I use snapchat I can only take pictures from the front of the phone and not the camera in the back of the phone. In fact, snapchat won't even let me flip the camera around to use the camera on the back.

You see a closed lens or black screen
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping (camera swap icon). If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

At times the camera on my Iphone gets struck and returns to a grey colored screen.. does this indicate any problem with the phone.. and are thr any chances for virus getting into the phone..

I want to remove the message that pops up every time i connect my IPhone that says: "Photos in the Camera Roll of "Name" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.".
This computer is not one that I want to import photos to (or sync with the iPhone), so this message is just very annoying, and it pops up all the time. I cannot find a way to disable this message. It is constantly appearing. No application is launching, I have turned off the iPhoto launch in the Image Capture app as well as in iPhoto. Can I hide camera function when iphone is locked?
After the update IOS% i know have the camera available even when iphone is locked. How do I remove/hide it from locked screen?
I've owned every iPhone model since the original and have never needed to passcode lock my phone. Not worried about it after all these years. I'm the only one who has ever used it and I don't leave it lying around anywhere. It stays in my pocket when not being used.

The camera screen turning black and locking up.
I see a lot of people having issues with the camera screen turning black and having to restart phone to fix it. I have the 6 plus and the screen turns black and locks when taking a second picture on the txt screen. I have replaced the phone and the new one does the same thing. I went to the Verizon store and they just scratched their heads. I have reset the old phone 3 times and restored from my back up which did not help. I put my sim card in new phone and restored it and it had the same problem. I thought my back up was the problem so I restored the new phone to new again without using my backup and it worked. After a few hours of turning off and on every setting I use and many many many factory resets I found the problem. Whenever the option for "speak screen" is turned on it causes the camera software to glitch and freeze after one picture is taken. I have verified it on 3 different Iphone 6 Plus.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
