HT1926 After I upgrade to the new iTunes, it is still version 10.6.0 -- on my other computer, it is version 10.6.1.

I have 3 computers - a Mac, a Windows 7 computer, and a Windows XP computer. On the Windows XP computer, whenever I upgrade to the latest version of iTunes, I have to first uninstall all Apple programs and then dowload the latest version. Today i did that, but when I start to install itunes, it tells me it is about to install version 10.6.0, but that is not the latest version. Why would today's download be 10.6.0?

Is that on the XP or the Windows 7 system, A?
Are both systems 32-bit? Or is the Windows 7 system 64-bit?

I have the same problem, but don't expect Apple to help! I rang their help line and explained the situation and that the same experience is reported all over their forum and they would not assist unless I paid for a one year help subsciption.
This company has lost the plot! They create software that universally will not work then expect customers to pay to have it fixed. Technically I should walk straight into the nearest apple shop and ask for a refund, as the device is no longer fit for purpose!

I just recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. I went to plug it in to iTunes to get everything back on to my new phone and it says it cannot do anything until I update to the latest version of iTunes. But, when I go to upgrade my iTunes it says I can't because my mac is a 10.5.8 version and the new iTunes is only avalible for a mac 11.0.3 version. You have to upgrade Mac OS X. First, open  > About this Mac, and tell me what processor you have. If it's a Intel Core Solo, Duo or 2 Duo, you can upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
First, buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard Make a backup of your files, insert the DVD and upgrade to Snow Leopard. After upgrading, open  > Software Update, and install 10.6.8. Finally, open  > Software Update, and install the most recent iTunes.

I just upgraded to the new iTunes 12.0.1, and I can't sync it to my Airport Express. I noticed the Airply icon is just the volume control. Is anyone having this problem?

My brother got a new iPod for Christmas and it says that we need the newer version of iTunes. I've tried to upgrade but it will not let me because the network resource that im trying to use is unavailable. I don't know if maybe somehow the file got deleted? (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

My computer just upgraded to the new itunes 11.1.4. It did not open.

So I did followed the directions on website told me to do uninstalled and cleaned my temp files. It will not install. I receive 2 messages after install.

When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

You can rename the content-prefs.sqlite file to content-prefs.sqlite.old (or delete the file) in the Profile Folder to reset the page zoom on all sites.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Will I lose my photos after I upgrade to the new iPhoto upgrade

I tried to open my iphoto icon and it gave me a warning message. My hubby and I recently upgraded our system to Lion and downloaded iCloud.
I am so scared that all my photos will be lost after I press upgrade. I was unable to quit iphoto the normal way and had to force quit. I hope I never screwed things up.
Just a note: My hubby backed up our files a while ago on Time Machine, but with his track record, I am not so confident that things were done properly and therefore I need a professional to help me out.

I guess I should give a little bit of hitory.
My hubby put on file vault on his profile and he failed to put in the correct password. Since then I/we have been unable to open a bunch of our files.
I gave him instructions not to download or do anything that would jeopardize any of our files anymore. I cannot, with a good conscience, upgrade anything that I am not sure of.
I do not want him to turn around and say I told you so like I said to him.
We have a bunch of photos on iphoto and now I cannot see them because of the message it gives me: cancel or upgrade.
Once bitten, twice shy!
I need someone to give me the ok to say 100% that I will not lose any of my pics.
