Make sure data roaming and cellular data is turned off. If you don't want to receive calls or SMS then put your phone in airplane mode and reactivate WiFi

maybe you can control the room temperature.... i try to charge iPod shuffle beside the mini fan, so heat from shuffle can blown away... or maybe, you can charge the iPod in Air Conditioned room....
i think this device have a mechanism to cut off the charging process if device temperature too hot. such a safety system so this ipod won't burn out when overcharging.

I am going out of the country tomorrow and was wondering if I turn off roaming will it work or will I be getting a nice big phone bill ? I have heard of some people getting charged with a lot and others turn airplay mode on but don't recieve messages when they are connected to wifi or when they turn airplay mode off. Help please ?

I am confused about messaging. Shouldn't I be able to send and receive messages with cellular data off and without wifi? I can send the message but often do not receive messages from others, iPhone or other, until I turn on cellular or wifi.
Depends on the type of Message.
SMS messages will send and receive with data off. and while you can guarantee you send using SMS you cannot guarantee that whoever replies to you does also. They may be replying thorugh iMessage if they are using iPhones.
However Android should be sending through SMS.
You can turn off iMessage if you want to, though people with limtied SMS text messaging in their plans may not appreciate it, and stop messaging you. -

Logically, because unlike you I do not keep my cellular data on at all times as I do not have an unlimited data plan. I only turn on cellular data when I am on the go and I do not have access to a wifi network. Therefore my need for a button in control center that turns on cellular data. And this would be very usefull to other iPhone users outside the US and Canada, where unlimited cellular data plans are not so affordable.

I have a Samsung SIII and will be traveling out of the country. Do I need to get a micro SIM card instaslled for international ? I was told Verizon has them free for customers but that it needs to be "sert up". Also, are there alternatives to going through the verizon data plan (which is very expensive.
ThanksYour phone already has a micro SIM card in the device so it can connect to the VZW network. You will need an international plan from VZW if you intend to use that SIM card. Otherwise you can get a new SIM card from the local carrier and setup the phone for global use with a separate APN with that carrier's specific information.

If you are saying that you only have celllular service, you will need an adapter like the example shown below to be able to connect an AirPort Extreme.

I paid early termination fee two months ago to Verizon and am now out of the country. Am trying to unlock the phone but the local guys say they are not able to. I see from the blog here that iPhone 5 comes unlocked. Is it true?? Do I still have to unlock. How do I go about it?

Just need an active local SIM card that is compatible with your iPhone. Your local provider
may need to configure some settings under Cellular, but it should pick up signal. Just in
case, make sure that Settings>Cellular>Roaming>Voice & Data are
active.

I did followed your advice immediately and erased all the service number as well as S/Ns.
Can you, however, give me any "direct number" through which I can get hold of someone and request for what you're suggesting?
I believe I had talked with the person by the name of "Charlie" (I think... I hope I'm correct...) when I was having the same problem with the last device. He was very kind and helpful, though I ended up getting the device that brought the same problem.
Charlie told me that if I had any more problems I should call him. But I forgot to take down his direct number.
Or maybe I should call the main office and ask for him. But my memory is questionable as to his name, and besides I don't even know his last name either. There could be more than one "Charlies" in Palm.
So, if you could somehow email me some direct number (other than the one that keeps on hooking me up with those people in the overseas who are answering the phone only to sympathize with & apologize to me but can only issue a false hope with the SRO#. More than once I was given the promise that the supervisor would call me back within an hour or two but I ended up calling back after I had been left hanging in the air all night long.) where I can talk to someone like I did with Charlie last time who can truly carry out the promise, I would truly appreciate it, patkosanke. ^^

Apple deleted my account when I made a complaint about being charged for apps that I did not order. They said that my account had been compromised and it was in my best interests to delete it for security reasons! I am convinced the operator deleted my account out of sheer malice because I complained - can anyone advise?
No. It would have been done for security reasons. You notified them that money was being unknowingly taken from your account, so they froze it.
Change your Apple ID here
And also check for unusual activity on your credit card with your bank. Change all your security password while you are at it.

I recently thought I lost my iPhone and I erased it but now that I found it. I cannot get the this iPhone message is lost please call ********* I am out of the country my laptop is at home. I signed on icloud and removed it from the account and nothing. Please help!
If you removed the device from your iCloud account rather than using the "Stop Lost Mode" option, then you will most certainly need to restore the iPhone, and that will require a computer running iTunes.

When texting with other iphone users, the text used to be in a blue bubble. Now it's green. What happened? Am I being charged for these text messages now? I'm with Verizon if that matters.

I updated itunes, shut the phone off and on, it still didn't give me blue bubbles. Kept following the suggestions on the page ... I didn't know there was an IMessaging switch, but, shoot, it was OFF. Anyway, I toggled it on and now the text bubbles are blue again. -

If you take a computer with you, you have to store that file in the same location.
It's not different from taking documents with you if you want to edit them.
A solution is to remotely control your computer at home.

How can I view the iMessages that were sent to me while I was out of the country? They never loaded, but people have told me that they sent me many iMessages while I was gone.
I figured they would load when I turned on my cellular data, but only my text messages loaded. I would like to see the iMessages I missed because I believe some of them were fairly important.
I would really appreciate somebody's help!As far as I understand with this, iMessage works the same as regular txts.The iMessages are held on the messaging server for 72hrs if it's not picked up by then it expires. So those that you didn't get you will never get. Sorry.
