I already removed it as my Rescue Email but still don't accept it. I don't wanna make new email address and I also don't want to make a new Apple ID because I have purchases in that account. I just want to change my email address because I'm no longer using the email address of my Apple Id so i would like to change it to my present email address. What to do?

After removing it as your rescue email address did you try logging out and then back into your account to see if that then allows you to use it as your main address ?

Your iPhone was hacked or jailbroken before and through the update it locks back to the original carrier. Only the original carrier can unlock the iPhone. You have to contact them and find out what the procedure you needs to follow.

Were you definitely connected to the internet at the time? If you don't have iOS 5 on your iPhone then the only way to update it would be via iTunes, once updated to the latest version of iOS you'll be able to update your iPhone without connecting to iTunes "over-the-air".
Before updating however it goes without saying to Backup your iPhone, this should happen by default upon connecting your iPhone to iTunes.

Backups are only used for restoring iPhones via iTunes.
If you desire to go about another method for extracting data from a backup, use google to find out how (if possible) to make that happen.

I suspect you have the original (first generation, 1G iPod those can only go to iOS 3.1.3, If your iPod does not have an internal speaker and no volume buttons on upper left edge it is a 1G.

Hi, I still use an iPhone 4, ever since my recent update of iOS I cannot purchase apps from the App Store, and a message keeps appearing saying that, 'this item cannot be purchased from the US store, and please switch to the Malaysia store''.

I checked my iTunes ID and it turns out that the country shown there is the one that I am actually living in. And it is the same as my billing address, but when I tried to update my apps again, I keep getting this message, 'you are not eligible for purchase of this item from the US store, please switch to the Malaysia store'. How do I solve this issue.
Besides ever since I updated my phone iOS it has started misbehaving, quite irritably at times. Dropped calls, slow typing, apps open very slowly, apps cannot be updated with prompts coming up like, this app cannot be updated now, please try again. I had to delete quite a few apps and reinstall them again. I had a trouble free experience with this phone till now, but is apple losing its magic.

Got it sorted though. Seems that Apple has issues with multiple apple id's.
Seems i had to somehow remember and use the original id i had when i first bought my 1st iPhone. . . .
Even after that it was extremely hard to get my apps back on my PC.

You can edit your rescue e-mail address to whatever other email rescue address you can use or just get rid of it altogether at ... My Apple ID
Do this first. Then you can edit your main e-mail address and change it to the one you want to use.

If you have a Verizon phone, 4.2.10 IS the latest update. A cursory search of this forum would likely have gotten you the answer much faster.

Marcello, I am having the same problem. When following the advice of many in the community to start iTunes in 32-bit mode, I get the following error after I have done so:
I am running 10.9.2 on a mac mini.
I am hoping this will be fixed or at least a solid answer could be given that iTunes will no longer support certain types of media going foward.
