HT1918 How does one organise the apple ID so that one uses the same email address to have an account on both the UL and Belgian itunes stores?

I have in the past created an Apple ID for use with the UK itunes store, because I want to read in English. If I sign in it seems that this ID will only allow me to purchase from the UK store. But I live in Belgium, so I can't download from the UK store. So I tried to create an apple ID for the Belgian itunes store. But I want to use the same email address as I used for the first apple ID I made (because I'm fed up of having to remember which email address I used for which account). When I tried this, I just get a message saying that the email address is already in use for another account (which I know, because it's me who made that account). Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I have tried again using the same password. and it still doesn't work.
I'm presuming you went ahead and set up a new Apple ID, yes? Using the same password in more than one Apple ID has worked for me in the past, but I haven't tried it in a while so the tightened security may have changed that. You could use the same password but add "-UK" and "-BE", or something like that, to make it easier to remember.
I understand what you mean about losing the ability to deal with UK purchased stuff, but this is becoming so inconvenient that I do want to delete that UK apple ID account. I have looked everywhere I can think of on the apple website (apple id, itunes, support etc) and I can't find a link/eplanation/contact point that deals with deleting apple ID and itune store accounts. Surely this must be possible?
It's possible, but Apple is very reluctant to do it, and it's not something a user can do on their own. It would be better to just stop using the UK account rather than trying to get it deleted. Just remove your payment information and there should be little reason to have the account deleted. If you really want to try, though, you'll need to send a message to iTunes support specifying that you want the account cancelled.
On a completely different matter, I have bought my son an ipod touch. But since he is younger than 13 years old, how does one go about using the itunes store to get music onto his ipod touch?
You would need to buy tracks for him; he's too young to have his own iTunes Store account. To control what gets synched to his iPod, this should help:

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

I've set up my daughters ipod touch last year all fine. She's had a mini this yr but when setting up facetime and entering her email address, which is used on the touch, I get an error message saying the address is already being used.
I thought you can use the same email address on multiple devices.

I have four different email addresses setup on my Mac, iPod Touch and my two iPads that I can select from and use as the email address with no problems at all.
Turn off FaceTime, and sign out of the Apple ID in the FaceTime settings, restart the iPad and try again. Turn FaceTime on again, sign in with the Apple ID and then try the email address again.

make seperate appleID's if you wish to be frinds or if you wish to facetime video chat and if you wish to not recieve the samme imessage msg's unless you turn it off

Well I am having the same issue and I had not had to worry about getting a "licensed charger." The poster who responded offered not real insite and was rude to boot. After purchasing a new computer I downloaded itunes and signed in to my account. Everything was fine including my current email address. When I connected my iPod and it started to cink, I go a message that the computer had to be authorized our my music would be removed. We are having this same issue. We have over 200 songs that are now missing and only our most recent ones show up in our ITunes library. Fortunately we have one phone that still has all of our music still in tact. This phone is no longer one I will be using as I upgraded to the Iphone 6, and only the most recent purchased songs remain. No, this is not possible. It would be like dialing your own phone number. You must verify an additional new email address for your second iPad. See the following link which will tell you how to do this. You will need to add this new address to Facetime app in one of your iPads.

No, go to http://appleid.apple.com and Login in with your current email and pass.
Then tap/click on Edit near your email address to change your email address to the new one.
This will keep all your purchased content available and associated with the new email.

If you acquired content with the old Apple ID, you also forfeit the content. Content is forever associated with the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another nor does Apple merge IDs. It would be best to reacquire use of the ID than to abandon it if you have content because that is the only ID that can redownload the content or update it. Call Apple Care for your country and ask for the Account Security Team, then request help resetting the password for the account.
Otherwise, if none of that matters, just abandon the ID and everything associated with it, delete everything from your devices and libraries. Then create a new Apple ID and start over.

This is entirely my complaint.
I have to sit without useable internet for 5 days when there is no fault, before anyone does anything about it ? BT visit the village to do something for another customer, mess up my perfectly working broadband, and then refuse to do anything about it for 5 days. And I pay full price during that time. Let's just hope they don't come back to do something else within those 5 days !!!
There isn't a fault with the line, it is perfectly stable. I just need somebody to use common sense and set the IP profile back to what it was.
If the system is so clever, it could at least try moving off 135k to 512k say after an hour or so.

Yes you can.
If these devices are used by you, then no worries.
If they are used by others, I would recommend setting them up using their own AppleID.

You should be able to. I did. See:

You do not want more than one AppleID. All items you buy with an AppleID are permanently associated with that AppleID and cannot be transferred. It then becomes a major nuisance having to manage more than one AppleID on your devices.
You cannot delete an AppleID. Just remove information from it and stop using it.
