HT1933 New Yorker new sub will not download after 2 days 4G and Wireless

I have never had a problem getting anything to download, but yesterday I downloaded NewYorker app then one month sub and the sub downloaded the cover and table of contents and each page like Talk of the Town has a title but says waiting to download. I use 4g but took to coffee shop to download and use their wireless but did not work.
I have not received a purchase email yet, it is listed as purchased on my Apple Account though. The charge has not come in on my online credit card statement.
I have deleted app now, I don't want to fool with New Yorker if they don't have their act together.
I subscribe through Apple to NYTimes and Economist. Not a problem. I have about 10 other apps that all work just fine and all have downloaded and updated just fine.
Any suggestions.

I hear that it will stop restoring after 3 days, so if you can wait another day, to make total of three you should be OK and will not need to force anything.

Itunes app will not download after 1+ months

So I downloaded an app to itunes (that I paid for thank you very much in case anyone thought I stole it) and it will not download onto my iphone 4. I have downloaded other apps from itunes that have downloaded successfully. Every time I try to download it, the error message that comes up says that I need to update my iphone software. To add to this frustration I just became a member of the Apple Iphone Family by upgrading to an iphone about two months ago so I mean come on, how much newer does my iphone software need to be if I just got the phone two months ago?? And to add to the frustration, I cannot call from another phone to solve this problem eventhough apple care says I need to so I can solve this problem.
So help a guy out here Apple Family. How do I solve this problem without doing a system restore and wiping out all my music and files?

Well, what version iOS do you have? What version does the software require? Have you tried contacting the developer?
Doing a restore only deletes them from your device. Simply re-installing them via iTunes solves the problem of "wiping out all my music and files"

I have a new Iphone 4 that will not download my photos to my Mac air

I dropped my Iphone 3 and the glass shattered. I have a new I phone and when I went to sync the photos it said there was an error. Did not define the error and would not sync the new photos I took with my new phone. UGH

Facetime is not an App. You go to a contact that has and iPhone4 as well and call them via the Facetime option in the callling screen.

Brand New 27" iMac i5 will not boot after installing software updates

I just purchased my new iMac 2 nights ago. I have been getting it setup with my apps, mobile me account, etc, and luckily just setup time machine and let it do a full backup.
I just ran Software Update for the first time, and now the machine will not boot. It hangs on the grey screen for about 1 minute before the Apple logo comes up. About 30 seconds after the Apple logo comes up, the grey spinning gear shows up, and about 1 minute after that I get the grey screen of death (You must restart your computer).
Any suggestions? A little frustrated here....

If you mean did I receive error messages, No, I didn't. However, the desktop reverted to the default purple night-sky looking thing, my applications and such all disappeared from the dock, and I couldn't open any files or folders (you don't have permission to ...), etc. I tried signing out and back in, rebooting, using a second admin account on the computer, creating a new admin account, etc. I ran Disk Utility, hardware checker, etc. No errors were found, and nothing changed. I could see all my files and folders, but they had a small red circle in the corner, indicating "locked" or "no permission".
I'll find the lines from the console log if that will help. The error showed up immediately and is in the computer's attempt to access the user/library/application support/sync services and same path to user/library/logs/sync services/log. (or something reasonably close to this. If you can use the exact path, I will get it) The link between my settings and files, and a password is apparently corrupted or something, so that the computer won't even let me change the desktop or any file, so I can't save, edit or discard anything, and can't drag files to another computer on the home network.
At least I'm still under the 90 day warranty, so I can call tomorrow. At this point, the SMART check says the drive is good, so I assume it's software. The only things new are the three auto Apple software updates I installed yesterday, so I immediately suspect them. But who knows?

Apps updates will not download after syncing ipod

My app up dates won;t download after syncing ipod, they all say waiting, pausing and unpausing doesn't make them download any more like it did the first time this happened.... New installs do the same. itunes is up to date. ipod has iOS 5.1.1 I haven't changed anything either.. pleae help.

Lightroom 5.2 CC will not download after deleting Lightroom 5.2 from my machine

Prior to signing up for Abobe CC Photoshop and Light room Package I had downoaded and updated my destop computer based Lightroom 5 to 5.2. Subsequently, I decided to register for the CC PS and LR package offer. After registering for the clould based products I received the CC download home screen and selected PS,BR, and LR for installation. PS amd BR loaded as the CC product; however the LR product simply said up to date and showed no CC. A response to this question in Lightroom Killer Tips indicated that PC computer-based LR 5.2 needed to be uninstalled prior to donloading/install LR 5.2 CC. After making a copy of my machine based LR 5.2, I uninstalled the program and rebooted the machine. I then again invoked the CC APP window and attempted to download LR 5.2 CC. Once again the CC App window indicated the LR app was up to date but did not download/install the LR 5.2 CC version.
I like the PS-LR CC concept, but I don't want to be paying for an app that I cannot install and operate.

Reinstall the original 5.2 and forget the CC version for now. It's exactly the same piece of software. What you did get was a second license, useful if you have more than two machines, but completely redundant if you haven't.
The situation is different when Lr 6 comes out. You'll get that as part of CC and don't need to purchase the upgrade. So at that point you can just install CC and leave 5.x where it is.

Appart from dead download link on recent purchase window.....severl bugs on log in windows. Purchased by phone after "My Cart" would not complete purchase.
Tech support has been a horrible experience.

LR 5 download works fine for me. If you cannot click on the download link or button and have it do anything then I'd suspect virus-protection or internet-security application on your computer is blocking the download, or that the javascript on the Adobe page that hosts the link isn't being understood by your browser, or that your internet connection isn't stable enough to support a 800MB download.
Things to try are to disable your virus-scanner and internet security temporary along with allowing popups in your browser, and trying a different browser.
Since the LR 5.2 release candidate is available at Adobe Labs, you might also try download and installing that and when the release version of LR 5.2 is available, that update should be available by using Help / Updates... in LR 5.2 RC.

Firefox will not download. it always cancels and i retry, it doesnt save anything

o.k. i right click and hit save pic or i hit download u tube, it don't matter what it is...............it won't download or save it
the download window pops up and it cancels the download
i hit retry it says it downloads it but it doesn't.
i cant open it from the download window and its not in the file

i end up using internet exp to save or download

Itunes will not launch after fresh install and repeated re-installs

I've been browsing around the forums here and the support system hoping for an answer to this question.
On Monday my hard drive died and I had to buy a new one. I reinstalled windows and itunes among other things. I have a brand new Video Ipod as well. I haven't even had a chance to plug it in!
Itunes worked for about 2 days and suddenly stopped working. I mean literally, if I double click on the icon and start up the program, it immediately crashes and asks me if I want to send an Error report.
I removed and reinstalled and rebooted about 3 times to no avail. I re-downloaded Itunes + quicktime just in case there was something wrong with the installer. This did not fix the problem.
I then tried messing with my "sound" settings as suggested by support and people on the forums. I can not find the option to change my sound output to 1400000khz or whatever. Nor does changing my system to "Speaker mode headphones" fix the issue as suggested by apple here:

Quicktime is also screwed up and will not load on websites. It shows an icon in my taskbar but when I click on it, nothing happens. Even if Itunes is uninstalled, the icon still shows up in the tray. I cannot delete the folders or find any option in Uninstall programs to remove it.
As a last resort, I rolled my system back to Monday when I had just installed Windows, default drivers and SP2. A clean system. I then installed Itunes as the very first program and surprise - it crashed upon opening.
I have no idea what to do at this point. Without Itunes my ipod is almost usless.

Please try out the following workarounds and see if it helps:
1. Renaming SLCache and SLStore folders
Please go to following location:
WIN: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
MAC: System Library/Application Support/Adobe
and rename the SLCache folder present there.
Similarly, rename SLStore folder present at following location
WIN: C:\ProgramData\Adobe
MAC: System Library/Application Support/Adobe
After renaming these folders, try to login into the sign-in screen again.
In case it does not help, try out this:
2. Switch the User account to Hidden Administrator. Try signing in from there.
Enable the (Hidden) Administrator Account on your WIN machine. To enable the same, please refer to link.
Sign Out of current user account and then log in with the new account created.
Try launching Photoshop Elements Editor and login into the sign in screen that pops up.
If editor launches up fine, you can disable the Hidden Administrator account created in first step. Steps to disable the account have been mentioned in the same link.

Lightroom CC (2015) will not launch after install removed and re installed and re boot nothing!

Lightroom CC 2015 was installed today via Creative Cloud but will not open, removed program and re installed still nothing. Did a reboot and still nothing. Creative Cloud says that it is installed.

Update: the trick is to try it over and over and over again. CC desktop warns it wants me to register my product and complete a profile (bizarre.) But it is updating the catalog now so I presume it will work.
Have same problem. Shows installed; I found "Adobe LIghtroom.app" which was installed today 1.51gb; when I click on it it flashes and then nothing. I restarted the mac, restarted the CC app, nothing. Very frustrating and makes me wonder if the Cloud solved any problems for me.

Backup of ITunes music will not download after transferred to new computer

I am trying to move my music from my old Sony A190 to my new AR and the music will restore to the new system but when I try to sync I get a message telling me "Some of the files were not copied to the iPod because you are not authorized to play this music on this computer" ...this isn't the exact error message but it's close. How do I get my music onto my new computer?

There is a site now posted in this forum where you can download iWork 8. After the download is complete, burn a copy of the application to a disk. Remove the old copy of iWork. Install new. So far, I have not been prompted to enter my activation code, nor has there been any notice about this being a Trial copy. Perhaps, somewhere, somehow, the program found the old activation code hidden in my HD. Anyway, it's all working.

New version of Firefox will not download

I'm running Firefox 3.6.4, but every time I download the new version, after it's done downloading it just disappears! The download folder is completely empty!
I have gone into the help menu, checked for updates and it says there are no new updates, yet Firefox still tells me that I am running this old version.
What am I doing wrong, or what step am I missing??

I have a password manager built into my fingerprint scanner. It worked on the older version of Firefox but it will not on this new version. It will not recognize log in pages and will not load information.

With the old version, all I had to do was go to the log in page to any of my email accounts or membership sites and scan my finger. It would fill in the fields and open my account. I like this new version of Firefox, but if I am not able to use that password manager then I will have to install the older version.
