• HT1222 I installed the most recent ITunes update after which Itunes no longer worked.. I received an error message Error 7 Windows 193. I did a system restore to eliminate the update.

Apple support had not responded to my requests for clarification. The update corrupted both ITunes and Office Outlook mobileme. The error message when I tried to start up I Tunes was Error 7 Windows 193. I un installed I Tunes and re installed the latest ver and encountered the same error message. I finally did a system restore. Was this a one time problem or is the update bad. In over 30 years I'd never had a problem with any Apple update.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

• ITunes 10.2.2 "error 7 (windows 193)"

I tried to download ITunes 10.2.2 and it says "error 7 (windows 193)". I downloaded the .net framework and everything and tried reinstalling it but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Did you reinstall all the associated software as well as itunes, dulce?
Often the 7 is caused by Apple Application Support trouble (in which case a repair install of Apple Application Support can help). But sometimes the issue is with QuickTime, or other necessary programs. So if you didn't do a complete uninstall/reinstall, and the repair install of Apple Application Support doesn't help, try the instructions from the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

• Itunes error 7 (windows 193)

Hi, am trying to reinstall itunes and keep getting this:- itunes error 7, windows error 193, something to do with the helper not starting. This is driving me nuts!!!!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Hello fjmartin,
It sounds like you are getting this error message when trying to open iTunes. I suggest using the troubleshooting from the following article named:
iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3074
If the issue persists I would next try the troubleshooting in the following article to help troubleshoot the issue further:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

• Error 7 (Windows 193)

I have gone through the process described to install the Itunes update. I have followed the steps provided in the forums and at the end of the installation process a window pops up with a message regarding mobile support update and asking me to verify administrator status. I am the only person who operates this compurter and I have full administrator status. I am starting to tear my hair out.

I too have tried every option that Apple says I should try, in order to be able to hear my OWN music that I purchase from them over the last 15 years or so, but now just gives me error messages.
As far as I can tell from going through their advice, is that Apple never considers that there can be something going wrong at their end of things. They believe that I can't remember my password, that I did something I wasn't supposed to do, etc., but there is no advice regarding what to do if their software malfunctions (even Microsoft can do that much)!
At this point, my position is that iTunes has stolen thousands of dollars worth of music from me, and is unwilling to take the rap. They just don't give a ****. Their arrogance is astonishing, and riding one the coat-tails of those who hate the mighty Microsoft has to end. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY WHEN YOUR SOFTWARE SCREWS UP, APPLE, MICROSOFT CAN NO LONGER BE THE REASON FOR YOUR LAZINESS AND LACK OF CUSTOMER CARE.

• Says Error is 'Bad Image' Error 7 (Windows 193)

When I try to get into iTunes this error message pops up. I've reinstalled iTunes, as well as tried every solution in the Troubleshooting section. I've had iTunes on my computer for quite sometime and it's only started doing this today. Any suggestions?

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Clean_reinstall
You may have a malware problem if you get unrelated pop-ups opening or are redirected to unrequested websites.
If that is the case then do a malware check with a few different programs.
Every program finds different malware, so you need to use more than one program to scan.
Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
