HT1918 Account payment method

I'm trying to change my payment information on my account and I get a session timed out message and cannot continue. Have to shut pad down to exit message. Help!

Assuming that you want help and that you aren't just copying-and-pasting that thread's title and posting a link to it, then have you tried the steps on the post that I linked to in my first reply on that thread ?
If you don't get the 'none' option when trying those instructions then you will need to enter credit card details before you will be able to use the account - when you've entered credit card details you should get the 'none' option and be able to remove your card details.

HBOS Ultimate Reward Account - Payment method declined

Simple question here, has anyone been able to register using this type of account? I'm having great difficulty trying to register it with my iTunes account and I'm desperate to get some paid for apps.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

What sort of payment are you trying to use ? If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

i am tring to change my apple payment method so that i do not need a credit card. an option for payment is usually "none" so i can only use itunes cards to make purchases. for some reason this is not an option. i have seen it on other iphones. my software is up to date. ANY SUGGESTIONS??

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
On your computer's iTunes you can log into your account via the Store > View Account menu option, or via the Account link under the Quicklinks section on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - you should get a payment details link on your account's details page.

HT1918 My payment method's being rejected by iTunes.

My iTunes no longer accepts my card as payment, I tried re-inputting the card details but it has repeatedly told me the payment method isn't valid. My account has money in it and the card works in shops, at cash points and on websites etc. Why has it suddenly stopped accepting my card out of nowhere and is there anyway of getting it working again please?

Make sure the information on your account is the same with your bank. I'd also suggest calling the bank and inquire if there are issues with your account. You can also contact support and have your account checked.

TS5366 Help with setting account payment method to none.

Hi,
I have 97 USD that I have redeemed in my account using iTunes cards. At the same time, I do not have a credit card anymore. I cannot make purchases although I have money in my account because I have to update my payment info. I tried to set it to none but it says I can't. I have de-authorized all computers, all devices, I have no payments due or pending and still cannot set payment to none or make any purchases! Any recommendations?

i have also ran into this issue. when signing up, it says enter cc info and then u can edit account and choose "none" for payment option....but it wont let u save without entering cc #, etc. Nowhere could i find a "none" option.

You have to use a credit card registered in your name at your home address.
There are NO alternatives.

I don't know where you updated this information, but if you didn't do it directly on the iPad, try updating the card on the iPad itself.
Settings>iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID. Tap on View Apple ID. Enter your password. Tap on Pyme t Information. In the next window, make sure that the new credit card in showing and that all associated information is correct, check the billing address, the security code and the expiration date. Save any changes that you make.
Then try to make another purchase.

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch) then you could try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

No G/L account has been specified for x/usd for the bank.
Message no.FZ018
Diagnosis
A specification has not been made in the system as to which G/L account is to be posted for the selected payment method and the specified bank details.
Procedure
Either specify a different payment method or a different bank in the entries were not correct. Otherwise, specify the GL account for automatic payment transactions with in bank selection customising.
i have configued two payment methods
i have given bank determination and sub gl account for payment method x with the house bank,account id and currency.
is this same sub gl account should be configured in FI12 for the same house bank???
please advise.

Hi Laxmai,
Just check your settings in Set up BAnk determination for payment transaction .
Path-img>financial Accounting>Business transaction>outoing payments>automatic outgoing payments>Payment method/bank selction for payment programme.
Here you check the settings in bank determination for payment transaction---in bank aaccounts whether you have mentioned the Bank sub bank account & payment Method.

HT1918 Can I have multiple payment methods on one account

Currently, both of my teenage sons and I are sharing an Apple account with one payment method. I would like to have a payment method for each of us.

If they are teenagers, it is not too soon to set up individual accounts per person.
This will address the separate payments issue, and will make it much easier in a few years when they start heading off to university or moving to their own living arrangements.

I have visa, mastercard, amex, discover and paypal - no "None" option for payment method. What do I do now? Assuming I don't want Apple to have my credit card info for no reason.

I figured out how to do this and I will explain it here so if you are trying to figure out how to get the None payment option then please read this as I will explain it in great detail so you can not fail when tryiong to figure it out. By the way I had to do this 7 times to finally figure it out, I was literally on my last try and I told myself if it didn't work one more time I was going to just return the iPhone I just bought a day and a half ago. So here it is the walk through that will really work:
Before we start I want to suggest that you do this on your computer not your iPhone. I attempted this on my iPhone the first time and it did not work. Meaning it did not give me the "None" option for payment types. The method that finally worked for me was doing this on my home computer. The following is exactly how I achieved this:
#1 Important read and follow each step individually and exactly before moving on or you may have to repeat the entire process!!!!!
#1 cont. If you already have an Apple ID that you have made with your favorite email account and you are not getting the "None" option after following the steps given on the walk through then guess what you have to scrap that Apple ID, there is no way around it unless you want to give CC info which is why you are here in the 1st place right? I know totally stupid and ******** as heck right? But there you go now you can forget about the other Apple ID you made. You are now going to have to create an entire new email account so you can do this like I did 5 times, but you only need to do it once, thank heavens right!? You have to do this unless you have an email account that you have not already attempted to creat an Apple ID with, if you have an email account that you have not used while attempting to create an Apple ID with then you can use that email account, if not then you need to make a new one, again, I know!?!? How fricken ******** can you get? Thank the Apple folks they designed it this way for God only knows why?
I don't know of anyway to delete an old Apple ID there might be someone on these forums that knows. The way I see it is if I never put personal information in it and it never worked who's ever going to care about it, I made 6 Apple ID's and none of them worked so I just forgot about them. I finally figured it out on the 7th one.

#2 OK, step two now. So if you needed to create a whole new email account you're probably feeling about as ****** as I was at this point, except I was 5 times as ******.
So in step number two, you just need to open up iTunes at this point. Once the program is open there is an iTunes store icon/button in the upper right corner of the program. Click on that button. (please note it does not matter if your phone is linked up with your computer).

#3 Step three. Click on the App Store optionnear the top of the screen in the center.

#4 Scroll down the page until on the right hand side there will be in bold Top Free Apps. Choose any one of the FREE apps and click on it.

#5 After clicking on the app it will pop up with a box asking if want to create Apple ID click on that option. Finish all the stuff secret questions and all to create a new Apple ID, yes you have to make a new one.

#6 Finally you will get to the page where it looks just like the payment page but the None option will be there now, don't ask why, again, only God and the horrible web page designers at Apple know why. You will still need to fill out the information on that page but you will notice as long as you have chosen the None option that it is not asking for any credit card information this time. Fill out the information and it will send a confirmation email thing to your new email account. Do the confirmation stuff that it requests and vioala you can now use the Home Sharing option in iTunes and sync your files. Wow, kind of a very long and ******** journey but we finally made it, yayyyyy!!!!
Apple should really, really, seriously considered getting this fixed ASAP!!
