Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I recently tried to downlad the itunes update but it would not install properly and now I have no access to itunes and all my music. my itunes was working fine until i tried downloading the most current version of itunes, now when i try to get on my itunes library, it wont boot up and has error codes, error 7, and( windows error 126). it also says that MSVCR80.dll is missing from my computer,please re install itunes. but when I try to re install it it will not install on my computer.

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

That one is a DirectX 8 module and might not be included in the most recent DirectX 9 redistributable available from Microsoft. If it's been installed as part of a partial DirectX 8 install (as part of a game for example), that can cause the issue. Can you track down a full DirectX 8 redistributable? If so, if you install that, does that clear up the iTunes error? -

If you bought the iphone in the US and it is locked to a specific carrier, then you can't use a different sim (from another carrier). Is this your situation?
