Frustrated-how do i reconnect my 4s phone to my new computer?

I did this procedure tonight:

All went well.
I did everything using my device. So my next question is:
How do I move my wife's ipod nano from the old computer to the new one?
We used the same library.
What is de-authorize?
Since we use the same library: Can I simply remove her's from the old, and then plug it into the new?
Or, since I moved the library over, did her's automatically come with it?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

When my iBook got hot like that, I would take a break and let it cool down.
You can buy laptop desks that have USB powered fans on them, such as the Targus Chill Mat.

Software updates do not install because "restart" fails. Powered off then on and still will not complete the updates. What can I try?

Recently noticed software updates were not occuring. "Restart" will not complete and tried just powering off and all but still no luck. Not real savy on troubleshooting so need some step by step advise.

I Purchased the cd for Photoshop about 4 years ago and my computer has crashed and I can no longer use it, it is possible to open up one more down load for the new computer I have?

I just downloaded both files. Here's how it went.
1. I clicked on "File 1 of 2"
2. Windows Explorer opened so I could pick a destination folder
3. I clicked "Save" and the download began
4. Then I did the same for "File 2 of 2"
This is what the files look like in Windows Explorer
The next step would be to double-click the exe file and proceed from there.

I had a computer crash so I couldn't import the bookmarks I used to my new computer.

However, I have found the bokkmarks folder intact. I it possible to import/copy it into Firefox so I can use it like I am used to?

Oh, you mean the Internet Explorer Favorites Folder (Firefox doesn't use that folder). What you can do is this. Copy and paste the contents of that folder into the Favorites folder on your new computer. Then, open Firefox, click on the Orange Firefox button, then click on bookmarks. Underneath "Import and Backup" click "Import Data from Another Browser". Follow the wizard to import from Internet Explorer. That will bring those bookmarks into Firefox. However, any bookmarks that you had only in Firefox (those not in IE) won't be saved if you don't have the firefox bookmark files. :(

You can give this a shot to correct the permissions on your computer. I know you have Windows 8, the Windows 7 will still get you in the right place.

ughhh!

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

If you made a copy of your entire iTunes library, the last section of this knowledge base article should explain how to restore it, if not, could you tell me what form your backup is in, in the sense of what folders you managed to copy from your old computer?
