These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here and you should not post your credit card details here - I've asked the hosts to remove them, but in case you read this first you should have 15 minutes from the time of your original posting to edit your post. As these are public forums, and people can potentially subscribe to them and may have therefore received your card details, you should get that card immediately cancelled and request a new one from your card company.

    First, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your iPod. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately.     As to a refund, that's not automatic since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

    They're usually pretty lenient in the case of inadvertent purchases by children. No guarantees, though, just as if your child was in a store and ate a bunch of food (in other words, something that can't just be returned).

    By 'not accept' you mean ... ? If you are getting an error message then if you post what the message says then somebody on here might be able to try and help.
    For a card to be accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and to have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If your card is, and if it's being declined, then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

    Could be any number of things - hard to tell since you haven't provided details.  If this is for a purchase on the app store, the card's address must be from the same country as the store's location.  Could be lots of other issues.

    have exactly the same problem. i use virtual visa cards (mbnet.pt), issued by my bank (and that are tied to my bank account), and now itunes is also saying that i cannot add more cards. contaced costumer support, and they said the same, to go and buy gift cards (even though they're not sold in my country) or make a new account (losing all my previously purchades apps). So now basically im left with an account that cant buy stuff.
    this is beyond crazy. ive been told by my friends that they thought that the limit was 5 cards every 30 days, but now costumer support says its forever. what?

    Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.

    What happens when you try to add it ? If it's a credit card (I don't think that debit cards are still accepted) then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ?     Sounds like you opened a new account using a new Apple ID. This is the only way you would lose purchases because past pirchasea are always tied to the ID that they were purchased under.

HELP!!
