HT1923 Why won't my playlist synch to my ipod classic as I have it listed?

I have been synching playlist to my ipod classic with no prob.  Today it will not synch the songs as I have them listed.? Also I can not change the order of the songs. What is the problem

Sorry this might be too late of a fix for you but I had a similar issue. I created a new playlist that wouldn't sync to my iphone no matter what I tried (reset my phone, restarted itunes). I even created a new playlist and deleted the original new playlist but still it wouldn't sync.
What finally worked for me was in itunes when it says to sync all songs or selected playlists (I usually have selected playlists checked). I uncheched everything and synced to my phone so it wiped off all the music. Then I checked the music box again and re-synced and then all my playlists - including the new one that wouldn't originally sync - were all on my iphone.

  • Itunes is no longer synching with my ipod classic. I have changed computers a few times. itunes knows it's my ipod, but won't synch. Possibly something I need to do with the network?

I haven't been able to synch for a very long time. I'm finally tired enough of the same music constantly on my ipod that I'm trying again to find some help. I'm computer literate, but not a tech person by any stretch.
According to itunes, I'm not due for a software upgrade until later this month and yet it seems also to reject my request to check for software upgrades. Which seems like there isn't a connection. The fact that it says I'm not due yet makes me think it does happen.
One thing I've gotten lately is the message "itunes isn't my default" and when I go to make it and check everything for itunes and nothing for windows media, nothing changes and I get the message again. This morning I checked "All" and will see if that makes a difference.
I was unable to connect to itunes store until this week. For some reason it worked and I was able to download a movie.
Apple says I have no coverage for help from them -- of course.
    Anyone?

Sorted it out. • Why won't my Playlist load onto my iPod Nano

Hi, I have been given a 1GB iPod nano as a present but being computer iliterate cannot figure out how to put music from iTunes on the iPod. I have, using CD's & some songs from iTunes Stores built a playlist of my favourite tracks. However, although my list has 95 songs on it, it will only load 22 of these onto my iPod. What am I doing wrong !! I am using iTunes 7.02 so have the most up-to-date software but don't know why I can't get the rest of my songs onto the iPod. If someone can tell me in english how to do this, I would be most grateful ! I have also tried deleting the songs from the iPod and starting again but iTunes won't allow me to delete these either! Thanks

Hi, thanks for you reply. I thyink I have included the info you wanted!
In iTunes under the import tab, it says:
On CD Insert: Ask to import CD
    Import Using: AAC Encode
    Setting: High Quality (128kbs)
Details: 64 kbps (mono)/128 kbps (stereo)
underneath this, the 1st 3 boxs are ticked.
When I right-click on some of the songs in itunes here is the response:
1 of the songs that did load onto my ipod (orignally on my old MP3 player):
    Size 2.2MB / Format MPEG-1 , Layer 3
1 of the songs that did load onto my ipod from a CD:
Size 3.1MB / Kind AAC Audio File
I purchased 2 songs from iTunes - neither of which went onto my iPod, Here is the info for 1 of these:
Size 3.5MB / Kind Protected AAC audio file
1 of the songs that did not load onto my ipod from a CD:
Size 4.5MB / Kind AAC audio file (I copied 3 songs from this particular album and 1 went onto my iPod but this one and another did not.)
I never had this problem with my old MP3 Player. I presume there is a way around this with iTunes ?? Otherwise, will be reverting back to my old MP3 !

  • Why won't a playlist downloaded on a new blank music disc have any audio on it?

I download one of my playlists from iTunes to a new blank music cd. ITunes tells me I am successful but when I go to play it in a cd player (car, truck, portable etc.) ther is no audio. This has happened many times. Suggestions? This is music I purchased fro iTunes and I am downloading out of my iTunes library!

iDVD mpg-2 compresses everything. The size of your raw content in MB isn't significant - what IS significant is the running time in minutes. iDVD can put up to 60 minutes of content on a single-layer disc in 'Best Performance' encoding mode or up to 120 minutes ion the 'High Quality' of 'Professional Quality modes.
BTW, 4.7 GB is the advertising capacity in decimal form; as far as a computer is concerned, the capacity is 4.37 GB.

  • Why won't album artwork appear on I pod Classic?

Why won't album artwork appear on I Pod Classic?

I have had this problem since iOS4 and I recently (mostly) resolved it in iOS6.
    1. First make sure you do not 'Sign In' into iTunes store.
    2. I used playlists to resolve the issue. Create a playlist with one song, preferably one that does not have any album art.
    3. Create another playlist with all the songs you want to add.
    4. With your iTouch/iPhone attached open iTunes. Go to Device->Music. Under Sync Music:choose "Selected playlists, albums and genres". Choose the one song playlist from those shown. Click on the Sync(Apply) button. This will delete all of the songs.
    5. Once the deletion is complete choose the playlist with all the songs. Click on the Apply(Sync)button. This will install all the songs again and with album artwork.
    6. Once all the songs have been installed click on all the playlists that you want to add (no new songs) and click on the Sync(Apply) button again.
You should now have your songs with album artwork and playlists installed. Hope this helps. The song in the one song playlist won't have any artwork even if it is included. There were some albums whose artwork were not installed. I had a 95% success rate. As I said, it mostly solves the problem for me.

  • My new macbook air is not synching with my iPod classic anymore

any ideas on why my new macbook air is not synching with my iPod classic anymore?  It used to just show up on iTunes but it's not there now

iTunes will only transfer music from the iPhone that were bought at Apple's iTunes store. You'll need to use a third party program such as Senuti to transfer music you got from other sources.

  • Why will my iPad 2 not recognize any iPod cables? I have tried two different cables in both the wall and in my laptop, but it will not register that it is receiving power, nor will the laptop recognize that they are connected.

Why will my iPad 2 not recognize any iPod cables? I have tried two different cables in both the wall and in my laptop, but it will not register that it is receiving power, nor will the laptop recognize that they are connected.

Crizzo is right, the best way to charge is with the included power block. That said, the USB cords are interchangable as far as an of us know. (just not power bricks, iPhone and iPod bricks put out 5W of power, the iPad wants 10W and will always say 'not charging' if plugged into less power than it requires even though it will charge, just very slowly)
    If you have tried to charge your iPad - with the iPad charger - with multiple cables and multiple computers and get no joy then it's time to head to the apple store and have them check it out. The 30 pin USB port can go bad - mine did - and it's a manufacturer's defect (unless there's any sort of obvious damage) and should be covered under the warranty;

  • Why can't I put movies on my iPod Classic

I have the current generation of iPod classic and I want to put the Godfather trilogy that I have recently purchased from the itunes store onto the ipod, but everytime I do it tells me that I am not authorized to play them on this computer. I have deauthorized and reauthorized this computer with the account that I used to purchase the movies and still it will not let me put them on my classic. The ipod and itunes are completely up to date. Please help me if anyone can. thank you.

The files are fine because I can watch them on my computer without difficulties. I just don't understand why they wouldn't be compatible on the ipod classic if I purchased them from the iTunes Store with the same apple ID that is used across all my devices, which are all authorized to play my iTunes media. I mean the error that comes up is saying that my computer is not authorized to play them, even though I just watched one of them yesterday.
    So confusing...

  • Why won't my pictures synch to my phone?, Why won't my pictures synch to my phone?

I've been trying to synch my picture folders from my MacBook to my iPhone 4 but it just won't work.  When iTunes is open, it shows that all the folders I want are checked off, but after synching the phone, I still don't have them in the photos app.  Is there something simple that I'm just overlooking?  Has anyone else had a problem like this?  Also, sometimes when I look at the photos app, the "Camera Roll" folder is scrolled all the way to the top, beyond the text. It makes it impossible to touch the folder and open it.  I find that if I restart the phone, that usually helps, but nevertheless it's annoying.

I just purchased Dreamweaver Cs5 and I am trying to convert pictures into HTML coding to add to the main page of my website http://www.glitterdivaz.comHowever, what is happening is that a box with a clickable link appears but the images doesn't. What appears is a box with a red X at the top corner. Can someone please help me solve this issue please? Thanks in advance.....

  • Why won't my iTouch synch my music? Barring that, why won't it restore?

I updated iTunes.  Then tried to synch my iTouch.  It would not synch my music.  After several tries, I attempted to restore to the original configuration.  It backed up just fine (as far as I could tell) and moved on to the next step.  After an hour and a half of the graph was stuck about a cm from the left of start postion.  It will not even show up on the iTunes now.  It won't restore.  Anyone else having this problem?  Anyone have a viable suggestion? I don't have a sledge hammer at the moment, but I am at the point where I might use it if I had it.  Additional info:  iTouch 2nd gen, latest iOS installed, PC user (win 7, 64 bit)

Thank you for your responce to my question.  Your responce was part of the solution (so far). The iPod got stuck on the screen with the Apple on black.  It wasn't recognized by the iTunes at that point.  I couldn't shut the device off either.  The buttons were never the gretest on the thing.  My spouse played with the ipod for a bit and finally got it to turn off.  Turning it back on brought up the connect to iTunes screen and iTunes successfully found the device.  I then tried to restore it.  The first effort resulted in the dialogue box saying it wasn't restored due to and error (6).  So I tried again after turning of my personal firewall.  It's still restoring aps.  I've my fingers crossed.  Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

  • Why won't my podcasts load to my ipod

I reset my ipod a week ago and now the podcasts won't load.  The podcasts are visible in the iTunes software and when I press sync it looks like there are loats more things going to be loaded, but then the graphice at the bottom of the iTunes page goes back down again and won't load the stuff.  The items are all ticked in the iTunes dialogue, so i don't understand why they won't load.  I tried iCloud but went back to the pc loading as well but can't see how that can make any difference.
    Anybody?
    Skeerwud

You said "Then when you run an update it just goes back as it was. Any ideas?" What does this mean?
You can only sync apps from the one syncing computer you can have.
Did you setup the iPod via wifi?
Have you tried restoring from backup on this computer/iTunes library?
The app assume the apps are compatible with your iPod
