Are you able to do the download if you use a different browser? (Firefox, etc?)

Have you tried restarting the iPad? You will more than likely be starting over again with the setup process but you may be able to use the "later" option if you start all over again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • I cannot access iMatch.  I keep getting an error code -1202 from the iTunes store.  How do I fix this problem?

I keep getting an error code -1202 from the iTunes store when trying to access the items from the "quick links" and I cannot access iMatch. Any suggestions?

Please look to the right of the screen where it says "More Like this" you may find the resolution there.

  • ITunes always can't download an update because there are errors.  If I remove iTunes completely from my computer, will all my songs I dowloaded from CD's, pictures, e-books be gone?

Each time I try to download an update for iTunes, I can't because it tells me iTunes on my computer has errors and nothing I try can repair the errors.  It gives me the choice to try to repair, but of course it can't repair because it always says it can't repair, the other choice is to remove iTunes from my computer.  If I remove iTunes and reinstall it, will my music, pictures, e-books still be there or will it be empty?
I'm afraid to remove iTunes because I don't want to lose my data.  On the other hand, I think I will have to remove and re-install to have the most up-to-date version with no errors.
Has anyone completely removed iTunes and reinstalled, and if so, was everything still there?  Especially CD's I have imported, etc.?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Errors preventing X from loading

When i run startx, I receive two errors, which read:
(EE) Failed to load module "speedo" (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) AIGLX: Screen O is not DRI capable
as best I recall, AIGLX is for ATI cards, and setting vesa to be the driver should prevent this from being an issue, which i tried.
I have no clue what speedo is, and i've searched here and on the rest of the al's great internet, and am yet to find what this is. I searched X.org an's wiki and got zero hits. How can that even be possible?
Im just trying to get X to work. Any suggestions will be appreciated and tried.
    Miesnerd

    Hey there!
Well, although I can't remember having heard of the module "speedo" so far, I would try the following:
It it likely that X is trying to load this module because it finds a load command in the config file.
Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf in your favourite editor and look for a section called Module (Section "Module").
If there is a line in this section looking similar to Load "speedo", try to comment this line out.
(This is done with the '#' character (#Load "speedo").
Then try to restart the X server and look what happens. Because X is throwing another error with AIGLX it may be necessary to comment this line out, too (something like #Load "aiglx" or so).
    Hope this helped a bit.
    Cheers,

  • Apple application support Error 2 windows with lastest upgrade download is preventing me from opening itunes, unistalled, reinstalled 3 times, please help.

I recently downloaded the most current version of itunes automatically, got an error during the install process and was unable to open my existing itunes after that occurrance.  I unistalled and reinstalled 3 times. Says installed finished but when I try to open itunes I get the following pop up.
Apple Application Support required.  Error 2 (windows error)
Please help, I'm a Ballroom Dancer and need my music back.
    Thanks.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Unknown Error 13010 prevents me from opening itunes.

I was using itunes, then closed the application. Then I was typing a message in msn messenger, and the window saying that itunes was saving the library popped up while I was typing and it's like typing while that popped up did something to it, but that saving window has no buttons to push. Then windows tell me (in a window on the bottom right side of the screen) telling me the data could not be saved and was lost (external drive where the library and everything is located) mentioning the file and to try and save it elseqhere E:\$Mft but how can I do this when I don't know what the f this file is and how to access it or do anything with it? If I click on the message, it disappears, and if I try to open itunes, I get the error message 13010, to which I can only say OK, and after that, I get the Windows warning that the data could not be saved and the Mft thing again. Vicious circle.
    What the **** happened?
After a while I notice that, kinda like windows said in the window, the connection to the drive was lost (but HOW???), because I can't access anything in the external drive. So I unplugged it and plugged it back and now it works.
    But what happened?
    (I've got itunes 9)

"It turns out I was working with a corrupt ePub file. I was able to install a different German edition on my iPad with no problem. I'm not sure if the "-23" refers to a bad ePub file but if you see this during a synchronization you should also see another message referring to the file that caused the error. Check the source of that file to make sure it's legit. If possible, download a new version and see if the problem goes away. That's what worked for me."

  • After a notice of update, I was unable to use iTunes. It said I had a missing dll file and a Windows error 7. I removed iTunes and tried to reinstall. I selected the download items off the apple site. It says thank you but still not there.

Having problems downloading iTunes. After an update notice, I was unable to open iTunes. I de-installed and attempted to reinstall it and it still won't open.
The first error duirn the update was a dll file missing, then a Windows error 7. The screen on the Apple site say  Thank you for downloading, but still not there.

A msi file is short for microsoft installer.  It normally is for installation, removal, and maintenance for a program. So iTunes.msi would be used for the updating of the program.  For some reason it isnt finding this so we can't update, install, or remove it.
From what I have seen windows installer cleanup utility solved related problems before.
I found this forum about removing and installing a new iTunes.  It was about someone who was trying to isntall iTunes, and was looking for msi file and asked for help.   Using this should allow you to be able to install iTunes.  It won't give you the msi file but will allow you to isntall iTunes over again.
    This was what was said.
Another option in case you can't get an msi. (Or even if you can ... the msi's mentioned in the messages may be damaged rather than missing.)

  • "Original file not found" error after copying from removable hard drive

ok, I have all my itunes library on a removable hard drive, and I want to copy it all to my new computer. so, I plugged the hard drive in, copied all the files into itunes, and when I played one of them, it worked. then, I tried to play it again, but an error message came up saying "The song 'Re-hash'could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like tyo locate it?" and I clicked 'Yes'. then a browser came up, where i could select either the files itunes music, itunes library, or itunes music library. none of them work. help please?

This worked although it was very clumsy (we had almost 3,000 files that had to be deleted and redownloaded. I could not figure out a way to sort all of the 'exclamation points' together so it took an hour or so to scan through the entire library list and delete each file individually and/or in small groups.) The download was very straight forward. In my experience (with iTunes match turned on,) we did NOT loose our playcounts.
Going through all those files I noticed several common themes that may have triggered the problem: 1) multiple artists, 2) special characters in the song title, artist and/or album name - particularly umlauts (we have quite a few german songs in our library.) 3) very long title, artist and/or album names.
I hope that someone from Apple is aware of these issues and working on them....

  • -208 ERROR preventing me from listening to purchases!

ITunes 6 now asks me to authorise each song (purchases made over the last 12 months) and then I re-enter username and password and then I am told I have a new authorisation. (1/5)
Then I get a -208 error, unknown error occurred. Please try again later.
    NO!!!
I've had this problem for over 24 hours and what makes me REALLY REALLY MAD is that I've paid for hundreds of singles and albums and recently videos and just because of Apple's Bugs - I'm not allowed to listen to my purchased AND DOWNLOADED SONGS!
The songs downloaded should NOT DEPEND ON HOW THE SERVER IS WORKING!!!
My machine is the only one authorised and now apparently I need to authorise my machine just to sample songs aswell.
Maybe Apple you should be a little less hasty trying to RUSH releases (version 6 - how rushed is that!) and make sure the software works.
    But most importantly -
IT IS WRONG AND IMMORAL TO PREVENT YOUR CUSTOMERS FROM BEING ABLE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC THEY HAVE PURCHASED AS AND WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO PULL THE SERVER DOWN OR DO MAINTENANCE.
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE - START CARING ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS.
    Angry!

After having checked my other computer for what files had been altered or created this last day (during thich i had successfully authorized it for playback in preview and for purchased music) i found the file "SC Info.sidb" under "X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info". This appears to hold your authorization keys or some other magic stuff. By deleting this files parent folder, iTunes was forced into asking me to authorize this computer again for playback, with the difference this time that there were some other options on the authorization dialog, just like there should be when for the first time authorizing a computer to play protected iTunes content. When I then entered my information as always and was expecting to see the same -208 error, i was instead greeted with sweet opera that I had been longing to listen to.
A minute or so later, I found this article on the net:
    http://nslog.com/archives/2003/05/02/authorizingitunes_scinfo.php
It describes the same problem, but for users of macs, but the same principle applies to windows machines. The only thing fifferent is the paths to the key database. "I:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info"
Try the same procedure and hopefully your iTunes copy should work again. Just remember to make sure all iTunes related processes are shut down first before trying this. It might not matter, but that is what I did.

  • DAC parameter error preventing task from running

    Hi All,
Please see below this error which is preventing a SIL from running, I've never seen this one before, not sure if it's a config error or programatic/environment related.
I'm particularly puzzled by the file name being repeated three times?
This is the last task in a small batch of custom tasks, all the others have run through OK.
Error Message : Usage error. You passed the wrong parameters to pmcmd.
              Command Used: pmcmd startworkflow -sv BIA_IS_DEV01 -d domain_udapbia3 -u Administrator -p **** -f Custom_SILOS -lpf /u01/oracle/biapps/dac/Informatica/parameters/DataWarehouse.DataWarehouse.Custom_SILOS.Custom_SIL_ InboundCalls.txt Custom_SIL_ InboundCalls.txt Custom_SIL_ InboundCalls.txt
    Thanks,
    Ed

In the pmcmd command workflow name followed by parameter file.
Just in case check the task config in dac.
There might be chances for copying twice for task command like 'Custom_SIL_ InboundCalls.txt' and that is repeating and the most important to check is your task name or workflow name having space after SIL_
If above are correct then try this
replace -lpf with -paramfile in file infa_command.xml and try to run the load
for more details read the file comments from file.
You can find the file from location orahome\10gR3_1\bifoundation\dac\conf\infa_command.xml

  • Error 2503 and 2502 removing iTunes 8

Every time I've tried to update to version 9 of iTunes + Quicktime i get about 4 instances of error messages saying:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2503.
it then proceeds to give this message for error code 2502 and does this for both errors another 4 times (5 times total) during the attempted installation before telling me that it was unable to complete and the original version would be restored.
i tried downloading the exe and had the same problem there. So i then attempted to remove all of iTunes 8 and quicktime through the add/remove function in windows, and got the same error message! so whatever it is has to do with iTunes 8.2.1.6 as well as quicktime. i can't get rid of either of them. and help would be great

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • An error prevents TOC from being displayed on IE8

    Hello,
I am using RH 9.0.1 and IE 8.0.7. When I compile a help project in webhelp format, the TOC is not displayed in the output result. A yellow error icon is displayed in the lower left corner of the browser window with the following information:

The same occurs in Google Chrome. Does anybody know how this could be fixed?
    Thank you in advance,
    Tony

    Hello Wiliam,
    Thank you for your reply.
You are right, the search and index are not working either. I knew about the Chrome issue when opened locally. If I follow the instructions on the website you mentioned, the webhelp will show the contents, but not the TOC, and the Index and Search do not work either. The same problem occurs on Firefox 3.6.3. I am not using Chrome Frame in Internet Explorer.
Basically, what I get is a blank TOC, a blank Index and the Search does not work. When I click on the "Error on page" yellow icon I get the error message I posted above. Any suggestions?
I've used RH 7 before and I never had this issue.

  • When I try to watch movies on FF using Netflix I get a private browsing error preventing me from doing so even though I do not have private browsing activated/turned on. Solutions?

When I try to play a movie on Netflix I get an error telling me that Firefox's private browsing mode is restricting Netflix from storing settings on my computer.
The suggests were to click the Tools menu and select private browsing. My private browsing was not activated.
Or to click the Tools menu at the top of the browser and select Options, then Privacy and then Remember history. This setting was also as it should.
Additionally, I went into the history and made sure the permanent private browsing was unchecked and I cleared all cookies. Still Netflix is not working.
I called Netflix and they say that everything is streaming correctly from their end and it is this computer. I can watch Netflix on other computers or my TV on this network but not this computer.
I am at a loss at how to disengage private browsing when the private browsing does not appear to be engaged.

I had this problem as well, just right click on the error, and click Silverlight, go to the Application Storage tab, and check enable application storage located on the bottom left corner. Your movies should play after that. If that doesn't work uninstall then reinstall Silverlight, make FF remember history and make sure application storage is enabled on Silverlight.

  • Has Apple done something recently to prevent iphone3 from using itunes (11.02) features?

Recently, after updating to iTunes 11.02 on my imac OS10.6.8,  it will no longer sync with music or playlists on my iphone 3. Also, I tried to subscribe to podcasts I had subscribed to before and got a message saying I can't do it with this phone.

As far as I'm aware there have been two updates to Airport/TC software/hardware yet I still cannot get my TC to mount on my desktop except as a 'sharepoint'. If I double click the icon it tells me the alias can't find the original item.
This makes it really awkward to use as I appear to have to disconnect and reconnect the TC until it lists the contents in a Finder window.
I'm thinking about binning the TC altogether and getting one of those LG NAS drives with a Blu-Ray burner built in. Does anyone have any user experience with these?
Does anyone from Apple ever read these pages? Surely they can fix this? I only inherited it after updating to Snow Leopard and indeed I'm still running Leopard on another partition and the TC works exactly as it should.
It isn't exactly a cheap piece of kit to just dispose of (especially in 1TB guise) and I really see no reason why that decision is being forced upon me because of a glitch in a purchased Apple software upgrade.
Come on Apple, sort it out!
    Cheers
    Rich
