Not if you rented and downloaded it on your iPad, you can only watch it on that - from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1657 :
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

just some notes in addition to Ralphs answer: Your iPad is very useful to browse and show off your photos, i.e. the Retina iPad. You can sync to the iPad via iTunes or using the Photo Stream or a shared Photo Stream. But if you can browse and store all your photos on the iPad, will depend on the available storage on your iPad. Using iTunes you can sync events, albums, faces stacks, places stacks to your iPad. Not many metadata tags will transfer however.

So, the article you have there, HT4895, is pretty good. Just look at the FAQ section of it.
But basically, you will want to create a backup on your computer through iTunes...Just plug your current iPad into it and make sure your iPad and iTunes are logged in with the same Apple ID. At that point, just create a backup.
When you get your new iPad, and before you plug it in or set it up, follow the directions in this link to change your Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621?viewlocale=en_US
Once you have that done, plug your new iPad into your computer to sync up with iTunes. Follow the directions for Restore from Backup and it should bring all that info back to your new iPad.
And changing your Apple ID email info will allow you to have your own!!! This should solve all your issues and GL!!! -

I rented a movie called "Holes" from iTunes. I paid for it with my iTunes gift card. It took a long time to download the movie, so I went and took a nap. I woke up and tried to play the film and it will not show. It doesn't even show I purchased it nor does it show it's available to rent. The balance on my gift card shows the movie was paid for. Thank you.They may be purchased unlocked at full price. But whether you can use them in Brazil depends on whether you have GSM service there.
Note that if you buy in the US then any warranty work will require you to bring the device to the US for service. The US warranty is only good in the US, not in Brazil. You would be better off buying it in Brazil which will also save you duty and import taxes plus US sales tax. -
I just set up the airport wireless modem - with a comcast internet router - all wireless device connect seemlessly (3 Iphones, Mac Air, and a Sony Laptop) but my IPAD 1 no longer connects. It tries to but never connects. I have reset it and have airprot utility app downloaded on my IPAD - it shows the modem and the internet no connected?

I assume that you've copied everything off it that you want ?
You don't need to use your computer (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar that used to appear via control-S, that may make it easier to navigate). On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > Store and log out of your account, and then do Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings to remove all your content from it.
For future info typing all in capitals is considered shouting, make the post difficult to read, and may mean that people don't reply. -
My wife has a new Ipad and Iphone with icloud. We also have a Imac that has not been upgraded yet that is somehow syncing with her ipad and screwing up the apps. Is there anyway to prevent this. Maybe it is thru mobilme?
I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information. -
Hi, My ipad has been stolen and I set up the erase data function in i cloud "find my device". I then changed my mind and wanted to change this to locate my device rather. When I deleted the "erase" option it removed my ipad from the find my device list. Can I restore it back onto the list?
Once a wipe is sent, it cannot be stopped. You will not be able to track your iPad after that.

The first thing you want to check is icloud.com to see if your calendars are there. If not you will need to recover from a back up. More than likely our iPad was baking up to iCloud if you turned on the Back up feature, so you would want to go to settings, then iCloud and click on storage and back up to check there to see when your iPad last backed up to iCloud if it did at all.
