My iPad ,music,Facebook,iTunes ,twitter ,tv,photo,send massage,all open,thank you.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center and check the volume level of the device. Also check to make sure it hasn't been muted. The physical volume buttons on the side of the device sometimes change only the sound effects, not the speaker volume. They will only control the speaker volume if there is currently music/video being played on the device.
If those controls do not bring your sound back, the earphones may be damaged.

Ibooks, ipad, itunes, ios 8 problem
i, like most people, have their ebooks from various sources, B&N, ibook store, friends, etc.... Here is the problem i am fighting. I will load a number of books on my iPad some from ibooks, some from B&N etc. All the books will load on the ipad and are checked in iTunes. the status bar shows the books are there, if i look at what is on the device the books are there, all is working well.
If i connect the ipad a couple days later here is what happens....
itunes has no books checked
on my device shows only the 5 books that i have purchased from ibooks store
all of the books are still on the ipad, but if i want to add another synching will erase all the books currently on the ipad and only sync the one i chose and the ones from the ibooks store.
this problem began with ios 8. i have been in conversations with apple and have a case opened with the engineering people. i was hoping 8.1.3 would help it did not. Has anyone else had this problem? thanks in advance for the assistance
rjheraldSame issue here, iBooks on MBP retina shows list checked. At random instances of syncing, my iPad will lose every book, PDFs etc, except those purchased through Apple. I cannot duplicate issue, so I don't know why sometimes sync works fine and next time, entire contents of iBooks vanishes save Apple Store purchases. I also cannot find a way to permanently delete those books and/or pdf's I no longer want from iTunes "books" screen, so when syncing deletes files, trying to recreate what I want is pretty tedious, since I have to go through a list
of every book and pdf ever present on MBPr.
ANyone know now how to prevent the loss of books during sync fromIOS device? -
ITunes credit card problem, HELP!
After I enter all my credit card information correctly as it is on the card, I click done but then it tells me to enter a valid security code for my card. Which i already did, and it is correct for that card.
Why does it keep doing this?
What can I do to fix it?I have the same problem. My Credit Card/Debit Card company told me that there were sufficient funds ($20.00) to cover the cost of my purchase ($19.98), but ITunes tried to clear $20.25 to see if the account was good enough for ITunes to deal with. I refuse to use another card and over 24 hours ago, wrote to ITunes asking that they solve this silly problem by having them bill my credit card for the correct amount of $19.98 and NOT $20.25. Until then, they will not get paid, and I will not purchase anything further from them, due to a screw up that ITunes has themselves created. I am upset that I have to write e-mails to them and that I do not have the option to contact someone by phone, especially now that it is over 24 hrs since I wrote them per their rules.

I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great!
The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -
Unable to use iTunes for about a month on my PC

Prepared to uninstall iTunes and start all over again, but how do I do this?hi mate i think i may have just solved this for you. had the same problem as you, i uninstalled all apple products and quicktime and safari, did a disk clean up and deleted old restore points(might not need to but did it anyway) downloaded itunes from explorer and managed to install the new itunes 11 wooohooooo hope this helps buddy

I have problem with my ipad , when i want to update ios 6 to 6.0.1 this message appear " unable to verify update , ios 6.0.1 faild verification because you are no longer connected to the internet" but my ipad is connected . Plz help me .
Not very helpful but I have the same issue. Plugging in and doing the update via. iTunes will probably work but I find that whole experience annoying (downloading apps not on the Mac, etc..)

My daughter has just bought me an iPad 2 from Dubai and set it all up for me but unfortunately the iMessage function doesn't seem to work. We keep getting messages,when trying to activate it, that there is a network connection problem - help!
Thank you both for your responses but my daughter was reassured by the salesman in the iStyle store (official Apple store in the UAE) that iMessages would work but conceded that FaceTime wouldn't. My iTunes account is registered in the uk and my daughter's iPhone has iMessages even though she bought it (and uses it) in Dubai. Can anyone else throw any light on this?

iPad sync problem - HELP! I keep getting this message "...cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional ...space needed)" and yet I seem to have plenty of space on the iPad. This just started today. I even tried deleting some things to make even more room, but it didn't help. Any ideas???

Whenever I open itunes in my ipad a message comes "cannot connect to iTunes Store"...help to get it right please, I have the new I pad and I was able to connect to iTunes before,and I use 3 g network..there is no network problem for sure because I could use safari and App Store perfectly...
Make sure cellular data is turned on..I checked and it was on
Tap Settings > General > Cellular
Switch Enable 3G to off then back on.
Same for Wi Fi. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Switch off then back on.'
Then restart the device.

I have an iPad 3 and have had no problems thus far. However, now I have apps that are stalled at "waiting" and when I try to sync with iTunes, I get a message that says 25 apps could not be synced because "the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined". I've had Apple devices going all the way back to the iPod with the wheel (including iTouch, iPhone 3, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPad 1st Generation, and iPad 3rd Generation), so have experience with both the Apple devices and iTunes. This one, though, is new to me and I can't figure out what to do about it. I've updated all apps in iTunes, yet it cannot sync to the iPad.
I appreciate any suggestions because I now have apps that I cannot use because they are "waiting".
(While writing this post, I realized that I still had yet to update to 7.1.2, so thought I'd do that before posting this question... however, now it seems stalled during the installation of the update. There is the Apple logo, and the bar below has about 10% lit up, and hasn't moved for at least ten minutes. So, I'm posting this anyway.... thanks for any help)

BrendaI suspect you may not have enough available storage space to install the updates or the iOS update.
How much space do you have? Go to Settings>General>About>Available
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
If storage space is the problem, you need to delete some apps, photos, videos, etc.

iOS6 and iphoto, iPad, Apple TV sync problem still unresolved. Turning on and off a few times per community advice have not helped. What should I do now? wait for an upgrade fix?
"&" is not the obvious bug/answer. Not sure what went wrong as I cannot select albums and events for sync. Situation is worse for iPad and Apple TV when error 1140 message popped up even before backup get completed.Download and install the iPhoto 9.4.1 update, which was just released today. Be sure that neither iTunes nor iPhoto is running when you install the iPhoto 9.4.1 update. After installing the update, then restart iTunes and iPhoto. By default, "All photos" is selected. Change this (it's no longer grayed out) to "Selected albums..." and you should be OK.
