I've installed and uninstalled itunes a number of times. I downloaded Itunes to my wifes computer with no problem. I checked her windons features against mine and they are the same.I'd rather use my own computer if I can get this problem resolved.

Hi!! I finally found a solution
I´m Sure this one will work for everyone
-First you have to uninstall all Apple Software using Control Panel
-Download Unlocker Software from softsonic heres the link http://tinyurl.com/3e8gj2h
    or google it
    -Install Unlocker
-Go to Start and type this in search: %programdata%
-ProgramData window will open, so find apple folders
-Right click in each apple folder and find Unlocker in the options
-Choose Delete each apple folders (with unlocker program)
-Go to My PC, C Local Disk and find Program Files
-Look for Apple folders and Delete them (with Unlocker)
-Find a Folder (in Program Files) called Common Files
-Delete all Apple Folders (in common files) with Unlocker
    - Empty your trash can (thats what i did)
    -Reboot
    -Install Itunes
Note: You can Reboot or use Safe Mode to use Unlocker if it doesnt work.
    ....and that's All

  • Itunes install issues error 7 - Windows error 193

    Gents,
I am using Windows 7, had iTunes for years no issues I couldn't solve myself, this time I need help.
When the last update of iTunes came on, I tried to update my version but couldn't do the update (I don't remember the error message details, it just said that I had to re-install iTunes).
So I cleared ITunes and all Apple related softwares from my computer (yes in the recommended order, and yes I rebooted in between) tried to re-installed (numerous times) and I always get the same error messageS:
"Couldn't install ITunes Error 7 (Windows error 193)" and also "ITunes helper was not installed correctly"
When running the installer I get the error message "Apple Mobile device failed to start", even if I ignore this message during the install, I am unable to open iTunes once the install is done. (the install goes through and says install finished).
Note: I also tried to "fix" during the install, it didn't work.
    Context / Trials / Notes:
    - I tried to "repair" the Apple Mobile Device in programs (unsuccessfully)
    - I had 2 Apple Mobile Device services, so after a complete un-install and reboot, I manually (command prompt) remove the last service
    - In all my un-install attempts I went on the C: drive and made sure ALL folders were cleared of apple / iTunes traces. Delete ITunes setup file, empty the recycle bin of course, reboot etc)
    - Windows is up-to-date - No viruses (using Malwarebyte/ AVG & Spybot).
I am at a loss, spent a lot of hours on the computer and on forums, but couldn't find the fix.
I would greatly appreciate your help, this is getting on my nerves and I really need to change the music on my iphone ! (lol)
    thank you in advance

If the above hasn't helped then for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
Disabling your AV during installation may sometimes help.

  • Itunes Error 7 Windows Error 126

After having to remove iTunes from my computer, I have tried to reinstall it several times without luck getting itunes error 7 windows error 126. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling at least five times and keep getting the same message! I really dont know what to do and can't put new songs on my ipod without itunes! Anyone know a solution?

I am loosing already many hours to solve the problem after trying to install iTunes: Error 7 - Windows error 126 - I uninstalled iTunes + components + Quicktime - Restarted - Closed Firewall + Anti-virus - please knows somebody how to solve this issue? Thanks ahead.

  • HT1923 After updating Itunes it stopped working. I removed Itunes and reinstalled and i am getting the foloowing errors MSVcr80.dll not found and Itunes not installed correctly error 7 (window errror 126) How do I fix this?

Yesterday I updated my Itunes account and it stopped working.   I tried installing itunes version 11.1.4  and once done it came back with 2 error messages MsvCR80.dll was not found and I tunes was not installed correctly Error 7 (windows error 126)    I have removed Itunes completely and redownloaded several times with the same result.  Is there an easy fix or can I download an older version of Itunes that works?

None of the solutions mentioned in this forum work for me. I've not ever had a problem with your software before. I installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times. No itunes directories exist. I've uninstalled everything labled Apple on my pc withe the same results. The problem is with your software not Windows.

  • HT1926 Have the same problem as many other users: tried to update iTunes on Windows 7 today; first message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 1

I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open.  First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

  • ITunes Error 7 (Windows error 127) after installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows

After installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows (latest build), I get an error pop-up saying:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes
    Error 7 (Windows error 127)
I've gone thru the uninstall, reboot and reinstall process three or four times now. Still nothing.
Furthermore, after clicking okay to the error, it continues to pop up on it's own every 45 seconds or so.
There was one other error I came across after trying to launch iTunes after installation.
    See both error messages here:
    http://screencast.com/t/DSg4PpKF5BeX

Brilliant. Thanks a lot. I've wasted a couple of hours on this nasty bug, & trying all the other suggestions across various threads again and again.
I now find I had the same registry entry hanging on, despite uninstalling & wiping everything again and again. Having now deleted this key, (I don't even have an iPod), & iTunes 11.1.14 now opens at long last.
But WHY is this bug not fixed? Enough people are suffering with this across the forum. WHERE is Apple support on this?
It should have been added to their page at
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
    by now, why hasn't it???
    It's not good enough!
    Re:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls]
    "C:\\Program Files\\iPod\\bin\\iPodService.exe"=dword:80000000
AHA! This entry for iPodService.exe still exhisted.  So I had no folders on the PC, no installs on the PC and no services running.... BUT this was still in the Registry.
Step 5 - Delete only the Registry entry above.  NO REBOOT
    Step 6 - Reinstall iTunes64.exe

When installing iTunes on my Windows XP I get an error message "Service Apple Mobile Device (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services".  I don't know what this means and I do not know how to resolve it.  Can you advise please?

  • Install ITunes on A Windows 7 64 bit and get error message

I am trying to install ITunes on A Windows 7 64bit and get the following error microsoft.vc80.crt,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publickeytoken="1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86"HRESULT:0x8007054F

Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version? There are two versions of iTunes. One is for 64 bit processor architecture, one is for 32 bit processor architecture.
Please download the 64 bit version and test it! In my view you try to install the 32 bit version.
    Kind regards!
    Philipp
EDIT: I am sure you currently try to install the 32 bit version! It doesn't work on a 64 bit system. Are you sure that you use Windows with 64 bit?

  • ITunes was not installed correctly Error 7 (Windows error 998)

    HI
I had a Trojan and used Malwarebytes to get rid of it and now everything is fine but for some reason everytime I try to open Itunes I get the message ITunes was not installed correctly Error 7 (Windows error 998)
I have done various searches on this issue and have so far done the following :-
Complete uninstall of Itunes, Quick Time and all associated programs and then a fresh install. I have also updated Microsoft.net framework. I have run a microsoft IE8 repair tool and have also made another windows user account to see if it was just my own user account.
None of this has helped and I am still getting the error. Do I really have to do a complete format on my PC or is there anyone out there that can help?

I've found something that may or may not be relevant.
Whenever I run CCleaner after installing iTunes I get the following registry errors:
    Missing TypeLib Reference    IUserHelper - {19D52A9A-379C-4720-BA00-3D396ECD24D7}    HKCR\Interface\{915DA835-02FE-4953-92FA-624BDF5D85AB}
    Missing TypeLib Reference    IiPodManagerUI - {19D52A9A-379C-4720-BA00-3D396ECD24D7}    HKCR\Interface\{D775A119-EAC2-4F28-B06E-8AC16F2695DA}
These always come back when I try and 'Repair' iTunes from the control panel.
    Ideas anyone?

I had to reinstall my Itunes account and after installing received this error: This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
The other error message that displayed after I tried to reinstall it was "Itunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall Itunes Error 7 (Windows error 126).
Any assistance with correcting this matter is greatly appreciated.  My ipod is fine, I just need to reinstall Itunes on my computer.
    Thanks,
