HT1933 I have an i phone 5s and when i am trying to download "free" apps..it's asking me to fill the details of my card to "purchase" the app.
I do not have my card for sometime now .
I do not understand what the problem is .
I have had this problem myself. It means you had/have insufficient funds on you iTunes account from a past purchase. Say you bought a $5 app but you only have $4, it won't let you get any apps free or not and won't let you update apps.

If you have an existing ID, & you don't want to use a credit card, you'll have to redeem an iTunes gift card. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to create a new ID by following the directions here, EXACTLY:

Thank you. Here's the strange part, it did work at one time but when the last IOS upgrade occured, that's when the issue started.

Try to take a look at the top right corner on iTunes. Does it say "Sign In" or "Apple ID" like [email protected]

I used a 25 dollar gift card on my account and I spent it all and now I can't even download free apps is there a way to fix this?
Did you enter a credit card when you created your Apple ID? If you created the ID and never entered a credit card, but used a gift card from the start, you probably didn't create the account correctly. The bottom line is that you have to enter a credit card now. You don't have to use it, but I'm assuming that's why you can't download free apps. You still need to enter the credit card because you didn't creat your Apple ID the correct way for not using a credit card.

If you are an Admin on the system and the owner of the iTunes account, then you should be able to download, unless there was a problem with the app, and Apple has blocked it.
If your not an Admin or iTunes account owner... you are probably seeing Parental Control restrictions working as designed. -

If you can you can choose the None option and only put the card info in when you want to buy something. It also makes your account less suceptable to hackers as there is nothing that they can use to buy anything. -

Based on what you have said so far there is no way to answer your question. You must have a valid payment method on file with the iTunes store, even to download free apps. The payment method is used to verify who you are. The profile information in your iTunes account must match the information for the credit card you have entered. -
Mzcommerce.jmssenderror_message and error 11111 while trying to download a app.(Minecraft PE)
So I tried to download a app,minecraft PE, and it said mzcommerce.jmssenderror_message. I then tried to download it on computer and error 11111 came up.This happened after i tried to update minecraft to 0.5.0,and it repeatedly failed, so i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall..Any help?
Add one more disgruntled user to the list. First noticed that I couldn't download upgrades on my iPhone. It would prompt for password as normal, would briefly show "waiting" on the app icon and then just stops with app store still showing update. True deleting the app and installing from iTunes. This worked, but iTunes library had old version of app so it still showed an upgrade. I then deleted the app from the phone and iTunes and that is when I started getting the 11111 error. I've since discovered that I can download any new content to any of my linked iDevices, but cannot download any type of previously purchased content. No previously purchased music not on device, no previously purchased uninstalled apps, no installed app upgrades, etc. ALL show up in purchased content lists, but when you attemp to download it appears to be starting and then simply fails with no errors on the iDevice(s). I've also tried signing out of my account in settings - store, performing a hard reset and then signing back in, but alas, no success.
C'mon Apple, obviously a problem that is happening to numerous users and it started happening to us all at the exact same time. You got us iAddicted, now give us our iFix. -
Hi I got my son a I pad mini for his Christmas first he used I tunes card which was fine then I entered my bank details to download a game you pay for now because I've entered the bank details every time he try's to down load a free game it wontlethim get it as its asking for credit card information ,
Can somebody tell me how I can get it back to when he first got it and he could down load all the free apps. Without card information or how I can get the card information bit away thanksGo to settings on your device then select app store. If you tap on the email that is shown it will give you an option to view your apple ID. When you are viewing your apple ID, tap on payment method and it will show a list of credit card options. The one at the bottom should say none. If you then tap none for payment options the credit card will not be connected. If you go on to the app store again you should be able to download free apps with out any issues.
