What it's telling you is correct. Gift cards are valid only in the country in which the card was issued. You cannot use an iTunes card issued in the UK in a US iTunes Store account. Give or sell the card to someone who can use it in the UK.

Try:
- Another cable
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I've created a customized menu and at the instance of me selecting a menu, a VI should load itself dynamically. I am using call by reference. Sometimes it works and sometimes it won't. In short, what I want to achieve is load VIs dynamically and close them dynamically once they finish executing. Thanks !

Who did you buy the card from, and was the scratchoff coating on the back of the card intact when you bought the card?

What you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a copy of the receipt

Make sure you're using the correct code. For most iTunes cards, the code is under the scratchoff area on the back of the card. Also, the gift card you're trying to use must have been issued in the country whose iTunes Store you are using; you cannot use a card from another country. If you're sure you're using the correct code and that the card was indeed issued in your country, contact the iTunes Store Support; instructions are at the bottom of the article from which you came.

Trying to update The Age and also eBay (both Australian app) using my Australian iTunes ID, and it says I must switch to the US store? All other app updates are fine??? Help!!

As above, I have been trying to update The Age newspaper app which I have been using for ages- it's an Australian app and I have an Australian iTunes ID. It's wont let me update and says my account is invalid and I must switch to the US store? This also happens when trying to update my eBay app?? All my other app updates are fine?? Why is it ding this and how do I get around it?? I don't want a US iTunes account and shouldn't have to get one just to update this app???

Hi, Lucy.
This is a tricky one and I could see where it could be an issue as this App is also available in the US store. I would recommend making sure it is in your purchases via the article below on your computer. If so, try deleting the application from your iPhone or iPad and download it again free of charge via the purchased section in the App Store. Also, see if you can update the application on your computer and sync it over.

It is a valid and important problem but it would seem Apple are deciding to ignore it. I can understand them asking to see a receipt but as you have said, when buying them as gifts for people it is highly unlikely that you will keep said receipt. You automatically expect the card to work!!
Kick up a fuss with your local Consumer Protection organisation. Get in touch with your local press and explain the problem to them.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you go beyond the credit from a gift card the balance will be billed to your credit card account.

I;ve done holding both buttons as you sugested, but there is no signal appearing.
I am in Uruguay, South America and the original company is Movistar ( Telefonica) and the new sim card is from ANTEL ( the officail and biggest company in my country).
I don;t knoe what todo.
