HT1848 My itunes windows look different. Where is the new version support? Anyone?
How do I transfer purchases from my ipod touch in the new version of itunes? Support I can find looks different from the itunes pages I see.
You can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. To transfer purchases from the iPod you can then either right-click the iPod device on that sidebar and select 'transfer purchases', or do it via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (on a PC doing alt-F should open the File drop-down menu).

Hello everybody, Im trying to update my ITunes on my MAC (laptop) to the newer version so I can then be able to update the latest updates for my Iphone-3G. I don’t require a complete reinstall just need to be able to update my itunes.
What I have tried so far is I had my MAC search for update’s and it said that I should update to (ITunes version 10 . 6 . 3 ) So I asked it to do the update but after 2hrs of waiting for it to download/update it then puts up a message saying the following- (In order to continue installation, please close the following application: ITunes).
When I tried to do this another message comes up that says- (The update ITunes can’t be installed. The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple mobile device support. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
I have also tried to run the update while having closed ITunes before I even start the update but the same problem happens after waiting about 2hrs.
Some one that had the same problem said this might be happening in the older operating systems. But that does not make sense because surely Apple want customers who own a MAC and i-phone to still buy from iTunes.
My MAC is about 4-5years old. I have a i-phone.3G,

Tracks from the iTunes Store come in AAC format, which Windows Media Player does not support until, I believe WMP12. If you can't upgrade to WPM12, you'll probably have to convert the tracks to a format WMP does support. See:

I just updated my iTunes on 12-7-2012 and I do not like the newer version.....can I go back to the earlier version?? This new version does not have the iTunes DJ nor does is show at the bottom as in the earlier version how many songs and the size of my library.
To do this in iMovie 11. use the SHARE menu. Share your project using the Share menu and choose Export Using QuickTime.
In the Dialog box that comes up, choose Sound to AIFF, or one of the other sound options. This will create a file that you can drag into iTubes. -
I am using an older windows computer with Windows XP and iTunes 11.0.5.5. Since upgrading my iPhone and iPad my system will not allow me to connect the devices to my iTunes -- it notes I need to upgrade to iTunes 11.5. However using automatic updates or manual update I can not update iTunes -- I get an error message the older windows iTunes could not be removed. I can not remove iTunes using control panel -- an older install/uninstall file is evidently missing. All of my music is contained on my PC -- more music is on my PC than I store on my other devices and I don't want to loose those music files nor permission to access those music files. Does anyone have a solution to uninstalling and upgrading windows iTunes without losing my music. I would like to be able to connect my iPhone and iPad to my PC again. RS

Why is the new itunes so complicated to use, it used to be so easy to use, i have spent a fortune on music with itunes, if this version is here to stay then i am going to be buying my music else where and ditching Itunes

When I moved to Numbers 3, I found that my Numbers 2 templates were still in File > New from Template Chooser > My Templates with the original row height intact
And my default (Small w Header Row and Column) template opens with the "old" row height.

Where to find a newer version of that document?There doesn't seem to be one for iPad yet. There is an iOS 6 guide for iPhone. They are virtually the same.

i have itunes 10.6.1 and can't update itunes any further because im using mac os 10.5.8...the problem is that i just updated my iphone 4 to the new i OS6 and it won't let me sync to itunes without updating to itunes 10.7....help please??
Not for free, no. Well I guess there is. Don't sync your phone. We don't, but then we only use it for talking and taking photos which you can transfer using even a pretty old computer.

"Configuration Error" This version of Airport Admin Utility does not support this base station. You can't update the software for this base station, but you may be able to make configuration changes to it". ...
It says go to apple.com/support to locate a newer version - but I can't find one.
Does anyone know where it is?Your first post indicated that you were using "AirPort Admin Utility".
If you have the new square 802.11b/g/n AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) ou don't want to use that.
Instead you want to use "AirPort Utility". -
