(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)

Dear sir
I have been charged by apple iTunes with out I download thinks' and how do I remove my credit card detailed from my apple iTunes account, thanks please help me.You've checked the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, and have you made any in-app purchases or have any auto-renewing subscriptions ? If not and you haven't added or changed your credit card details (when you do then a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the details are correct and valid, which should disappear within a few days) then you can contact iTunes Support via this page (we are fellow users on these forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

I run windows 7. Have been unable to open itunes since updating last week. I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled, and have checked run as administrator, but still can no open. I notice that there is now a shield with yellow and blue squares next to it, that i do not think were there before.
many thanks, Mary.
The ModName is ituneup.dll; the modver is 1.0.7.0.
Do you have the TuneUp plugin installed for your iTunes? If so, I think your copy is causing the issue here. Try the following document:

... does that help with the launch errors? -
"apple mobile device failed to start" "verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services" came up on windows XP upgrade to 11.1.4 and since have been unable to open itunes - uninstalled and tried reinstall to no avail - what to do ? Ken
I am having this same problem. I took Kappy advice on restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service, however that did not work. I got this message in a pop up window that came up immediately.
Windows could not start the Apple Mobil Device Service on local computer.
Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I have already uninstalled itunes, all the related programs and I cannot reinstall, this Apple Mobil Device message stops the install.
Can anyone please help? -

I have been trying to install iTunes several times, I keep receiving the same message when I open it:
iTunes.exe - system error
The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
You bet I have tried, numerous times, it keeps coming back and iTunes won't start.
Any idea?
Yevass.Hey I finally got an older vesion of itunes to work!!! 10.7 x64 for windows 7
After uninstalling all apple products even quicktime
I had to delete everything from (program files, and program files x64, program data,)
And all downloads from apple, and I went in to search deleted other stuff from apple, and itunes
But definently not my itunes library and Playlist
Down loaded 10.7 x64 for windows 7, but checked (do not start when done)
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
I ran geek tech tool box same as reg cure pro, also PC Tools registry cleaner, and CC Cleaner
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
And wallah... It finally works, and I Love the older version anyways.

I am unable to update latest version of Itune, I get error R6034 C runtime library incorrect. My windows are up to date and I have been able to access itune until today and now I don't have it.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I have been trying to uninstall several extensions for firefox. I'm told by the Add-Ons window that these extensions will be uninstalled when I restart firefox, but they come back every time I restart. I've tried clearing the extensions cache from my firefox profile and it does not work. Following the steps in all of the active questions regarding this issue among other users have yielded no results. Nothing currently on the help site (which I've combed through for the last three hours) has helped.
Most of the extensions I'm now trying to uninstall are old ones that stopped functioning/being compatible with one of the more recent updates of firefox. The rest are toolbars I've never used because they're unsightly and clutter up my screen
* What I wound up doing was installing the newest of the newest versions of firefox (it's at 5.0 or something now, I think). That just made all the plugins, add-ons, and extensions I wanted to get rid of obsolete and it auto-removed them on its own. What I wound up doing was installing the newest of the newest versions of firefox (it's at 5.0 or something now, I think). I do really appreciate you taking the time out to try and offer some solutions though. Thank you very much for your effort! -
I have been unable to update iTunes on my Windows PC.
I have been unable to update iTunes on my Windows PC. An error message keeps coming up saying a .dll is missing. My daughter has experienced the same issue with her PC. No problems with my iMac or iOS devices. I thought I may have some corrupted files, so I deleted iTunes and attempted to download it. The same error message came up, and now I don't have iTunes on my PC. Has anyone experienced a problem with an update of iTunes on a Windows based PC?

You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process. -
