HT1777 Can I use this in Lion, and how?

I'm not seeing a disc show up in the sidebar of my mac mini running Lion 7.3 after enabling CD and DVD sharing on my Macbook Pro (running snow leopard 6.8)

Thanks for trying Kappy, but display preferences were not relevant (though did help me make Lion behave more like Snow Leopard, so now I can have the same level of access that I enjoyed before).
However, I did find a solution myself just now. I enabled BOTH the "Share CD or DVD"  AND the "Share Files" options on my MBP, and suddenly the Lion mac is able to connect, and I can access the DVD drive.
To others who find this article after me, I used my computer that would host the disc drive, went to System Preferences/Sharing, clicked the checkbox for both the "Share CD or DVD"  AND the "Share Files" options, went to my computer I wanted to share the disc drive with, opened a finder window, saw host computer in the sidebar, connected to it as myself (the user login name and password), then I had access to my user files and the disc in the disc drive. Good Luck!

    Hi Venkat,
Please ask this question in routing/switching forum. As far as i know you can only configure pa-mc-8te1 as E1 or T1 ports. For more details please visit the below link.

  • Dummy PI serviceinterfaces can be used in BPM scenarios and how?

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where SAP ECC(Async system) is sending the file to HSM tool(sync system) through PI and sends the response from HSM tool to bank system(Async system) through PI. Entire flow is the passthrough interface.
Firstly we thought of developing the Adapter module to send the received HSM response to bank and it's very complex to implement. We are planning to implement the BPM here.
But the question is how we can use the dummy interfaces in BPM. Is it possible to implement in such a way.
    Suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Jaya

    Hi Jaya,
I suppose with dummy interfaces you mean interfaces where the content that "flows through it" at runtime does not match the definition in ESR, Messages of that type are supported by ccBPM in PI Double Stack through an implementation detail - as long as you do not access the payload through XPaths, you can route messages through an integration process. So if you are asking for an answer for ccBPM, then the approach is to just define a dummy interface (data structure does not matter, a very simple one suffices), but do not define any XPath-accesses in the process definition (no condition expressions, no correlations). You can use all step types that work on complete messages, like receive, send or transformation steps or container operations appending messages to lists.
If you are talking about NW BPM as part of NW Process Orchestration 7.31 / 7.4, then you need to apply other concepts, such as using Claim Check pattern. Refer to https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/7f/984c062f3a4579b97602e48fd17cc8/content.htm?frameset=/de/b5/0a32b8ef0545…

    Hi,
in fact my price values were not so small - 2.15, 1.55, 2.45, etc... but nothing less than 1.00. Nevertheless, you pointed me to the right direction - to search OSS for the answer. OSS Note 571860:
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=571860
helps me to find out what I missed in my scenario: I didn't set ITEM-NET_PRICE at all, just via condition table. Now, when I added the following:
    item-net_price = some_price. itemx-net_price = 'X'.
    item-po_price = '2'. itemx-po_price = 'X'.   " <-- in fact, PO is created even without this line
all of my POs are created with correct prices from the input.
    Problem solved.
    Thanks!
    Ivaylo

  • Can i use this download and install on multiple computers?

Can i use this download and install on multiple computers?

I assume you're talking about the Lion installer?  If so, yes, you're allowed to use it on any machines authorized with your Apple ID (which I believe means a maximum of five machines).  This is, of course, meant for family use...  I'm not sure about business use, but I'd suspect you need one copy per machine at a business.  If you're in that situation, you may want to wait for the $69 Lion flash drive Apple will be releasing next month sometime, as that won't be tied to an Apple ID.  But check with Apple to be sure on that.

You can't install Lion over Leopard. To install Lion, a requirement is Snow Leopard. So you can either upgrade to Snow Leopard first or you can make a bootable Lion install disc and use that to wipe your hard drive and install a fresh copy of Lion.
So to make a disk would require you to purchase Snow Leopard and upgrade to 10.6.8 so you can use the App Store, unless you have access to another computer to download it from with your Apple ID. Remember it is about a 3.4GB download.
    Good Luck

You're probably on OS X Lion?
I had the same problem as you. I used Software Update to update Logic Express to the latest version, and then it ran without any problems.

Local Mac shop said to hold down "c" after inserting disk to get "disk utility" to come up in order to wipe hard drive.  I can't seem to get it to do this.

This W7 was purchased for using Fusion, as others did - per reviews from amazon.  The technician today called their contact at VMWare - Fusion not officially for use with Lion - even though I read at the VMWare support site that others have made it work.  Apparently my setup doesn't work.
Do you know how to do the proceedure for bringing up the disk utility when starting the disk?
BTW, some of the windows applications I want to continue using are Incredimail, Calendarscope, Stamps.com and a few others I have used over many years.  What do you use for email and calendar?
Wow, sounds like another reason to not use MS Windows.
Regarding your Disk Utility question, please elablorate I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Disk Utilty is just that...a utility, it's something most users never have to use especially on a new computer. Let me know what you're trying to do there before I give you some instructions.
As for as your Windows apps I would recommend using Mail and iCal, both come as part of OS X and are very robust tools. Don't discount the software built right into OS X it's very robust and powerful not all like the bloatware most Windows boxes ship with. Stamps.com well I'd look for another alternative. It's clear they don't support OS X which makes me a little suspicious that they're so behind the times.
Also if you have not been exposed to these links before I'd strongly recommend bookmarking them and using them. They're extermely useful!

  • HT1338 Yesterday, I purchased Mountain Lion OSX and tried to download it but I don't think it worked.  How can I tell if I am using Mountain Lion and how do I get help if the download was unsuccessful?

Yesterday, I purchased Mountain Lion OSX and tried to download it but I don't think the download worked.  How can I tell if I am using Mountain Lion and how do I get help if the download was unsuccessful?

Click your Apple menu icon top left corner of your screen.
From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
If Mountain Lion is installed, it will say:  v10.8
If not, launch the App Store. From the App Store menu bar click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads
FYI ..  for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation.
