HT1933 My Account has been stolen: Email from paypal@groupon.gr

This morning I received an invoice for an ITunes purchase which I did not make. It is from the email Apple iTunes <[email protected]>
When I clicked on a link to state that I did not make this purchase it took me to a form asking for all of my personal information. Of course, I did not fill this out.
Please investigate and let me know what to do.

It's a fake, phishing for your personal information. Do not respond to the email, just delete it. You may wish to change the password to your Apple ID as a precaution, but unless a charge actually appears in your iTunes Store purchase history or in your credit card statement, there's nothing further you probably need to do.

    I'm sorry to hear of your issue. Unfortunately Skype can't restore any funds lost as a result of an account being hacked. This because the only way an account can be hacked is by the hacker either knowing or "cracking" your password. For password advice please visit here:

    If your account has been hacked then see if you can get its password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com
    If you can't then you will have to contact Support in your country (these are user-to-user forums), they should be able to get you access to your account (after they've confirmed your id and that it's your account).

    Can anyone tell me why for the past couple of days i've been getting emails that my Blackberry ID Account has been locked? Email message is this:
    Your Account has been locked due to too many login attempts
    When this happened the other day - I logged in and changed my password - however I just got the same email again this morning - and I haven't been trying to access the account.
    Is there a possiblity someone is trying to hack the account? Can't see for what purpose....

    The Message you recieved is generally displayed when the BlackBerry ID has been entered 10 times unsuccessfully.

    It's a phishing attempt to get your account id and password, the 'validate' link on that page isn't an Apple website (there are similar phishing attempts regularly posted on here) - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

    It did not come from Apple. Do not click on the link and do not supply your password. It is a scam. You can report the phishing email to Apple here:

    You can't, unless you have a backup of your old computer's drive..

    it may be a bit difficult to prove that the stolen email address is really yours. I think your best option is to find ways to retrieve that email first.  Most email hosts offers various ways to retrieve a stolen email address such as answering security questions, or sending a new password/code to an alternative email address.  Then once you regain your email account, you can send a request to Skype support using that email address to unlink the unauthorized account to it.
