all of a sudden apple keeps saying "your payment method has been declined" ive had my apple account almost 2years and never had a problem so why now?

You've checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account, Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11, menu option on your computer's iTunes), and have you made any in-app purchases or have any auto-renewing subscriptions ?  If not  then you can contact iTunes support via this page amd see if they can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    If it's declined, you will need to call your bank and ask why it's being declined in iTunes. They should be able to explain this to you. Make sure all the info in iTunes and with your bank is the same by the way.

    How does a credit card have "enough balance"? I don't understand. Do you mean an iTunes Card? Whatever balance remains on an iTunes Card must be sufficient to buy the app as well as pay any sales taxes, VAT, GST, etc.
    In any event you can verify and/or modify your billing information by following these instructions:
    On a computer, open iTunes. If you are signed in to iTunes, skip to step 4.Note: Verify that you are signed in to the correct iTunes account. If you are unsure which account you're signed into, choose Store > Sign Out and proceed to step 2.
    Choose Store > Sign In.
    Enter your account name and password, then click the Sign In button.
    Choose Store > View My Account.
    Click the Edit Payment Information button.
    In the Payment Method section, choose None.
    Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.
    Click the Edit Payment Information button again.
    Enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
    Select your credit card type in the Payment Method section.
    Enter your credit card information, your card's security code, and the expiration date.
    Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.

    My Credit Card has been used by someone else to purchase Skype Credit without me being aware. I need help to identofy the user that hacked by Credit card details and used to purchase skype credit. Or at least to prove that I have not used it. This is very much traceable if I can get the help from right people from Skype. I have not been able to locate a phone number to call the customer support. Please help me in this regard.
    Some  Background: I have filed a fraud case against the Bank that issued me the credit card and their investigation led to the conclusion that the purchase has been made from skype.com. I have not done any purchase. In fact I have not even registered by creedit card with my skype account yet. My purchase history is clean... But I need to provide more details to the Bank so they can continue the investigation and hence I need help from Skype support.

  • My credit card has been declined multiple times

    Everytime I try to download an app or music itunes tells me my credit card needs to be verified. When I type my information in it declines my card. I've tried several cards and it doesn't work on my Iphone 4s or my hp laptop.

    If there were purchases/tranactions made with this credit card and there was an issue with an outstanding balance that was not resolved - itunes will not allow you to change the payment method until such time as the issue has been resolved.
    You will want to call apple support talk with the itunes store about resolving the issue. Will first need to know how much it will cost to resolve the issue. Once you have purchased an iTunes gift card and logged that into your itunes store account that should resolve your issue.

    This evening my iTunes account decided that there was an issue with a previous item I'd downloaded and made me go to my account to re-enter my bank info as it was 'apparently' invalid and not accepted.
    Has anyone else had this? I have tried re-entering my bank info about 5 times and still every time it keeps saying payment method declined.
    There is nothing wrong with the card as I have made other purchases with that card online today.

    It's not a debit card, is it? The iTunes Store apparently no longer accepts debit cards. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

    If it is a debit card, you can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.

    If it's a true credit card, make sure the billing information you're entering matches the billing information on your card statement exactly. If you're certain that it does, contact the iTunes Store and request assistance.

    The Develop-Disabled message is usually for the CC version of LR that comes with PS as part of the Photography Plan for $10/month.
    A serial number would be for the non-CC version of LR.
    If you have purchased the non-CC version of LR, then uninstall the CC version, or whatever version of LR you have using your normal OS-uninstall procedures, then download and install the non-CC version of LR from the Adobe Updates page, version LR 5.7, and register with the serial number you have:

    You can't delete an account, and all of the account's downloads will remain tied to the account.
    On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account  - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

    Would be problems with purchases, billing, and redemption option.  It's not 100% exact to your issue, but it will get you to the right department.
    Go here https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do then select ITunes, then Store, then Purchases, Billing, and Redemption.  Then.. probably pick "My topic is not listed."

    Do you have enough funds in your bank account?
    otherwise iTunes sometimes black lists card if there are too many fradulent purchases
    Reason why they might black list a card is possibly you call in for alot of fradulent purchases
    One more reason can be because iTunes does actually limit the amount you can change payment methods
    Call AppleCare Phone support and have your call directed to iTunes Store

    The credit card which has been used is in no way assocaited with this Skype account or any other and never has been.
    For some strange reason, this seems to be the only way to report fraudulent activity from Skype, even though I am not a customer.
    Is this board post the only way to contact Skype about this matter?
