HT1918 Apple ID Account content now unretrievable

I had an Apple ID account that got shut down when I wrongly answered security questions. I decided to open a new account and start fresh, but didn't realize all the songs,apps, and store credit I had from the old account would not transfer to my new account. Is there any way Apple will allow me to access the songs and apps I legitimately purchased with my old account using my new account? I stand to lose several apps and close to 180 songs. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can't transfer the ownership of iTunes content, your best bet is to go back and use your original account.
You should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

You have to be in a country to use its store - you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account to be able to use the US store (that applies to buying and redownloading).
You can use iTunes Match in South Africa, do you not have a backup copy of all of your US iTunes purchases so that you can subscribe to it and upload those that aren't in the South African store to it ?

Yes, you can delete them from your phone by tapping the icon until it jiggles, then tap the black x. You can verify that your Apple ID is still correct for future purchased by going to Settings>Store>Apple ID (at the bottom). If it's wrong, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using your ID. Then you should be good to go.

Open iTunes on the computer. Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display. You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password. Then you'll be all set!

OS X Mavericks: Reinstall OS X Heres the link if anyone else had the same problem!! This is if you deleted not only the Mac App Store, but iTunes, Calendar, whatever came with the Mac (Apps that came already installed on the Mac), if you deleted one of those then you have to reinstall the Mac OS, Note: This one is for Mac OS X (Maverick) my version is 10.9.4, go to that link and follow the instructions if you have Mac OS X (Maverick). Other help: Common Mistake: If you delete the app from the dock then just go to finder and applications folder and drag the app back onto the dock(it was just deleted from the dock NOT your system/computer). Just what do you want to accoumplish? If you want to share iTunes/App store purchases but have individual identifiers for Messages, FaceTime, iClould and GameCent then
I recommend that you
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

I recently updated my primary email address associated with my Apple ID account.
Now when I go to App store on my iPad it still tries to login to the App store using the old email address I had associated with the account, and naturally my password doesn't work. I can't figure out how to tell my iPad to login using the updated email address.
So in effect I'm locked out of the app store and I currently have 26 updates waiting.
I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my IPad to iCloud with no luck.. However I cloud happens to show the correct/updated email address.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.

Free Apple Developper account and ß testing iOS app?

Hi,
I have a free Apple Developper account for now and I plan to develop a draft app for iOS. So not for iTunes distribution (yet).
I have 2 questions:
1°
Do I’ll need to have a payed account (= join the iOS Developer Program and pay the $99) to develop beta apps that would only be installed for test on the 3 iPhones from my family?
2°
It seems that I would need that account to do iOS Push (as I should need upload APNS certificate and password)...
I’m not a developper but I’d need to develop a draft app, a mock-up.
Will it be possible to do it with my free developper account?

I have had several iisues with my Apple ID accounts and spent many hours at the APPLE store in Richmond Va. getting them fixed. The technician was wonderful, patient and very knowlegeable, however he was not able to complete the task and said I needed to contact Apple support for the final step. During the process of fixing things I ended up with two APPLE ID accounts. my main accout is suelefriends (at) gmail (dot) com and the second account is "pra1949 (at) me (dot) com" I have most of my apps tied to the main account with only a few to the pra1949 account. I also have $25 worth of credit on the pra1949 account. Because of the two accounts it still makes updating apps very confusing and very cumbersome. I would like to have the two accounts merged so I end up with one account with all the money and APPS tied to it, that way I only need one password to update. I hope this is possible.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here and they don't monitor these forums - I've asked the hosts to remove yout account ids from your post.
In terms of combining accounts it's not currently possible to do so, nor to copy/transfer content from account to another.

Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

No. Syncing with a different computer/library will wipe the content from the device and replace it with content from the new library.
All of the media should be in the iTunes library already, at least what was purchased from iTunes.

He needs to have his own account, the sooner the better.
As for content, non-protected songs can simply be copied to his own new library, and he can use them. As for protected content and apps, anything he still wants will have to be replaced.

It sounds as if you're using the same Mac OS X login account on that computer. If you create a separate login account for yourself, it will be as if you have two computers (other than the fact you can't both use it at the same time, of course).
Go to System Preferences->Users & Groups to create a new user account for yourself. Log out of your wife's account, then log in to your own account. You can now set up this user environment any way you like. When you launch iTunes the first time, enter your Apple ID and log in to the iTunes Store. Redownload all of your content. Then connect your iPhone to the computer using the USB cable - it will treat it as a new phone, let iTunes wipe the phone and set it up as new.
You might then want to set up Fast User Switching within System Preferences->Users & Groups which will allow you and your wife to swap the laptop between the two of you easily without even having to log out one account in order to log in to the other.

Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

Since the applications were purchased on the older account, you will need to log into that account to update them. The newer account will not recognize the purchases because they are not a part of the purchase history for the specific account.
