HT1918 How do I clear a message about a problem with a previous purchase when my order history shows no purchases?
I am trying to download an app. I get a message that says there is a problem with a previous purchase. I log into the store and there is no history. I updated my address but continue to get the same message and cannot download my desired app. Any suggestions please?
If you get a pop-up message asking to update Firefox or plugins or scanning for malware then such a message is likely a scam and you should never respond to such an alert to avoid getting infected with malware.
*Only update Firefox via "Help > About" or by downloading and installing Firefox from the Mozilla server and never via a pop-up or link on a web page.
*Plugins should only be updated via the plugin itself or by visiting the home page of the plugin.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Is there any sort of error message on the payment details screen on your account ? If not then if you enter your card's security code does that trigger an error message ?

I get this sometimes with the card I've been using for years. I'm not sure what happens but usually, all I have to do is go into iTunes and edit my card info. Instead of changing anything, I just save the changes even though I didn't make any and then iTunes will then automatically resubmit the over due charges.
This same thing also happens with SiriusXM account and at least once ir twice a year, I get a past due notice in the mail. Frustrating even though there is nothing wrong with my card. -
I am getting a pop up box saying that there is a problem with the plug in container for firefox. It keeps saying do I want windows to find a fix for it and close it or do I just want to close the program. What is this plug in container for firefox and why am I constantly getting this message? It has been happening for the past month or two.
It means either you have a faulty/out of date plugin, or your firewall/antivirus is causing problems with Firefox.
Make sure you update all your plugins and disable unwanted ones.

Also, make sure your firewall/antivirus is not blocking plugincontainer.exe from the Firefox folder in your computer. How you make sure that's not the case will depend on your firewall/antivirus. -

I have a new visa debit card, I have tryed several times to put in this new information into my IPad. The program keeps telling me.

I've been running iTunes on WinXP for years with few problems. I have all my iTunes files on an external USB drive. I just bought a new PC running Win7, 64-bit.
I connected the external USB drive to the new PC and installed 64-bit iTunes on it. When iTunes started up, I pointed it at the iTunes directory in the external drive, using Edit > Preferences > Advanced > iTunes Media Folder Location. It showed a progress bar that it was updating the iTunes Library. I signed in and authorized the new machine. I have one spare authorization.
Then iTunes put up a message "The item you've requested is not currently available in the Hong Kong Store." I had not requested anything from the HK store at that point, and I have never used any store other than the HK one.
When I click OK, the iTunes Store page remains blank, apart from saying "iTunes Store" in the middle of the page.
I went to "View My Account" and pressed the Reset button to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading items", but that doesn’t fix this particular warning. I also tried Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Warnings and Rest Cache.
But still, every time I click the “App Store” button in the iTunes Store window, the message appears. If I click the Books, Podcasts or iTunesU buttons, these display normally. So I’m stuck with being unable to purchase apps, other than through my iPad and iPhone.
If I move the external drive back to the XP machine, the same thing happens. If I go to another PC - a notebook running Vista - everything is normal.
Any idea how I can clear that message?

I have tried re-validating my credit card, which apparently fixed it for some.
I have also tried uninstalling, re-downloading and installing again.
Neither of these steps fixed the problem. -

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed. -

It doesn't sound like the Exchange environment is configured in a manner to support these types of clients very well. Have your Exchange team look at the following

You might want to:
Ask your Exchange team the public URLs (ExternalURL) for Exchange OWA & ActiveSync
Open the OWA URL in your Internet Explorer from your Surface
If you get a Certificate warning, open the certificate and select Install (NOTE: You may have to install the entire certificate chain). Your desktop support team should be able to support this because it is the SAME process for standard Windows 8x
desktops.
Confirm that you can open OWA on your surface with no more certificate or security warnings. NOTE: The Exchange team will have to configured OWA properly.
Once confirmed, repeat the same steps for the activesync URL that they provided.
When done, try using the OWA OR ActiveSync URL value in your settings of your Mail client.
