on Windows Pro, trying to update itunes and it stops towards end of download, wont install because of "invalid signature". how do i do a "manual update"?

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another install. Does it go through this time?

Watch that video. Where he uses itunes.msi if you are using 64 bit use itunes64.msi. That should resovle the problem for you. Be sure to save the new 11.1 installer before beginning so you can run it after deleting the file. Hope that helps.

I even tried this on a iMac with similar results. The only difference was that the errorcode was called 2001 instead of 21.
Today I took the phone to www.iphoneambulancen.dk. A guy (in Aarhus, Denmark) that specializes in iPhone repairs. I figured, that given his occupation he'd seen most errorcdes. Two hours later, he called me back, and told me that he had replaced the battery.
So, it turns out that a broken battery can cause this behaviour.

I just bought a new iPod touch and it is my 3rd iPod.
i have been trying to download the lastest version of iTunes and everytime i try to download it, it says "unable to download itunes 7.5 becuase of invalid signature."

I can't help you, but I am having the same error message : 1921. I bought a new ipod nano and cannot use it because of this. Installation seems to be going fine until it stalls at the part where it says Status: Stopping Services. I don't have dial-up so I don't think that's the issue. I have contacted Apple support and all they can say is to look on the discussion board, continue to look on the help page, and read an article that says this happens when you try to install itunes 5, and that it could be that Windows Management Istrumentation service isn't running on your computer OR that Norton Interntet security 2005 is running on the computer. To resolve this issue, install itunes 5.0.1 or later. This makes no sense because I am trying to install itunes 7.5.
I have tried to uninstall itunes and I get another error message: -1603 Fatal Error During installation. consult Windows Installer Help(Msi.chm) or MSDN for more info. I have tried doing this, but I really don't know much about computers. I'm not really sure if I am tring to remove itunes correctly. I am just so frustrated and hoping that someone out there has a solution to this particular problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated!

After accepting T&C i hit the 'install I1 item' button. It then attempt to shrink and the instantly expandes again asking me to hit the install button again. Reboot has no effect. Any idea?
