I have an error msg when itunes starts up, saying registry settings used by itunes drivers for burning cds/dvds are missing.
It wants me to uninstall and reinstall itunes software. If I do, will I loose all the song's on my computer that
were stored in it>?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
When you reinstall iTunes, your iTunes library won't be modified, so you won't lose any of the songs you have in it, but make a backup of your iTunes library on another folder just in case

Trying to sync but getting told i have 2 itunes librarys and need to remove my iphone from 1 library but i will then loose all my pics,songs ect

i plug my iphone 4 into my laptop and try to sync but i just keep getting the message THIS IPHONE ALREADY HAS AN EXISTING ITUNES LIBRARY,REMOVE THIS IPHONE FROM THIS LIBRARY TO ACCESS PREVIOUS LIBRARY.
I have 905 songs on my phone and only 5 of them show on my itunes library so if i remove my iphone from 2nd account i will loose 900 songs right,but without doing so i can no longer sync my phone to laptop...
hope somone has some ideas of what im trying to explain and help me because its very annoying...thank you

I accidentally deleted Quick time. It is needed to run itunes. A message tells me to uninstall Itunes and re install it again. My concern is : will i loose all my music library in process? Here's some additional info :

No, because your music is stored elsewhere on your computer (most likely under My Music from within My Documents). I have had to follow this procedure a few times and have never lost a song. So go ahead and re-install.

Your question confuses me a bit, since if all your iTunes purchases were made with the same Apple ID then you will not lose anything.
The iPhone is smart enough to know the iTunes Library with which it is synced. It can only be synced to one at a time. If you attempt to sync her iPhone with your computer, or any computer other than hers for example, iTunes will ask you what you want to do. You can transfer its purchased content to your computer, or you can elect to erase and sync it to your iTunes library.
"Erase and sync" does exactly what it says and in that order. First, the phone is erased. Then, it is synced to the iTunes Library that is on that computer's account. If your iTunes Library already contains your purchased music, then after syncing the iPhone will too. On the other hand if that iTunes Library is empty to begin with, guess what happens.

You can a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. From here you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using a lot of the utilities below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime?

I have 2nd gen iPod nano with songs from iTunes but also burnt from CDs. I now have a new laptop currently without iTunes or any music on. Is there anyway for me to connect the iPod to iTunes on the laptop and not loose all of the songs on it?

Pretty much as it says above. I don't want to loose all my old songs that weren't downloaded and am wondering if there's anyway that I can make sure there safe to connect it to a new laptop with no music on at present.

You shouldn't lose anything from your computer. You should always make sure that your backup copy of your computer ( including your itunes library) is up to date before any update.

Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)

well there is a problem with your plan, itunes really wont let you downgrade, if you where to try it would be a **** of a journey. If your music was added from folders and such the music will still be where it was added from, if yuo bought the music through itunes there is a very good chance it will be gone, but can be recovered through itunes via your account

By the "restore iTunes symbol" do you mean a USB cable and the iTunes symbol? If so the device is in Recovery Mode and the device has already been erased and it needs to be Restored using iTunes.
