HT1918 My account is asking me for my security code on my credit card, but it will not accept the code as valid? Not sure what to do?
I am trying to purchase an app on a new iPad we have purchased. I'm asked to put in my security code on my credit card for security reasons, but it will not accept my code as valid. Not sure how to proceed.
Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.

and as regards the balance, first make sure you didn't make any in-app purchases. Many "free" apps, particularly games, have additional levels or features that cost money. Check your purchase history in your iTunes Store account and see what you're being charged for.

HT1918 My account has prompted me for my security code
I am unable to update my apps. To research the issue, I hardwired in and noticed my iTunes account was prompting me for a security code. After entering and re-entering, trying a new card and returning to the previous one, it tells me my code is invalid.
I have tried to contact Support but am receiving no resolution.
HelpIf it's the security code not valid, this will be better resolved by your bank. Have them check your account for a block or something. I'd also recommend contacting iTunes support one more time and have them review your account as well.

trying to do a hard reset on my iphone 4s. never had a lock code on the device. I am using an iphone 5 and after update i add a security code.
I am using the same one but it does not accep the code.
Is there any other way to do the hard reset on the device?I went to Setting, General, and reset, I select Reset all settings and contents and it asked me for a 4 digit code but when i use the one on my current iphone 5 id doest work.

The security code or CVC code is not your PIN number. It's the last three digits on the back of the credit card next to the signature field

After making update on ios 6, there was a problem in updating applications and in purchasing new applications. The issue is in billing information, the security code of my credit card. I go and entered the security code again, but the problem persidts. Please help, because i cant do sny purchase or sny update!!!.

How do I delete a credit card from my iTunes account without adding another one? My friend bought an app with her credit card and I no longer have the info but every time I try to download a free app (ex: Instagram, Twitter, vine etc.) it ask for the credit cards security code. I can not find a way to delete that cards info without adding another cards info.

It is the same for the app store. You are required to have some sort of payment method in the record.

I had a iPhone 3G and I change it in to a iPhone 4G 32GB! I have 3 apple ID account. The one I used is <edited by host> and I know my password but it ask me for my security question and I forgot it! It send a veify email the answer the an email to <edited by host> and the email <edited by host> that is my other apple ID and the password work on apple but my yahoo account I forgot my password and security question and it won't verify to my email on to my apple email. so it send the answer to <edited by host> and I can't get it! It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?
Otherwise you will need to contact Support: go to https://expresslane.apple.com/ and click on 'iTunes' in the center column and then 'iTunes Store' in the right-hand column and proceed from there. -
i have a half-filled form for my apple id account & in it there is no option as NONE for credit card payment method. Now when i try to create a new account it asks me for a different email/apple id as my actual id already exists???
If you want to use the email address that you used on the first account then you will need to remove it from that first account before you can do so e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's or via http://appleid.apple.com - you can create a new email address via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com to replace it with.
