Update what? The operating system on the iPad? If that's what you mean, then if you have iOS 5 and are connected to a WiFi network, you can update it by going to the General settings and selecting "Software Update". If your iPad still is on iOS 4.x, then you will have to have access to a computer running the latest version of iTunes to update.
If that's not what you meant, please post back and explain further what it is you wish to accomplish.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I inherited my iPhone from my husband so most of the apps are under his old Apple ID/business email account but his email account is no longer accessable since he has recently retired and no longer can use his business account. I don't know how to update the 45 apps that he purchased that are still on my phone.

My ipad 3 is frozen on the plug into itunes page - it won't turn off or on - just stuck. I have tried to follow advice I have found on these pages but I don't know how to connect the ipad to my mac (the advice is to connect ipad to mac and there is no usb port on an ipad). Last week I was prompted to do an update on my Mac Book Pro which I did. Ever since I did the update a box keeps popping up asking for login info for my keychains & they won't go away. I have no clue what these keychains are & I don't know how to find them & know the passwords for each of them. Plus now I don't get my email on here either. Please help me...
Outside of the contact number for that you've already used I don't know another way of direct contact. Here are some things that they may or may not of had you try that might help you. If you will go to the settings app and pick general on the right-hand side you will see accessibility. Within that you can adjust a text size make the text bowl you can also increase the contrast. You can also adjust the brightness and control panel.
As for Siri again in the settings app under general you should see Siri on the right-hand side with the switch to turn it on. If that is turned on and you're still having issues
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

I am trying to update an app, but its asking to connect to a wifi or downlown it in itunes. There are several apps that need updating, I can't do either or, or maybe I just don't know how to do it.It's saying that the app is over 50MB. But it's not telling me which app. Help!!!!!!!!!
Well, I just purchased Linksys wifi and hooked it up. It's running fine. When I go to my IPhone settings to see is I'm connected to a wifi, it shows that I am not connected. When I hit my wifi to see or to connect, it takes me to the wifi networks and it's showing my secured wifi as being locked and my guess wifi as not locked. How do I sign in to my own wifi network.

This may occur if you are connected to the Internet and iTunes is trying to connect to the iTunes Store and fails for some unknown reason.
Try this:
Quit iTunes and disconnect completely from the Internet.
IF you have an iPhone (iPod etc), open iTunes. Sync the device.
Re-enable your Internet connection.
Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes again.
If this does not work, try completely uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall it according to these instructions:

Quickbooks reports will not print. I think it has something to do with Adobe/Pages \but I don't know how to fix the issue. Help!
I don't see how it could have anything to do with any Adobe app or Pages. QuickBooks is its own thing and does not rely on any other apps to print.
I opened a couple of random reports and had no trouble sending it to a laser printer. Also no issue saving them to text file, or clicking the Export button at the top right of the report and having it open directly into Excel.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish, and what is failing? -

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

okay, I figured it out. But for anyone else with this same issue. Open up your itunes. On the panel, on the left hand side, click downloads. It won't show your old stuff, but on the botttom right hand side, there will be a button you can left click that reads "download previously purchased" and everything shows. You just select all and confirm download. YAY! Glad I got my music back :-) Hope this helps
