  • How to unlink iTunes credit card info from apple id info

I put my credit card as my mom's payment for her itunes. However this changed her Apple ID to my name and address. When I changed the Apple ID info, it changed the credit card info
They should not be linked because that means the Apple ID is linked to a credit card of a different Apple ID user.
This is clearly an inbedded problem because it happens continuously immediately.

I tried to enter it as "none" but it didnt work. It keeps saying i need a card number and all that. But then, i clicked "same as shipping information" and just entered my name and all the adress stuff, put my credit card number as 0 and my security code as 0, put in a random date and clicked save.
-Just a tip for anyone else who couldnt figure it out like me

  • Providing itunes credit card info

Is there any way to get around adding credit card info when changing/adding appleid ?  I do not purchase music/videos, etc. from my phone.

It is never necessary to change your payment information when changing your Apple ID, except (perhaps) if there is an already a problem with your existing payment method.
To change your Apple ID: On a computer, go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and select "Manage your Apple ID". Log in with your Apple ID and password, then select "Name, Apple ID and Email Addresses", then click Edit next to "Apple ID and Primary Email Address". Make sure it is a valid email address that conforms to the listed criteria that appear. At some point you may need to verify your existing security questions.
If you want to create a new Apple ID without a credit card, you can do that too:
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Step 3 is important, no matter whether you do this on a Mac or an iPad / iPhone:
Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must download and install a free application. ...
Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must download and install the free application by tapping Free followed by tapping Install App. ...
To summarize, you must first download a free app from the App Store. When you are asked to sign in with your Apple ID, select "Create new account". Accept the terms and conditions checkbox, then click Continue. After you enter all the requested personal data, click Continue.
When you are asked to select a payment method, select "None".

  • HT1918 my credit card info is correct and is coming back declined and also charged my account over $60

my debit card isnt updating and it is correct coming back decline also charged my account over $60 trying to update info with new card PLEASE HELP

Your post's title says credit card, but in your post you say debit card - which one is is ? If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management.
For the $60, each time that you try to add or change your card details (how many times did you try to add the card ?) a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

  • HT1918 Updating Credit Card Info

When updating my credit card in iTunes it says 'enter a valid security code', even though the code is correct.  So I am unable to change my CC number.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Anyone know how to fix it?

You'll need to contact your bank and have them check your account. Only your bank can explain why this is happening.

  • HT1918 how can I remove my credit card info from itunes?

how can I remove my credit card info from itunes?!

Follow the instructions in the support article from which you came and select "none" as the payment method. If you don't see a "none" option, you may have an outstanding balance that you owe. If you've been using a true credit card that's unlikely, but if you've been using a prepaid "credit" card or a debit card where there is a balance, it's a possibility.
    Regards.

I have a credit in my itunes account but when making a purcahse it is asking for my credit card info.  I don't want it charged to my credit card, I want to use my account credit.  How can I do this?

    Hello, Lynne.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is a helpful article that explains how iTunes purchases are billed.
iTunes Store: How iTunes Store purchases are billed
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5582
When using iTunes to purchase content for the first time on a new device, it may require you to verify your payment information as a way to authenticate your device.  If this not a new device attempting to access iTunes store and prompting you provide payment information, there could be an outstanding balance.  This article will show you how to verify you purchase history and invoices.
iTunes Store & Mac App Store: Seeing your purchase history and order numbers
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727
Also, you can change the payment method as none as long as there isn't an outstanding balance on the account.
