HT1918 how do you change the setting on your iPod touch to your new account details? e.g. changing the email to the new email

i cannot seem to be able to change the account details on my actualy iPod, even when i plug it into itunes? the account details have been changed on my itunes and computer account. So why don't they show up on my iPod?

Try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in with the updated version.

If it is still under warranty you can call the 800 number to apple and enter the serial number and it will tell you if it is under warranty or not if not its like $30 basically for them to help or something like that it said today when i called...
Or take it to a genius bar if you have one near?

If you mean can you Use Apps that are on your iPod Touch on your computer... the answer is No.
They use Different Platforms = Operating Systems.

If the iPad already has iOS you can go to Settings>gener>wifi update and update via wifi. Otherwise yu will have to connect to iTunes and update via iTunes.

This Christmas I decided to get an iPod Touch 2G 32 gb. In shopping around and doing some comparisons, I decided I also wanted to get an iPhone. Now, like anyone, I want to get the best deal. So I have been looking around at Touches and iPhones. There are a lot of brand new touches on Ebay coming from people in India, Sri Lanka, etc. and I was keeping an eye out. I have also been looking at iPhones on ebay, because although I don't mind paying 300+ for a touch, I can't justify paying an additional 500+ for an iPhone. So, I was hoping to find a used one that someone didn't want anymore. Well, yesterday, as I was surfing the net, I came across a web site that sells all these "iPod Touch" and "iPhone"s, obviously to resellers as they are in bulk. The ads they offer are exactly the same as the ads on ebay, but in a garbled note at the bottom they say "x.ffyes, not no real.Fake" So, what I was hoping someone can tell me is how you can know an iPod Touch or iPhone is real before you buy? I am sure there are plenty of ligit people out there that just want to sell their used phone for any number of reasons. How can I weed them out from the clones and fakes? I assume you are not in USA and there are a lot of iPhones outside USA that have been unlocked unofficially and they turn into a brick if you upgrade to 2.2. If it works with 2.2 then it probably is a real unlocked iPhone.
Just pay the 500euro and buy an officially unlocked one from Apple official retailers in the countries that have that. (France, Belgium, HongKong, Australia to name a few) It's worth it.

it I have a video that I made in .mp4 format and in my iTunes 11 library. In iTunes 10, you could convert it so it was compatible with mobile devices (in my case and iPod touch 4G). Is this still possible in iTunes 11, and if so, how do I do it? I tried just moving the unconverted video to my iPod, but that doesn't work.

In iTunes go to File>Create New Version>Create iPhone or iPod Version.

How do you remove a Jailbreak from an iPod Touch?

I bought an iPod Touch 3rd Gen from someone, it was jailbroken and I didn't know. I went into the general settings and reseted all settings and data. Since then, the iPod has been reseting itself all the time, passing from the home screen's apple logo, which then explodes and becomes the Jailbreak logo. It loads a bit, but never opens up. Is it normal when you closed your _ipod touch 2nd generation_ and your theme song is gone? What I mean is that when I listened to this certain song and I closed the ipod and I opened the ipod up again, and go to "music" to listen to the song that I just listen, the "Now Playing" page is not coming up no more. Instead, the whole music's page come up. I'm just wondering if this is normal for the ipod touch? Or there is something wrong with mine? If it not normal for the ipod touch to be this way, anybody know how to fix it? Your help would be really appreciated.

yes, this is normal behaviour - at least for the 1st Gen, and i can't see any logical idea why it wouldn't - (presumably as when you turn your ipod off, it thinks you are finished with it.) BUT if you just put your ipod into sleep mode, it will remember the song (you will have to pause it, otherwise it will continue playing)

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for a n64 GB 4G and $99 for the others. They do not fix yours.

Does anyone else think it is stupid that the 2nd gen of iPod touch can't update to even 4.3? Cuz none of the apps work anymore and i don't have $300 to throw down for a new one.

Yeah, I have been getting tons of updates for my apps, but since my iPod touch can only go to software 4.2.1 all of my apps have slowed down and crash,freeze, and don't get all the new things available on the other software versions. It is incredibly frustrating and kind of stupid to phase out the owners who have the older models that work just fine.

The 2G was introduced 4 1/2 years ago. That is old in electronics standards. It does not have the hardware to support a higher iOS.
