When its around the holiday season the purchasing system some times gets a lil thrown off and wont recognize the gift card on the account. But its easy to get fixed.

I am attempting to comets an in-app purchase and each time I am re-routed to a page where they are asking me to update my credit card information, I do so and it informs me that my card has been declined. Is this the US store? How much is the item? Apple US store prices do not reflect sales tax which is added in the final steps of a sale. If your account credit does not cover the full cost, then you must have a bank card to charge the remainder of the balance. For whatever rason your bank card is being declined, so the sale cannot be finalized.

Why is it that when i want to buy something and i have money from an iTunes card on my account, it says its going to debit my purchase?

the numbers turn out grey next to my apple id and i wanted to buy i song but it said my account was going to be debited when i have $25 still on my iTunes acct from an iTunes gift card!

It is simply asking you to verify your account info. Select None for the CC.
It will still pay with your gift card balance.

So I need to buy a TV series on my family's account, and we want it just to charge the credit card and not the money from an iTunes Card that's already on the account. Is there any way to do this?

I am pretty sure it will always use the credit card unless payment method is set to none.
That has been my experience anyway.
They already have the money from the gift card so would rather collect from your credit card.

i have a monthly subsciption that allows free skype to skype call.why am i being charged on my phone credit when i call.Am calling Saudi to Saudi.Also the reception is crap,keeps breaking up,As for the computer to computer skype,this is a no go .Ihave a 4G dongel and they just cant hear me in england.Whats going on with skype.Before any one suggests computer fault,it only 4 weeks old with windows 8 and everything is on that should be on. That other device should only be my iPod touch.

Now, I don't have enough on said card to purchase anything. But this should matter as there is already $11.86 on my account!

My problem is slightly similar but with a twist. Any ideas anyone?
I've recently moved from Chicago, IL, USA, to the Netherlands (Europe). My iTunes account is valid for the American iTunes store.
Due to the fact that I have recently changed my billing addres from my American credit card to my current address in the Netherlands, so I will receive all my corresondence over here, I can't buy anything anymore in the American iTunes store. I have also bought myself a iPhone 4 in the Netherlands and when setting this up with my iTunes I got the message that I had to verify my funding source for the American iTunes account. When I put in the three number code on the back of the credit card, I get an error message as the billing address now no longer corresponds with the details of that account that the American iTunes account has.
When I want to change my country of residence on the American iTunes account to the Netherlands I get a warning message that all allowances will become void. That is not what I want as I currently have a credit of approx. $45 on my American iTunes account. Before I left the USA I also bought a number of American iTunes gift cards so I knew that I would be able to have some credit when accessing my American iTunes account from abroad. If however I am now forced to change my country of residence to the Netherlands I will loose the $45 credit and my American iTunes gift cards can not be used and are therefore a loss to me as well.
Any ideas for a solution for this problem? Is it possible to have an American iTunes account based purely on American iTunes gift cards for the time being and until I return to the USA and resume my American bank account with an American billing address?
Or is it possible to have my American iTunes allowance (once I enter all the iTunes gift cards) transferred to a Dutch iTunes account so I will be able to use the balance of the iTunes gift cards which I've already paid for.
Hope someone can help.
