HT1918 How do I switch from a US Apple ID to a Canadian one without a credit card?

I have tried switching my existing Apple ID (set up as a US account without billing info) to a Canadian account. However, when I do this there is no "none" option for payment options, and I do not have a credit card to use. Now I cannot download the apps that I want as it says I need to input my payment info to continue.
Please help!

You have to have a Canadian credit card, billed to a Canadian account, AND you have ot be physically inside the borders of Canada.

"The iTunes Service is available to you only in Canada, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance."

my problem solve by me
first create apple id
fill credit card details
and complete your account creating process.
than go to app store or itune store
login your acount
click right side - account button
than again login for account setting
next go to payment information and click edit button
when u enter payment infomation
click none button in payment method and click done button.
than ur credit card has been removed.
but rs. 60 will deducted in your account when u doing this process.

what do you mean it doesn't help? did you follow the steps stated below
Creating an account on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Open the App Store on your device.
Find a free application on the App Store.
Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must download and install the free application by tapping Free followed by tapping Install App.
   Tap Create New Apple ID.
Choose your country, and then tap Done.
   You'll need to read and agree to the iTunes Store Terms & Conditions. Tap Agree located at the bottom of the page to continue.
Enter your email address, security questions, birthday, and create your password.

   Continue to fill out the required email, address, and phone number fields. Tap Next.

How do I setup an Apple Id account to update software without a credit card?

I setup an iCloud account and now I do not have a 'none' option for payment type. This is a business computer, so I can not put a credit card on the account. But without a credit card to put in the Apple Id account, I can not update much of the software, even though it was pre-installed on the laptop and not purchased through the App Store.

I've read that manual & I tried: there is NO OPTION to select None, whatever way I try.
Perhaps there is an issue with the newer iPod Touch OS version (tried this on a brand new iPod, iOS version 5.0.1)?
And I already have an account & I can also not change that one's payment options to None.

Creating an Apple ID for a child requires the use of a credit card for your payment method in Family Sharing. See this article -

Specifcally -
Before you begin, make sure that you're using a credit card as your iTunes Store and App Store payment method. To comply with child online privacy protection laws, you will use the CVV or security code from a valid credit card as part of providing your parental consent. If the card on file is a debit card or another payment method, you’ll be asked to provide a credit card before you can continue. After you create the child's Apple ID, you can change your payment method back to a debit card.

I'm quite new with this whole apple business as I've never used Apple products before. But now that i got a new macbook, the mac app store says I have an update for my iPhoto. I want to download the update using my newly created Apple ID but I do not own a credit card (and certainly I do not plan to own any until much later anyways). It says I have to fill in all the boxes asking for my creadit card information thus I cannot continue to downloading without filling those credit card info boxes first. So, any suggestions?

Sorry, but you must have a credit card, or debit card to make iTunes/ App store purchases, even if they are free. This is due to the fact it is online.

I have an Ipod 1st gen, and I can't seem to make an Apple ID without giving my credit card number. I even looked up how to make one without the credit card number, but it doesn't show up as an option when i follow the instructions. Help anyone?

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

I assume you do mean a different account and not simply a different iTunes library. Unfortunately, in order to switch accounts, you would need to log out and log in to the second account.

Tap the button in the upper left corner of the mail app to back out all the way to where you can see all of the email accounts.... Is that what you want to know? There is no way to simply "toggle" between the two accounts.
