I had to change my e-mail address and therefore also my Apple ID & Password - I had about $100 in Credits from Apple Vouchers which I redeemed - with the new ID this amount is gone - is it possible to regain it?

Not on your own. Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the cards; they'll only do this for completely unspent ones.

I'm unable to download iMovie/iphoto, as i didn't buy the mac brand new, it only gives me the 'accept' button when i try to download, i don't mind purchasing, it just doesn't give me the option. any ideas how i can get around this?

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on. So i went through all the set up steps when switching it on for the first time.
My problem is that iPhoto and iMovie are not installed, and when i go to the app store the icons have an accept button, it then prompts me for my apple ID, obviously these a registered to the original owner, and says i need that ID in order to download them, or i'll have to purchase them.
I'm happy to purchase them, but it doesn't give me that option, every time i search for them in the app store they always come up with the accept option and no purchase option.
Any idea how i can get round this would be great fully appreciated.

For your addressbook, export the files to vCard on the PowerMac, then bring them over to your Mac Pro. For your iPhoto, copy the Users -> yourname -> Pictures folder to your Desktop on the Mac Pro, and open iPhoto on the Mac Pro holding the command and option keys. Select the library file from that Pictures folder and open it. It should import all the pictures into iPhoto as part of the rebuild process. Please take these steps if you're prompted for a password when moving items in your home folder to the Trash.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

2. Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select

3. The dialog should show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section. Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

You buy one and only one download of movies. it is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
Copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

You didn't mention which version of OS X your running but there are password reset utilities provided OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier) - Apple Support or OS X: Changing or resetting an account password - Apple Support
Alternately you can use an external keyboard to log in and change the password. Make a backup if you don't have one, it's likely that your problems aren't over. If that water continues to migrate downward and fries the logic board your macbook will be toast.

Try a Hard Reset.....

I am very disappointed (yet I somewhat understand) Apple and how they completely have no interest in helping return lost items. I don't believe the person who traded me this was from around here so I don't even know where to begin. I seen on ebay you can sell them for parts but I don't really believe in doing that and would like to at least try my best to get it back to whom it belongs to. I will be contacting my local police department regarding this but I don't think they will be able to do much if it was stolen from somewhere else. However if nobody claims it in 90 days and I have a letter from my local police station saying I am the new owner, will that be enough for apple to unhold their policy of proving the item belongs to you?

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to Restore the device...
1) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore...
