HT1848 Retrieving a purchase that was made two years ago from a device that was lost

When I look at the purchases I've made from my account, there is the one that I made back in 2010. It was on an ipod that is now lost. I have a new ipod and I would like to retrieve that purchase but when I go to itunes and check my purchases, its empty. How do I retrieve this purchase?

@caragam, if the songs are no longer in your purchase history it means either they have been hidden or the original items are no longer available for sale on the iTunes Store or you are logged into the store with a different Apple ID.
To see if they have been hidden in iTunes pull down Store > View my AppleID. Enter your password when prompted. In the middle of the screen, click "view hidden purchases." See if the purchased items are here. If they are unhide them and go back to your purchase history and re-download them.
If the purchases are not hidden and you do not have a backup then the songs are gone and there is no way to recover them. This is why we keep backups.
If you used a different Apple ID to purchase the song, log out of the store and log in with the appropriate Apple ID and download the song. Be aware this could trigger a 90 day lock out of the other store account so make sure you really, really want that song.

Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

HT1420 How do I authorize music I purchased a few years ago from an account that no longer exists? The music shows up in my library, but it won't play. I can no longer access that email account because it was disabled...anyone can help?

Hey there~ I had a similar experience, when the email I used to set up the account was hacked and subsequently shut down by Hotmail. If you contacted Support to change the name, but not the email address, you will need to do so again.
Also worth noting~ if, at any time, you synced your device to your work computer, you'll need to contact Support to deauthorize it and enable your current one.

When I got my ipad, i was still using an old isp, but i changed isp when we moved. When i attempt to use cloud features, i get prompted for the password for the old email account which I turned off 2 years ago, What should I do?

You need to do the following:
1.     Go to Manage Your Apple ID https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
2.     Sign on with your current Apple ID and password
3.     Change your Apple ID to the old email address, but do not verify it - Save Changes
4.     Go to Setting>iCloud on your iPad, and scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Delete Account
5.     It will ask you for your password to turn off Find My iPhone, type in your current password
6.     Delete iCloud account
7.     Go back to Manage Your Apple ID and sign in with the changed ID and current password
8.     Change your Apple ID back to your current ID - Save Changes
9.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with your current Apple ID
You should be all set.

Adjustment in Value of Assets acquired two years ago

I have a scenario and i am wondering anybody can help or guide me. Asset were procured two years back which were acquired through PO. User came back today that they actual asset quantity was 98 instead of 100 and now they want to adjust GR to 98 which is not possible as GR was done two years ago and also depreciated in the last two years. Please note PO showing 100 quantity but they all belong to one asset with quantity 100. Now we need to adjust the values. Can anybody guide me what is the best way to do it and i beleive this is only possible in Asset Accounting to adjust values instead of cancelling or adjusting the GR?
Your kind suggestions will be really apprecaited.

1. You need to retire the 2 qty w/o revenue for sure - Suppose the 2 addnl qty was worth 100 USD.... Now after 2 years it is depreciated to , say, 90 USD...
When you retire w/o revenue - the APC (100) and accum dep (10) would go away
2. Now 2nd issue is the depreciation whivh got charged in the 2 years.....
You need to adjust the profit of those 2 years.... Discuss with your business team whether and how they would like to do it.. you will have to pass a JV from F-02 may be
3. if you paid your vendor excess beacuase of these 2 units - raise a debit note on him

Well, you can go to Manage your Apple ID and change the password if you can answer the Security Questions:
Apple - My Apple ID
If you cannot remember the Security Questions you can contact iTunes Support to reset them for you:
New iTunes Support - US and ww
Once you get your password reset and you can access your account info on Manage your Apple ID, you can change your ID. You won't be able to use the same email address that you are using for the new ID unless you change that one to something else. But, if you can get back into your old ID and change it to a new email address, then you can go on using that old ID, and just manually move the iCloud stuff you added to your new ID back onto the old one. Most of the stuff (like Contacts, Calendar, Notes) can be added by logging onto https://www.icloud.com on your Mac and doing it that way (it is a lot simpler when you have an actual keyboard in my opinion)

Unfortunately last November 2011, I attempted to upgrade the OS to 5.0.1 but rightaway, my sim card(Etisalat UAE service provider) was blocked. As a result, I can no longer use the telephone function. I just found out recently that this model number .i.e.MC319LL is to be used for AT&T. My question is, how can I restore my unit to work as a celphone? And why is it that when I upgraded it, it was blocked. Was it illegal to sell this phone in the UAE market?

You purchased a "hacked" iPhone(hacked to unlock it) from a non-official source for iPhones. Unfortunately, that's the risk you take when you purchase from a non-official source. There is no way to get your phone officially unlocked, & all warranty & support has been voided. Sorry, but you don't have any good choices here. Your best bet is to go back to Carrefour Supermarket & get your money back, then purchase an iPhone from an official source. If they won't give you your money back, have them "fix" your phone...they will have to "hack" it again. Good luck.

The answer would be in your software license agreement for Aperture. However if you cannot locate it you can ask in the Aperture forum, the link for that is:

However I believe you can have Aperture installed on two machines however only one may be using it at a time.
On the new iMac launch the Mac App Store - Purchased - look for Aperture and download to your new machine.

The airplay icon has disappeared from my desk top. It was there two weeks ago, so I can't watch movies I've downloaded from iTunes and flick them over to my TV.

The airplay icon has disappeared from my MAC desktop. It was there two weeks ago when I successfully used it to 'flick a movie i had purchased from iTunes over to my tv. Also, if I rent the movie through iTunes, why (because of the above issue) when I go to 'Purchased' it doesn't display as an option when actually using Apple TV, it doesn't display but when I go to rent it again a message comes up saying "you have already rented this movie, do you want to rent it again"? Frustrated!!

Ok Fellas, let me give you a clue: Games, particularly those that make heavy use of graphics and sound are notoriously power hungry. In fact, when I was in the Navy many years ago, the folks working on the NTDS (Navy Tactical Data System) computers used a version of Space Invaders to load test the AN/UYK-43 computers.
I have also noticed that all of my laptops (I have a brand new Toshiba dual core, an older Toshiba single core, plus 2 Dell dual core machines) have significantly shorter battery life when I play Company of Heroes than when I am just reading e-mail or surfing the 'Net. I have also noticed the same behavior when I play games on my 4th gen Touch and my iPhone 4.
The fact is, iOS 5 did make some major improvements as well as adding some nice functionality like iMessage, wireless synch, and such, but the down side is that depending on how you use the device battery life can be shorter that what you may have experienced with pervious versions of iOS. Its just the nature of the beast...
