Hi i was wondering if it was possible to take your credit card information off your apple id and still be able to get free apps ? I had recently put a pre paid credit card info on the account and since i no longer use it i cant even get free apps all it says is theres a problem with my payment information

Apple ID Credit Card info is invalid???

What's going on? I try and log onto my iTunes account, and it says I have an invalid payment method. My Visa card doesn't expire until 2016, so why is there a problem? I can't download any music, or even any apps on the AppStore. Why can't I download anything and how can it be fixed? I've read previous comments about selecting "None" under payment method, but there IS NO "None" option for me. What is going on? Why can't I deselect he card option? Why can't I download apps? Why can't I get music anymore? Is till have money on the card, but it says I can't use it for anything. I re-entered all the info correctly, and still no results. Anyone else having this problem? It's making me very mad at Apple and ITunes and I want it fixed...

HT2534 Created an Apple id but it is asking for credit card info, and i dont want to give that, neither do i want to create a new account.

Dont trust apple for my credit card info on my iphone5s. So is there any work around? dont want to change the appleID.
Cant get the option of None in payment options. Even tried it by selecting my region as US.
Tried to sign in from Icloud as well but it doesnt work.

Unless you followed, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used in the store - you should be able to remove your card's details after entering it

If you don't want to enter you card's details then you will need to create a new account, and use those instructions when creating it

If the option to select "None" from the list of payment types doesn't appear, then there is a billing is with your last purchase which needs to be resolved first.

This is so frustrating! I have an itunes store account, etc. I lost all my info when I had to "restore" my iphone.
I wasn't able to do the "restore" until recently, gosh it was about 6mos or more ago when my iphone died...
So, as I get older I am having memory problems and haven't been able to access my itunes account.
Obviously when I did the "restore" on my iphone I lost all my info with it... So, wanting to use my iphone for

If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.
