I can download new apps from the app store on my iPhone 5. When I try to update existing apps, I receive an error message with no other information -- Your Apple ID has been disabled.
This occurred when I was updating apps shortly after upgrading to iOS 7. Half of my 8 apps updated successfully and then I got this error. Since then, the update process is stuck, for lack of a better term. The same apps update on other devices (iPad) under the same account.
Why are so many people getting this message? Why can I log into every other Apple ID account interface successfully, reset my phone, and reset my Apple ID passwords but still not update apps on this single device? Why does this article everyone points to not help?

I really need some help here. I would like to say the APPLE staff has been helpful for me, but I am very disappointed in the "service" I have received. I have tried to reset my password, I have taken my phone to APPLE, they were rude and were no help, at all. I have always been very satisfied with my iPhone and iPad, but I am sad to say I am frustrated and discouraged.
I am unable to purchase music or apps, and whats more frustrating is the fact that I cannot even update the applications I currently have.I've tried that too. Everything I am being told to do isn't working.

If you rest it on your computer's iTunes then try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

I have 2 ipad 2s. On the newer one I could log in and update to IOS 5 withno problem. On the older one I get the message "Your Apple ID has been disabled." No other explanation. Why can I log in on one ipad and I'm disabled on the other?
Well, I spoke too soon. Yes, I'm using the same account on both iPads, but I just changed my password for the umpteenth time and now I get the disabled message on both iPads. Just yesterday I was able to upgrade one to IOS 5 but got the error message on the other. I'm getting more confused by the minute.

I think it was after I bought Itouch nano that my apple pg does not really work.
whenver i attempt to update, it keeps saying "your apple ID has been disabled" so i tried changing passwords hundreds times.
I called customer service but the call got lost several times on its way to technical support. so i quit.

My Apple ID was diabled. I reset it by answering secuirty questions, also reset through security email. I can login and changed pass. While I tried to download free apps. YOUR APPLE ID HAS BEEN DISABLED. poped up!
Anyone experienced similar case, please share with me.Most likely this was caused by a changeback.

I tried to update a few apps from my iPhone, and to install new applications from APPSTORE. But i got a message :" Your Apple ID has been disabled"!!!!!!

I ended up having them call me then was able to give them 1 of my secret questions right and they reset things so I could reset all my secret questions.
Try going into contact support and see if you can schedule a call. There seems to be some issues with peoples' id's and this update. iTunes thought that I'd never bought anything from my computer or device before, and I clearly had, so it's like it got confused. THen I tried to get my questions reset, but the mail never came, which is why I just got a phone call because I felt it was 'real person' time.
