HT1923 removing Apple Mobile Services from Windows 7. Has it comes to the end of uninstalling it reverses the action.

I'm trying to reinstall Itunes. when I run iTunes64setup.exe it returns this message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."  I have admin priviliges, I try to start 'Apple Mobile Device' in services and I receive message Windows could not start the AMD service on local computer.  Error 1053: the service did not respong to the start or control request in a timely fashion.  I also tried uninstalling AMD at first it looks like it is in the process of uninstalling but just has it gets to the end it reverses all the uninstall process and stop.  If I ignore it, I get runtime error. Program C:\program files (x86)\ iTunes\iTunes.exe  R6034  An application has made an attempt to load the c runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for  more information.  How can I get this to work.  this all started by updating the the newer version of Itunes.  can someone help?

I'm having the same problem. I can't find a solution either. Also, when I restart my computer, I get a message saying that a program has failed to start and is missing a ".dll" file.

I installed Nik:s suite of plug-ins for LR5 but for some reason not all of them were installed. In the end I uninstalled all of the Nik programs from my Mac but before I reinstalled them I opened LR5 again to check. Under "photo" and "edit in" the plug-ins were still presented but no programs opened, of course. after reinstalling the plug-ins one of the programs appeared twice in the list but not the others. I´m going to reinstall them again and I´m wondering if there is anyway of erasing the links to the plug-ins under "photo" and "edit in" ???

Wow that was really quick, thank you so much.  Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it.  I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names.  isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)
either way, ill do what you suggested to the best of my abilities and thank you so much for answering my questions, i can't even open the program as its incompatible and find out the info from that) so I'm in a bit of a pickle and your response was so thorough and it didn't seem to be posted long enough to even write a well researched response, thanks, all the best,

  • HT1923 I can not remove Apple mobile devices support although I follow the sequence?

While updating itunes I got an error message for "C runtime". After several atempts I decided to remove the itune and reinstall it, but the component " Apple mobile Devices support" did not uninstall ? I can not install itunes. What can be done?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • Apple mobile service doesn't work

    hi,
from some reason when I plug my iphone 6 to my computer, I get this message-"Apple mobile device service could not be started because an unknown error occurred (1058)".and then I get a follow up message-"this iphone cannot be used because the apple mobile device service is not started".
I followed the orders in the website how to start the apple mobile service, but I get this message-"the apple mobile device service on local computer started and then stopped.some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs".
I tried again and again to start the apple mobile service but it's just stop in the middle and I get this message. I reinstalled itunes twice but it's still doesn't work.
    please help me I'm desperate!

    Hey oommeerr,
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your iPhone not being seen in iTunes because of the Apple Mobile Device not working. When you reinstalled iTunes, did you uninstall iTunes first? Take a look at the article below and uninstall iTunes and its associating software in the order that it lists and then reinstall iTunes. Let me know if this works out for you.

FATAL Error... When trying to remove Apple Mobile Device Support (AMDS) on my windows xp.
We've made some progress with some of those in recent days, Stop. It looks like (with some of them), the trouble is caused by trouble with the HKEYCURRENTUSER registry keys associated with your usual XP user account.
If that's what is afoot, the following technique may be of some assistance.
Head into your User Accounts control panel and create a new user account with full administrative rights. Log out of your normal account and log into the new account. (Don't use fast user switching to move between accounts.)
Inside the new account, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, and attempt to uninstall AMDS from there.
Does the uninstall go through without the fatal error in the new user account?
If so, *staying in the new user account,* do a complete uninstall of iTunes and related componentry as per:
[Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925]
(You'll need, in particular, to do the reinstall of iTunes from inside the new account. Experience of the last two cases of this indicates that if you try the reinstall from inside the usual user account, AMDS just silently fails to install.)
If everything seems to have reinstalled correctly, log out of the new account, and log back into your usual account. Try launching iTunes in your usual account. Does it launch properly in there now?

  • How to remove Nokia Phone Browser from Windows Exp...

    Hello :-)
This is registry hacking and your lawn's going to curl up and die right in front of you if you do that. OK?
OK -- if you're happy with that, here's information, based on experience with Windows XP Pro SP2 and Nokia PC Suite 6.7 Release 22. It will probably work with other versions of Windows and PC Suite.
It should be possible remove Nokia Phone Browser from Windows Explorer by going to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideMyComputerIcons\
and creating a Dword Value named
    {416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}
    with data of 1.
    That didn't work for me so I went to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\ and changed the name of {416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}
(by adding a - on the end) to
    {416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}-.
That worked and it's easy to undo the change.

This is incorrect. You can turn iMessage off and unregister your phone number from the service.  Actually getting that done, however, is difficult.

I wish Apple would just have an "Unregister Phone #" option within the Messages settings, and possibly within your Apple Supprt Profile.
